Cody from Step By Step -
Thats about how I felt about Roberts to the Cubs earlier this year.

A week or two ago it was mentioned that they lost Lorenzo Neal to the Ravens and he was really more valuable blocking for LT then they knew at the time.

You gotta pay extra to get ST in HD unless you already are.

Im conflicted on the Steelers beating the Pats because it helps the Ravens in the Wild Card chase. They are now solidly in possession of the 2nd wild card behind the Colts and have the tiebreaker over the Dolphins. Its basically the Ravens, Patriots and Dolphins for that last Wild Card spot anyway. the Steelers still have Dallas and Tennessee plus the Ravens so the Division is still an option but less likely I think.

Win number 8 comes even though I left Westbrook's 30+ points on the bench.

How do you know Christian is going to be on SD? Was it announced? Just a guess.

I definately call bullshit on that trade. B level pitching prospects for Peavy? Link Marshall isn't necessarily the player the Cubs give up either, just the only pitcher I saw mentioned. The Padres apparently like Olson and he's from southern california for what its worth. He'd probably end up putting up good numbers pitching in Petco but anyway..
-
Im not sure about this 3 team deal I heard about.. Cubs get Jake Peavy Orioles get Felix Pie Padres get Garrett Olson from the Orioles and Sean Marshall from the Cubs plus more probably I dont undertstand. The Os rejected Olson for Kahlil Greene earlier and they need a SS worse than they need another LF but the Padres apparently really like Olson and the Cubs dont have enough to do the trade on their own. I wish we could get someone else in the deal, maybe the Padres would add Greene too? Im surprised its a deal with the Cubs and no mention of Roberts. Olson probably is on the outside looking in at a roatation spot for the Orioles in 09 unless they dont sign someone but even then I still dont think he'd make their rotation unless there were injuries, and thats saying a lot.

I wonder what the over under is on Edge/Christian vs Matt/Jeff happening considering that if you include Matt as being on SD they'll all be on the same show..

The US Economy and Current Financial Crisis
MarvinisaLunatic replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in Current Events
I am of the new opinion that the Economy can't be as bad as everyone says. My proof? I saw about 10 people walk past a $50 bill laying in the middle of the parking lot at Sears on Black Friday at about 5:30 am. No one bothered to stop and pick it up on their way to save money by spending it and I was $50 richer for a short period of time before I spent part of it and put the rest in a Salvation Army kettle. -
I guess I cant call him Plexiglass anymore.

This reminds me of my time in line at the Target for my Nintendo. I got there like, #23 and they only had 25 to give out and I had to practically fend off people for about a half an hour to keep my spot til they handed out tickets.

My Wal Mart still had about 20 of those Magnavox players for $128 at about 10 am yesterday when I finally got there. Part of the problem being its a crappy magnavox but still, I would have thought they would have flown off the shelves.

WWE General Discussion-November 2008

Are they finally doing ECW before RAW now? -
Joe Flacco is on pace to have the 2nd best season for a QB statistically in the history of the Ravens franchise. No way he passes Testeverde's 1996 season of 4177 yards and 33 TDs (though he did throw 19 ints and led to a whopping 4-12 record). McNair's 06 (3050 yards 16td/12int) and Grbac's 2001 (3033 15/18 in 14 games) are pretty much within Flacco's reach right now with 5 games to go at 1996 and 10/9. The Ravens have only had 3 QB's play all 16 games (Testeverde 96, Boller 04 and McNair 06).
-
Im disapointed no one's mentioned they would take Joe Flacco over Matt Ryan. Flacco will be better than Ryan..eventually. Flacco just needs a stud WR to throw to instead of Derrick Mason all day.

The US Economy and Current Financial Crisis
MarvinisaLunatic replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in Current Events
Remember when he said he'd get all those jobs back for Detroit? I suppose this would have been his plan. Glad to see he's still a complete hypocrite outside of election seasons. Restructuring through bankruptcy won't happen, because they won't restructure. If they go bankrupt, they'll likely liquidate due to the credit market right now. And hell, let's say that they're lucky enough to actually restructure. They've been polling people, and 80% of the general public will NOT buy from a bankrupt auto maker. Yeah, that sounds like they'll really have a chance to succeed. Christ... The fact of the matter is, they're already in the process of restructuring: Ford is already on the way (As Kotzenjunge already pointed out in the other thread), GM is looking to expand into China (A place where the Japanese can't get into because of hostile Chinese tariffs and restrictions), and... well, do what you will with Chrysler. Odds are that it'll likely be part of GM soon enough. I don't mind some government oversight: This idea that "THE GOVERNMENT SHOULDN'T BE ANYWHERE!" helped get us into this mess. Reasonable government oversight will help restore confidence in the system after it ran wild. Unless we want to go the "ECONOMIC APOCALYPSE NOW!" because some conservatives suddenly want to return to "balanced budgets" after 8 years of fucking things up. No matter what the Big 3 do restructuring wise, they'll always have the noose tied around their neck already by way of the Unions and the pensions of the Retired workers. Im not going to say they should cut off the retired workers pensions, but they need to do something about Union Workers making almost double what a non union worker for Toyota at a plant in the United States makes. http://money.cnn.com/2007/09/26/news/compa...sion=2007092604 Please, please research your facts before you post your false words and outdated charts. The UAW will soom assume retiree health care costs per the 2007 strike resolution. Which they'll somehow pass off to the government in a bailout deal. -
Hogan wishes he could grow a real beard like that.

Im debating on whether to be worried about the Cincy game given its a division game on the road. Its a game they should win and for all intents and purposes they need to win since Im losing hope on the Ravens winning the Wild Card with the way the Colts and Patriots have turned it on as of late. A loss in the division might kill any playoff hopes they have.
