  1. First PPV I ordered: Survivor Series 1998 First and only PPV I've attended: King of the Ring 2001
  2. I would figure that you are hall of fame worthy if you are considered one of the best ever at your position.
  3. I recall the Shane vs. Vince garbage match being a very fun brawl. The best part was when the sedated Linda got out of her chair and kicked Vince in the balls. I also remember a quick shot of 'WCW talent' sitting in a skybox for this match. The previous Monday had been the big Raw/Nitro simulcast.
  4. Oakland signed uber bust William Joseph. If it weren't for Madden 08, I would have had no idea this guy was even on the Giants for this long.
  5. That's phenominal. What is Theo's rationale here? No way this guy sticks as the Sawx #2 backstop, unless he can really handle a knuckleball.
  6. He's only sorry because he got caught - and it cost him everything.
  7. I guess you must love the preseason, because in Lorenzen's 3 year NFL career he's completed 4 passes out of 8 attempts for a total of 28 yards. He's also rushed twice for 4 yards. He is fat, though.
  8. I would be shocked if A-Rod, Jeter, Mo Rivera, Randy Johnson, Greg Maddux, Kid Griffey, and Mike Piazza recieved less than 95% of the vote on their first ballot. Rivera especially, now that the way for closers has been paved by Sutter and Gossage, whose vote totals were only in the 80%'s. I really hope MLB and the Hall stick to their guns on the Rose issue, also. All-time hit king or not, the guy a) broke the cardinal rule in baseball that hangs in every clubhouse, b) arrogantly signed his own lifetime ban agreement, assuming they would let him back within a year, and c) denied, denied, denied for 20 years until he finally admitted that he did it...when his book came out. He's a lowlife in my opinion. Sorry, Pete, you blew it on your own. Shoeless Joe is in the same boat. His stats don't seem to show that he threw the 1919 Series, but he did take a few thousand bucks from the mobsters organizing the thing, whether he could read or not.
  9. Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania is the minor league of life.
  10. It's official, Giants signed Carr
  11. Read this article to learn that HGH has no known benefits for athletic performance.
  12. He started wearing glasses last year. I was holding out hope that the key to his career could be simple a Ricky Vaughn solution. Nope.
  13. The coolest song begins and ends with 'Enter Sandman' for Mariano Rivera.
  14. Free agent QB David Carr is visiting with the Giants.
  15. Those look like the color scheme of the early 90's California Angels.
  16. I'm not too up on all these things, so I choose whichever is the most reliable one. Is there somewhere to get the 07 ones to compare them against the actual final standings, also?
  17. Haren as a #2 guy in the NL could do some damage, though. Are the projected W-L records available yet?
  18. I remember there was an Angle/Benoit half hour submission only Iron Man match. It was awesome.
  19. Kaz Matsui got torn a new asshole. Literally. Yeah.
  20. Are there any stores left that sell old used N64 games?
  21. Navarro was a peice in the Johnson/Vazquez trade in 2005.
  22. I just check the Mania line-up for the heck of it. Very underwhelming. My 2 cents. I'll go back to the Sports folder now.
  23. Didn't Navarro have the lowest OPS of all 800-odd eligible candidates in the bigs last year? I know he's really young, but, yikes. I think Mauer will move from behind the plate sooner than later also. He's too valuable to afford getting as many days off as catchers need. (For some reason I can't make new paragraphs)
  24. I like the black one because it's not as bright in the eyes and easy to read.
  25. Maybe they can trade him to somebody looking for a good 3-4 nose tackle.
