Seems to defeat the purpose of the draft a little bit to me. I hate when the guy signs before Saturday. Would the #2 team then be allowed to sign their guy before the draft, too?

The funniest one was as soon as the guy's position is announced, somebody yells "NO!!!"

I never understood why a team is allowed to sign their #1 pick before draft day. Can anyone explain?

It would be hilarious if Atlanta moved up to No.2 and Calvin Johnson ended up getting picked by Oakland. I think the only sure fire way to get CJ right now, is to move all the way up to the top, considering Da Raiders haven't tipped their hand yet.

Giambi has a really good eye himself, but sometimes I think he takes too many pitches. A lot of the time he will look at both strike 1 and 2, and usually one of them looks like its right in his killzone but he frustrates me and lays off.

According to Peter Abraham, Phil Hughes will be pitching tomorrow and I get to see Pettite at Friday's game if it doesn't get rained out. Oh well at least I don't have to see Karstens. I was disappointed when I got to the Stadium tonight to find out that the game was being postponed with no make up date, which is stupid, because they could have played a double header tomorrow. Toronto doesn't come in again until a 4 game series in July with no days off the day before or after the series. On the plus side, I got tickets at the box office for tomorrow so I can be there for Phil Hughes' MLB debut.
