DVD FAQ (Theres more info on that page..but it looks to be out of date by about 3 years) I Also dont think the price in 2000 had dropped below $100, I think it was closer to $200 cause the PS2 at $299 was seen as a good deal because it had a DVD player. Consider that Blu-Ray players are launching at the same price as the first DVD players. I doubt you'll see BR players for under $300 in 3 years though because I dont see people flocking to either format as fast as they did to DVD which drove the manufacturing of players which drove the price down.

I think the days of $300 consoles are numbered given the complexities of the hardware needed to push the graphics and the fact that basically what a console is now is a computer (hard drive, complex optical drive, internet, usb ports..). Nintendo is the last because they are behind given no hard drive or increased graphical ability.

I watched the Discovery HD Special on them building the stadium, and its supposed to look like a coiled rattlesnake, but its just..ugh. The inside isn't anything special other than its got real grass cause the field is retractable. I eagerly await the first time the field malfunctions and starts to move while they're playing a game like when the automatic sprinklers go off in the middle of a baseball game.

The New Talent Inititive is a good way to go about adding a lot of people at one time without it really looking bad but out of: James/Stevens, Burke and Turk-eye and MVP I dont see any of them hanging around long.

BOO Ravens lost 17-16 on a last second FG after being up 16-7 in the 4th when it turned into fumblepalooza by the 3rd stringers on both teams.

I just like the fact that theres some 3rd party support for the W!! even if most of the 3rd party games will be lame ports of games that wont utilize the controller to its full potential if at all. Given time though that will change. ExciteTruck is basically Excitebike-bikes+trucks (duh). It sorta sounds interesting but not anything amazing I dont think.

Get used to McNair to Heap.. I could see Heap catching a 100 passes this year...really its only him and Derrick Mason. McNair's familiarity with Mason should help out too though.. NY analysts pointing out McNairs favorite receiver in TN was TE Frank Wycheck early in his career. TD McNair! Ran it in barely.
