Saw it the other night. I liked it. It was too long, and had too many "they're fucked now, oh no wait something astonishing happened" moments, that by the bug fight you knew they were going to be saved by something random. The psychology was good, as Milky said it was mainly Stockholm Syndrome, but also her looking for love and someone to protect her and Kong representing an ideal. I don't get where all those romance murmors got started from. If someone got kidnapped, then the kidnapper protected them from bad guys, you'd have the same relationship. The sentiment at the end didn't sit well, but it was a decent telling of a good story.

If I had a hammer, I probably wouldn't hammer in the morning. That'd be antisocial.

Best acts I saw this year were Saul Williams, Artic Monkeys, Arcade Fire and The Go! Team. Nothing else really stands out as being amazing.
