With the off day for the O's, lots of time to ponder their 8-7 start..I think the biggest think is that the bullpen has been as good as anyone would have hoped so far..only gave up 1 run in the D-Rays series which allowed them to win 2 games come from behind style. The starting pitching has been hit or miss so far..but as long as the bullpen pulls its weight like it has so far..it'll just be up to the offense to score some runs. The O's bullpen ERA is 2.87, 5th best in the Majors..and I saw over to the hangout someone figured out if you take Kirt Birkins disaster of an inning that got him a first class ticket out of Baltimore and the last two innings of the Os blown game up in NY where Baez and Ray gave up 7 runs, the ERA drops to 1.07.

Im glad I didnt record the game last night.. Os get down early 7-1, the 3 error play..then they come back to win with help from of all people freaking Fred Bynum hitting a HR...and I missed the Millar Double/HR/Foul Ball strike out too. 4 game winning streak! Guess what, it was brought to my attention that last year the Os only had 1 4 game winning streak..so..yay!

Bynums gonna start in CF for Patterson tonight, but they brought up Adam Stern and Jon Knott so he may not start the remainder of the games vs TB. All I ever hear about it Bynum's speed but the guy couldnt hit a ball in t-ball league, so what the hell does it matter if he has speed? I wont even get into how much of an unimprovement Adam Stern is over Bynum but he wont be up that long more than likely, since Payton is about a week or so from coming back, Patterson is only on bereavement leave for 3 days and Hernandez is off the DL sometime early this week.

It was 1 dead 2 hours ago with the gunman on the loose..now its 21 with the gunman dead and they didn't go far for the 2nd round of shootings..wowzers...doesn't seem like the police were looking to hard for 2 hours.. I dont think they should be busting out the C word yet..how the hell do we know if the shooter was a student at Va Tech? And I think theres a difference between a high school and a college.
