Vince's nose will be in it the first time he sees a potential star being made that could be "better used" on RAW or gasp..Smackdown if its still on.. Especially given the current injury/attitude/roids thing going on.. Thats why this ECW will never become as amazing as Heyman or anyone else wants it to be. Its a glorified OVW on TV with the ECW name and select personalities. I doubt Vince will care about Sandman or Sabu or Tommy Dreamer, or even Angle/Big Show.. but they won't be able to establish any new stars without Vince wanting them on RAW/Smackdown. Itd be cool if there was some way Heyman could just buy ECW from Vince after it gets established enough.. but theres no chance of that. And for the record, Im all for this if it really ends up like Heyman's vision, but theres no chance of that either.

The Oat Cuisine episode of Good Eats is what you need to watch, but I dont know when its on so you can just read that transcript and skip to scene 13 for the part about cooking oatmeal in a slow cooker. Alton even put his slow cooker next to his bed on low and let it go all night so that when he woke up, hed wake up to 5 lbs of oatmeal ready for him in bed. The transcript even has what to look for if you want to buy a slow cooker courtesy of W and Alton Gump...er.. Alton Brown = the King Geek of Food and one of my heroes. Personally, one of my iritations with slow cookers is that they have a high setting..do not use it on high. Theres a really good granola recipe on that episode too...but thats not slow cooker talk is it?

Rodrigo Lopez is on track for win #4 in a row with Javy Lopez behind the plate. Im surprised I haven't heard more about Javy catching the other pitchers more often to see if he helps them out as well. Let RAMON! Last night with the bases loaded: hit batter, walk and a wild pitch score 3 runs with the bases loaded no hits.. Tonight: Patterson just drew a walk with the bases loaded to score a run. Its fun seeing a team not be able to do anything at the plate with the bases loaded and still score runs. LOL..now Tiffee is charged with an error and Conine knocks a run in without a hit again. I like a good 1-0 baseball game though. The Astros/Cubs game Wednesday was a good example of that. Id much rather see a good pitching matchup than a 14-13 slugfest, especially since the slugfests usualy drag on longer than the 1-0 games. But thats baseball..

What I dont understand is how no one gives a fuck about Soccer in the US despite what seems like millions of kids playing the damn sport enough to give us the term "Soccer mom".

Lets see how many things I can address A) Doormat. Well, I guess I am and while I dont like it, I've accepted it since Im the only one without a 2nd job and its easier for me to work on my day off with no plans than it is for the others who would have to try and get off from their other job or whatever. I'll take the overtime in heartbeat however so I dont care. B) Ive said before..Im to the point where it bothers me more that I haven't even had one relationship than it does that Im still a virgin. Surprisingly enough, all the porn in the world isn't helping that..shocking! I wouldn't say Im putting money in front of everything. Its just that Id rather be working and making money than doing nothing, which is what I do 90% of the time Im off. C) At the start of this, I was thinking that my ugliness (and lets face it..scale of 1-10 Im a proven 1.5 or 2 via the one rate my picture site I put one of my pics up on), but I realize that whats hurting me more is my overall crappy attitude towards everything/negativity. D) I have close to $5000 in the bank. Thats money Im saving for a new car and just in case money..Im not broke. I've put off the massive spending I was going through when I first got my job (HDTV/HDTivo etc) and thats helping.

My boss would be the one to have to come in and cover for me since the only other person that is off this weekend is working their 2nd job. I suppose most of you wouldn't have that problem, it would just be someone else to have to cover for you, not your boss. I dont particularly want to piss him off and that would probably do it, especially since hes in the middle of moving to a new house. It wouldnt be enough to get me fired over as far as I know..but Id rather not push the issue. Oddly enough, Im like the only one in the dietary department that doesn't work a 2nd job which is why 99% of the time Im the one that gets called in to cover for everyone else..that and also because they know I will because I like getting overtime.

I never mentioned anything about where I work other than "I have to work this weekend, but Im off the following weekend, how about then.". And KOAB is right..and it sucks because as much as I like my job and everything, the pay sucks ass. But I think Id rather continue to work where I am and make less than stellar money as opposed to working somewhere else where Id hate my job. Thats how I was when I was working up in Annapolis at the Annapolis Yacht Club as a prep cook. That place was a hell hole and the Sous Chef was a complete asshole because the Executive Chef had a heart attack and was out for 4 months and it was his first shot at pretty much running the place on his own and he had no business doing it (an aside, he was from the Eastern Shore and went to the same Culinary School as I did, but ugh..and I just found out that he left shortly after I left..I wonder why..hmm). Combine that with living in an even crappier situation than I have now and having to put up with Downtown Annapolis traffic on a daily basis to and from work (since I worked the 8-5 shift 90% of the time)..I hated that place and even though I was making almost $4 more an hour there than I am now, you couldnt get me to go back there for $10 more an hour. And yes, this is like the 3rd time I've put work in front of a date or whatever since I've started this thread, but if you look at how those past situations worked out..Im glad I did what I did.

Im a NASCAR fan, but Im not obsessed like most are. I go to the occasional race only because Dover and Richmond are within a couple hours. I watch the races every week, but Im not a huge gear head and don't even pretend to know half of what they talk about, although I've learned a good deal in the 13 years I've been watching. I think if you go Auto Racing in general, it might be closer to Soccer considering you have F-1 and Indy Cars and they have a lot more international appeal, but I cant get into those versions of racing.
