  1. My team is going to be the Gothams.
  2. Corey Hart and Evan Longoria are your final two All-Star selections.
  3. Rivera is who I was originally going to take instead of Whitey.
  4. Round 1, Pick 6: Bernie Williams, CF Round 2, Pick 1 (7): Whitey Ford, SP I was so tempted to take a different guy at the 7 spot, but I know Ford won't be there when the next pick gets back to me. I think I may have another sleeper that I think should get back to me in Round 3 or 4.
  5. I have an idea of the first 5 to go, so sitting at 6 (and then 1 right after that) is an interesting position to be watching from.
  6. This was what I was going to ask about too. I like the rules.
  7. Jason Varitek made the all-star team. Nuff said.
  8. I'm interested, depending on when you are doing it.
  9. Back to back games with Buck/McCarver, and now Miller/Morgan. Ladeefuckinda.
  10. My asshole neighbor across the street. He's called the cops on us for fireworks 3 years in a row now. He acts friendly and whatnot usually, but as my dad said yesterday, if he has a problem with what we're doing, then he should come over and say it to our face first. (Me and my brother were launching bottle rockets during the afternoon in the back yard). Then he can threaten us with calling the 5-0. Little does he know, my family is friendly with pretty much the town's entire police force. A cop actually showed up at our back fence, but the guy was a friend of my dad's and just suggested we hold off for a while until it got dark. Neighbor has a zillion American flags lining his driveway and his garden. If he doesn't like the fireworks (several other neighbors were launching them too) then he can go away for the weekend to a place where there aren't going to be any, because calling the fucking cops has never stopped us before and they probably won't in the future, either. No one else has ever had a problem in our neighborhood until this guy moved in a few years ago.
  11. Maybe Cena wins in the next few minutes, then Punk comes out and beats him for it. Punk is your heel and then you have Cena on the chase, as HHH goes off to Smackdown.
  12. Hogan-esque. Especially next to Cena.
  13. I thought Batista already had his "last chance" at Edge last summer.
  14. I feel the same way about memorials on rear windshields Those are pretty tacky. They were the rage back in high school.
  15. Ponson pitched a very ugly 6 inning shutout last night. In the 2nd inning he loaded the bases with no out and worked out of it, then again in the 3rd he loaded them with one out and again escaped. I figured it would either go down like that, or a blow out of game 1 proportions, with no middle ground. Just one of those hunches. Even Igawa-san made a cameo and wasn't that offensive. The pen sucked balls in the 1st game, big time. But I still like Edwar Ramirez alot. More K's that innings pitched (25.0/27) and an ERA+ of 112. His change up is nice.
  16. I heard Tino Martinez is managing the USA team. Also, today is Derek Jeter's 34th birthday.
  17. Jeter's slump directly coincided with him being drilled in the wrist by Daniel Cabrera several weeks back. He refused to come out of the line up and it hurt the team and also his numbers. Lately, he has begun to heat up again, and his SS has been passable so far. Cano has been awful at the plate, showing signs of life the last few games. But his play in the field has been exempliary. Melky has been flat out awful. Neither him or his buddy ever take any pitches, they make weak hacks, and they are black holes in the line up. And the past two days, Melky has been leading off with Damon limping a bit. Not good. I do not want to get into the whole debate again. But Joba Chamberlain has to be a starter. He is a starter. He will be a starter. That's it. Ramirez, Veras, and Ohlendorf have been fine in the pen.
  18. Having to drive 2 hours to Pennsylvania to get finger prints tomorrow. I hate Pennsylvania.
  19. But I thought all titles were being defended...
  20. That's 8 more runs than the Yankees could muster against them in 3 games. And 2 more than what the Pirates hung on them tonight.
  21. Their commissioner has been dead for 43 years.
  22. I bought it used last year but never really got into it for whatever reason. I couldn't score any runs, for one thing. Nebraska's SP #44 is Joba Chamberlain, though.
