-
Booker/Lashley after the title match!
-
Richmond isn't St. Louis I think people are hating Foley.

Nothing for Sherri Martel, at the beginning anyway.

well..I want the PS3 with a 1080P tv so..it would be a great bargain for me. unfortunately they dont have any no interest deals running and I dont really have $2,000 of expendable cash sitting around right now. Other related news: Blockbuster's going to be renting blu ray exclusively at their actual stores, though they will continue to rent HD-DVD online. Good news for Blu Ray!

which would be funny considering Bischoff was stalking Linda and now Linda is a "widow".. I just realized...are they going to do a fake funeral (with a casket and all) for Vince?

The origins of the Vince angle
MarvinisaLunatic replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
And here I am thinking it was thrown together within 24 hours after Vince was pissed off at the end of the Sopranos... The thing with Carlito/Teddy Long would have been awesome though and I bet it would have been better than this crap with Vince. Oh, and I think I have it figured out. The investigators find early evidence that points to Cena being the one that was behind the bombing (OMG SHOCK). Cena is "arrested" and taken off TV for a few weeks. Then rumors start circulating that it was a set up...by none other than..Vince himself who turns up not really dead afterall..which leads to the mega match of Cena vs McMahon at Summerslam (not for a title though since Cena would have been stripped of the title) with the "loser leaves" stipulation. -
Im not talking a Marlins-esque fire sale here, just getting rid of the big fat contracts of players that aren't playing remotely close to the contracts they're getting. Tejada doesn't need to be traded unless he gets back on his "I wanna be traded" kick.

ESPN was asking why he'd take the Os job now over waiting around the potential Yankees job to open up if Torre were to leave, but I have to ask how endangered Torre's job is now after the run they've put together. Quite honestly, I see Trembley hanging around for the rest of the season, them looking for a new manager in the offseason and not finding one thus hampering any potential free agents that would be stupid enough to consider Baltimore in the first place and then removing the interim tag on Trembley and just going with it for whatever happens next year. Im also hoping this means they manage to find takers for Mora, Millar, Gibbons, Patterson and most of the bullpen @ the trade deadline.. haha..yeah..the 4 of them aren't worth a bag of balls and a case of batting gloves probably and there isnt a team desperate enough for bullpen help to take any of the bullpen guys.

Anyone see that Best Buy deal of a 1080P Sony LCD, PS3 a BR movie (Underworld/Casino Royale) and a PS3 game (MLB/Motorstorm) for $2069? The TV itself is $1999 regular priced. Getting a PS3, game and movie for $70 would be a steal.

I think that was my 2nd straight week without a win in the pitching category..wha? I managed to pull out a good waiver claim in Corey Hart and maybe Adam Eaton will get me a win..

Walks + Hits / Innings Pitched

I saw that the Os have gotten former Cubs president Andy MacPhail to be their Chief Operating Officer..yay..he should be used to losing! I read on the Baltimore Sun Os fired Sam Perlozzo also..and as an interim manager they're going to Dave Trembley the bullpen coach..haha.. Supposedly they are looking into Davey Johnson (the last manager to guide the Os to a winning season, and I don't believe he'd be interested) and Joe Girardi who left the Marlins last year. No one knows anything about Leo Mazzone's status with the club given that he only came to Baltimore to be with his good friend Perlozzo. Trembley would become the Os 6th manager since 1997 and whoever is hired would be #7, would tie the Blue Jays for most in the managers over that span. I cant seriously imagine anyone that is available that would be an improvement would want a piece of the Baltimore managerial position given the state of disarray that the organization is in right now.

Mr. McMahon "dead" - Now for the "whodunit" angle.
MarvinisaLunatic replied to Downhome's topic in The WWE Folder
All I could think about that is that he's from the same town as Stan Hansen and imagining the guy looked like Hansen. -
If Shane/Steph/Linda or even Vince were to die while they're still running the Vince is dead thing, they'd almost have to admit its a storyline (OMG Shocker). Itd be something if one of them actually did die and they announced it on TV and it got the response from the crowd as Vince's did on SD, cause I think the fans would be "what do you think I am, stupid? They aren't really dead either." Im sure if any current wrestlers died, or someone like Hogan that it would probably cause them to admit the storyline of Vince as well.

WWE General Discussion for June 2007
MarvinisaLunatic replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
And seeing as how they tend to hire Hollywood rejects to write for them, its only a matter of time before we find out that the man who really died in the limo was Vincenzo, Vince McMahon's evil twin that had kept the real Vince locked away until just recently and with his death, we will be graced with Vince coming back to the booth as the goofy commentator we all knew and loved growing up wondering just how in the world did he get up from that and exclaiming on how he "thought he had him"... BAAAAAACCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK BBBBOOOOOODDDDDDDDYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY DDDDRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One! Two! HEGOTHIMNOHEDIDNTCOMEONREF!! I always loved how Vince's announcer voice sounded like he was shouting at the top of his lungs, yet really he wasn't louder than anyone else. My last minute sign idea for Raw, realized two late. Three signs, saying "1", "2", and "He got him! No he didn't." For each pinfall attempt a person would raise a sign at one, two and two and a half. Someone needs to steal this idea. What was it called before? Do or Die Match. the aired the Do or Die promo on ECW though, and it was funny hearing Vince say "do...or DIIIIIIIIIIE" -

I like how the WWF is going on with it as if its real despite everyone else going out of their way to make sure everyone knows it wasn't. And Im sure the people who rigged up the explosion are glad to know that a fake expert concluded that a professional set it up. Wonder how they would have felt if the fake expert concluded that someone who had no idea what they were doing set it up? I Wonder if Linda McMahon will get remaried to someone? Eric Bischoff maybe..haha.. -
Guthrie goes 7 innings, gives up 4 hits and 1 earned run...I think thats his 8th straight quality start. The Os scored exactly 1 run for him so he gets his 6th no decision in that span. Bradford comes in and gives up a run in the 8th. ugh...they're gonna be swept by the damn nationals!

Brlliant! Didn't notice that at first... But he appears uninjured so where are they going with this? No, it's not brilliant - that's not Vince. That's not Vince, but it would be funny if Vince is caught on camera backstage on Raw or Smackdown. I cant remember what the production crew voice said that one time when they goofed up and showed a backstage camera too early but that would certainly be it. "CAMERA SIX! YOUR WORST CASE SCENARIO!" - from RAW man, Im surprised I couldnt remember that til just now.. -

The better way for this to have happened was for Vince to get in the Limo and drive off and never be seen from again. Missing Vince > Dead Vince Imagine, WWE could plaster signs up "HAVE YOU SEEN THIS BILLIONAIRE? IF SO CALL 1-888-FINDVKM" WWF could hire a few guys to dress up as Vince and wander around the country..and provide "photo" ops of Vince for RAW.. Then they rip off the Foley lost in Cleveland angle with Vince living as a bum somewhere.. -
do or die is in bad taste I suppose...
