  1. Well, I may have spoke too soon. That is an interesting and well thought out, not to mention clever, and timely I might add, rebuttal. Allow me to share my response:
  2. What is it with you and gayness? Which promotion? I'm dying to find something to go to every once in a while, and I live near Dayton. As for wanting to be a wrestler, my best friend and I thought about it. He had to leave school for monetary reasons, and then started wrestling with a group in his hometown in South Carolina. I won't start since I just got married, but if I ever moved near where he lived I'd start there.
  3. How do you know so much about this website? I bet you've spent hours on end giving chicks bad ratings to damage their self esteem as a way to kill the boredom between classes. Oh, that's me. Sorry.
  4. Another incoherent and uninteresting post by Banders
  5. I hate you. Ok, I'm just jealous.
  6. Spoken like a true BoSox fan. I'm still having a hard time believing the Sox won.
  7. Good Answer, Good Answer!!!!
  8. I'll add this thread to the mix as well. Ban the Goddanm graddady.
  9. WHOOSH! oh wait, that joke is old isn't it?
  10. A gimmick poster is when Inc posts as another person and lies.
  11. Now THAT'S interesting.
  12. Do you believe EVERYTHING you hear on Fox News?
  13. Norton got rid of most of mine.
  14. Does anyone remember a few months ago when Kane and Lita were both looking directly at the camera until they heard "ok go!", and then Kane started attacking Lita? This is why I like this idea. My change: Make storylines last. Plan them out before hand, and allow room for some modifications, but plan them out. And keep them simple. Not super simple, but something along the lines of what Kreski did. We know there's a locker room, and that these guys are atheletes hanging out backstage. Plan storylines like that. (Yes, I remember the Kane/Jericho coffee feud.)
  15. As for Shelley: Wow. Not to keep bringing up ROH, but I was shocked by his mic work when I saw him. He plays a great classic heel. (Perfect Example: Stomping Jimmy Jacobs into a corner, and taunting him with "HUSS JIMMY, HUSS!!) I'm stumped by TNA's lack of ability to use him as a full fledged heel. As for the international deals: Why not strike a deal with other companies where TNA tapes matches involving TNA workers, and airs it during Impact? i.e.-AJ Styles takes part in the Super J Cup tournament. If/when he loses, Tenay pimps how the tournament is the best of the best in wrestling, and if AJ loses, it's because of the quality of his opponents not because of his lack of talent. Do this with everyone, everywhere. Everyone wins. I've been saying this the entire time I've been watching TNA 23 Hire a writer/booker who can book a clean ending.
  16. The first, and the last.
  17. To be honest, I think TNA and ROH are about evenly sized, with different goals. This is why ALL comparisons don't work. I do think some are valid, though. I agree that there should be better matches out of TNA's roster, and wonder how they can't put on really good matches. *crosses fingers hoping that Victory Road would actually produce good matches* (Side note: I was surprised with the amount of "normal" wrestling fans at the ROH show I was at. Lots of biker looking guys, several grandmas, and lots of fat people. It was an oddly non-smart crowd.)
  18. Here it was I thought MushroomHead had too many members
  19. WMD, I definitely agree here. To further put it in perspective, that'd be like a TNA supporter (or some would say apologist) saying "well if TNA was as big as WWE, they'd be the #1 Company in the World," but they're not, so, well, they're not. IMO, that's a huge conditional statement. I also agree that while they might not be booking everyone properly right now (The Truth, for example), there isn't anything wrong with the TNA roster as a whole. I disagree. ROH has a following from New Jersey to Minneapolis, and make money touring selling tickets to PAYING fans. TNA has yet to do that. And while I understand that the anniversary show may have felt major league, I'm fairly sure it's not quite the same now. Don't get me wrong, I'm not the stereotypical ROH mark that thinks TNA is the most retarded thing in the world. I like TNA, I just think ROH has a better foundation than TNA does. If TNA would have started by touring instead of just putting on TV shows, I think it would have helped them. ANd yes, by God, they misbook nearly EVERYONE.
  20. motherfucker. I hate it when you're right.
  21. I hate kewl. I think it is evil. It will bring unending doom to the world.
  22. A youth leader in my church told me that he used to have sex whenever he saw fit. A few years later(his early twenties), he converted and met his wife, who was a virgin. They love each other very much, and are still married to this day. But every time the idea of his sex life before her is somehow brought about, she cries. Not just a few tears, but "I have to leave the room, I can't talk to you right now" crying. He told me that it's harder to deal with those situations than to talk about his drug use or his crime record in an interview. My best friend is 26. He's gotten more action than the back seat of a 72 Dodge. He's decided to stop having sex, because he realizes that it's prevented him from getting into several relationships which could've lead to marriage. This is why I'm glad that I was a virgin when I got married. It may not change anyone's mind, but I will never regret my abstinence. As for the early marriage deal, I have a buddy who's married because he was having sex. His wife was dumb enough to tell her parents, and they were forced into it. While I don't agree with it, I understand their logic. But my argument is this: In Biblical times, there was only divorce for limited reasons. Marriage was lifelong, whether you wanted out or not. Now, it's not so much. And you can respect marriage infinitely and still get a divorce. I know, because I've known people who have. Marriage isn't about being happy with each other. It's a commitment whether or not you're happy with each other. COMMITMENT. I wish more people saw it that way.
  23. personally i prefer tna. mainly cause of the attitude of the roh fans. and the way that the promotional machine drives home that its not sports entertainment over and over. plus tna always fells like a bigger thing than roh. I have to disagree. The promotional machine isn't promoting that as much anymore, and their shows are much higher quality than TNA's. TNA is a company which is literally smaller than ROH trying to act like they're as big as WWE. If ROH were to get a national TV deal, it would blow TNA out of the water. Part of this is because they have better wrestling, partly because they have better booking, partly because they have better wrestlers. I went to the ROH show in Dayton to see what everyone has been making such a big deal out of, and I understand it. I think watching TNA live would be like watching the local promotion I used to watch when I lived in TN. Mike has been right all along. TNA is indy trying to be national. And at least ROH's fans care. Most of TNA's don't solely because TNA wants to manipulate them. Samoa Joe alone stunned me live. It's been a few days, and I'm still in awe. I've still got "The Champ is Here" ringing in my ears. He walks, talks and acts like a champion. Jarrett should take lessons.
  24. Because I just moved, and you guys are my only friends.
  25. Very True, IDRM, very true. Marriage would be dating with a license if you didn't consider it a serious commitment.
