Roode has always been an ally of Christian(remember him and AJ trying to impress Christian) so it makes perfect sense that he interfered after AJ and Tomko were taken out. He's also been stuck in the mid-card forever so it's nice to see him have a match with one of the big guys. I like that Genesis has two main-eventers vs mid-carders matches, Joe vs Roode and Christian vs Kaz/Storm.
Wouldn't it make more sense for WWE to simply promote the return of Jericho on No Mercy? Yes, the 222 thing has generated plenty of talk on internet forums but I doubt many of us are avid PPV buyers. After a few hours of the airing of the video everybody already figured it out that it was Jericho so why not simply hype the shit out of his return so that even casual fans know that it is Jericho and buy the PPV.
He also included the X-Division and Tag-team titles.
WWF/E champ (4: 2000-2001, 2001, 2002-2003, 2003)
World champ (1: 2006)
WCW champ (1: 2001)
TNA champ: (1: 2007)
X-Division champ: 1
Tag-team champ: 3?
You guys are acting like they are moving to some new channel or something and a lot of new viewers will tune in. I am sure they will get the same 1-1.2 they get every week. Why showcase the X-Division or Kurt Angle? Those people already know what X-Division is and watch Angle every week.
Sorry. I thought pro-wrestling was about working the crowd into believing that you are beating your opponent while being as light as possible with him. Not low kicking them limp and getting your eye socket broken and then having a match with the same guy after two weeks and getting hit repeatedly in said eye socket. When I want to see two dudes beating the shit out of each other I watch MMA.
The way they hit each other with stiff strikes and drop each other on their head with reckless abandon(SPIKED JAY DRILLER!!! ROH ROH ROH) you would think they are legitimately trying to kill each other.
They need to use the "Fire Russo" chant when something really shitty is going on. Using it whenever there is a sports entertainment angle is going on will just water the chant. Can you imagine an Undertaker angle in the Impact zone?
