Well, I partialyl agree. It depends on if Show is in shape. A tirm and fit Big Show can actually go pretty well in the ring. I can't recall specific matches off hand, as I was never a huge fan of the man, but I do seem to recall a general feeling that a fit Big Show with his working boots on could put out **-*** matches on a regular basis. For example, I seem to once recall in the Ross Report Ross stating that Show was hovering near 475-525 pounds at one point, and he needed to get down to about 400 or so.

As you all know courtesy of last night's Smackdown, the big show will soon be returning. Now, my question obviously is, what do they do with him? i'm wondering if they can somehow get that truly monster heel vibe built around him like they've only captured a couple of times before. They've kind of dropped the ball with Kane in that sense. and I don't mean Triple H-ish monster heel. I mean the " I am huge and can crush anything in my path" type heel. Kind of like Zues in No Holds barred. the kind of guy that just absolutely terrifies you. just bring him back and run 2 and 3 on 1 handicap matches for two or 3 weeks, and jsut have him DESTROY people. I hope they can pull it off with him, but I can see other idea working for the character as well. Do they play him face and bring up his imjuring of angle? Do they totally disregard all past history? There's multiple options.

The Wrestlemania DVD box set is the most obvious DVD to do by far. There are no plans for it that I know of, but you know it HAS to be coming at some point. They have the perfect time to do it now. They can release all 20 in one case, and then on top of that release 4 sets of 5, (1-5, 6-10, 11-15, 15-20) for that that don't want all 20.

I agree with the people above. I lurked for months unregistered. (this was before guest viewing was turned off) Besides making me a better poster when Ifinally decided to register, it also showed me what folders/posters were stupid/evil and that I shouldn't waste my time with them. That information has greatly increased my enjoyment of this place, because the posion that resides in it doesn't exist to me, I don't recognize it. So yes, I support getting a feel for the place before you just start firing off posts.

THE CHAMP'S CONDITION August 19th, 2004 JBL said he would defeat the Undertaker at SummerSlam, and he did just that. However, the WWE Champion did not pin the Deadman's shoulders to the mat. Rather, he picked up the win via disqualification. After the match, an enraged Undertaker destroyed JBL, highlighted by an amazing chokeslam through the roof of the champ's limo. The action resulted in JBL be carted out of the SummerSlam arena on a stretcher. This week on SmackDown!, learn about the condition of the WWE Champion after being decimated by the Deadman at SummerSlam. Also, the Cruiserweight Championship will be on the line as Spike Dudley puts the gold on the line against former friend Scotty 2 Hotty. Spike has been on a roll of late, but Scotty has made this rivalry personal. Which great cruiserweight will come out on top? Tune in to SmackDown! to find out. In addition, it has been learned that SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long has a big announcement to make this week. What can it be? All this and more this week on SmackDown! on UPN at 8/7 CT. I personally haven't watched Smckdown in months, but maybe the rest of you would care to discuss. *shrug* Long's announcment: The return of the Big Show

Ah yes, that's it I bet. The NBA playoffs. That seems to be a perfectly logical explanation to me.

raw or nitro? raw: MAY 6TH 1996: Marc Mero pinned The 1-2-3 Kid The British Bulldog pinned Fatu The Body Donnas defeated Techno Team 2000 The Undertaker pinned Owen Hart edit: Nitro: May 6, 1996: Hugh Morrus defeated Randy Savage by Disqualification...Dean Malenko defeated Jushin Liger...Sting defeated Steven Regal...World Heavyweight Champion, The Giant, pinned Jim Duggan

Nitro was one hour long until the debut of Scott Hall on May 26th. 1996. That is when it moved to two hours. I'm assuming that on May 6th, a pre-NwO WCW still stunk and was still drawing poor ratings.

The complete history of the ratings of Monday Night Raw: http://www.steveswrestling.com/info/rawratings.html (Still being updates weekly as of 08.18.04)

I have always believed in only two things regarding the raitngs: 1) Short term ratings mean nothing. Long term ratings mean everything. I don't care if Raw does a 2.0 one week, if it averages a 3.5 or above over a 6 week span, that 2.0 was a blip. 2) The ratings reflect the product. Not the fact that football was on, not the fact that the olympics are going on, not the fact that there was a finale of reality show X on. they reflect the qwuality of the product. period. If you put on an excellent product, they will come.

If he comes back, it'll be a one time deal. Although, this will cause me to slap down $4 for a rental of the game now. So I suppose their ploy is working.

Interesting. I don't think I ever noticed it much.

aw, he edited the homonym mistake before I could make fun of him. Curses. and yeah, this doesn't deserve it's own thread. I mean, try to be reasonable when deciding what to make a thread about eh? Edit: wait, where's the spoiler?

I was going to comment on this, but Loss basically took the words out of my mouth. Actually, prediction: The build up to Ornton/Cena as the main event of Wrestlemania XXII(or XXIII) lasts all of 3 weeks, with them having wrestled at least 3 times in the year beforehand.

Long has re-signed the Big Show to Smackdown

Is there a site that mentions what WWE has trademarked and what it doesn't? http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/gate.exe?f=sear...tate=10e5kt.1.1 Just type in "world Wrestling Entertainment" for your search term and make the field "owner and address"

I totally agree with you. However, you think that after they give us a heel turn that should have been built up over at LEEAST 3 Raws, they're going to hold off until Survivor Series? hahahahahahah ........ bahahahahaghaha

I'd mark out if the re-issued all the DVDs without the blurring. Actually....*marks out that this happened before the release of the Bret DVD*
-
We changed it. It's easier to root out PBPs and the like this way. Ah ok. Thank you for the clarification.

I'd be turned off by an Orton/Triple H main event, personally. I guess I'd just have to hope that the SD! title match is good.
