Add this to the never ending theories about Lost, but I have one for this. I think Jacob has visited everyone who has ever come to the island (Well, maybe not everyone, but the significant ones and then they probably brought some insignificant people along with them). When the man in black asks Jacob who were the people in the ship they saw off the coast and how they found the island, he answered himself saying it was Jacob who brought them here. Then he talks about how they'll do the same as everyone, come, fight, corrupt, destroy. Jacob declares this as progress and that it only "ends" once. What I think is happening here is that Jacob has brought all these people to the island, the black rock, the Dharma Initiative, Desmond, other possibly castaways and most importantly the Oceanic flight 815 survivors. He brings them to the island by visiting them at very significant points of their lives, and influencing there fate to come to the island. The only difference with the Oceanic 815 guys is that everyone before them that he has brought to the island was progress, but these castaways are going the lead the "end" that he talks about. I am also thinking that Not!Locke is like Ghost Christian. The real Locke and Christian are dead, but Not!Locke and Ghost Christian are manifestations of the island. However, Ghost Christian speaks on behalf of Jacob and I think Not!Locke speaks or acts on behalf of the evil part of the island. Whoever the man in black was, he got to possess Locke, while Jacob got Christian.

Kinda random question here, but who was named Most Improved Player this year? I don't remember it being announced, did they can the award or something?
-
^Ummm... explaination?

Speaking of bizarre powers from the castaways... what happened to Desmond's power to see the future? He's obviously not done it for a while now, but did they ever show how those powers ended?

I think there was something shady about that dude who said some condolences to Jack and also coincidentally sat near Hurley. I'm sure he'll be sent by Whidmore or something to get on the plane with these guys and find the island.

I HATE WAITING A WEEK FOR A NEW EPISODE OF LOST. Damnit, I don't know how I'm gonna occupy myself in the next 7 days in anticipation! [/loserness]

Give Shaq the award for having the best All Star intros ever.

Plus in the earlier season, there were some filler episodes that were horrible. It's fun now also finally getting some answers to questions.

If we're talking about favourite moments, the Penny & Desmond phone call on the freighter takes the cake for me. I don't really care for love stories in TV shows too much, but that moment turned me into a total bitch.
-
So all along, I thought Rousseau's crew suffered from the same sickness that the freighter's crew suffered as a result of not going to the island on the proper course. Going into smokey's lair can make them go crazy too I guess.

This went from an homage to handicap people to a Diddy caption contest. Awesome.

I think it's reasonable to assume he was. They knew he was special so they kidnapped him, but Ms Klugh did say he failed a few tests, so I guess he didn't make it.

Yes. This bit just kills me everytime I watch it: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=ce4fc1cQI2Q

When Elle showed up, I actually thought she was Rousseau and that was her team before they went crazy.

I'm kind of surprised to see Danny Granger there. I think he totally deserves it, but was expecting him to be overlooked for some reason.

About Richard choosing Locke to be the leader... I don't think he ever chose Locke to be the leader of the Others nor did he choose Ben. Jacob is the one who does that isn't he? Richard only accepts who Jacob chooses to be. Jacob chose Locke last season to succeed Ben. The current old man Locke, who is now travelling around in time, visits Richard in yesterday's episode telling him he is their leader. This is true since Locke has been chosen by Jacob to be the leader. However, Richard doesn't know that this happens 50 years down the road, so when he goes to test Locke as a child, Locke fails the test. This isn't because Richard did or didn't choose him yet, but because Jacob has not yet chosen Locke yet.

My guess is that they just jumped back 30 years and those guys were Dharma guys. Faraday probably somehow took the opportunity to steal a mineworker's clothes and blend in with them, as shown in the first flashback.

Apparently his real name is Pierre Chang: http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Pierre_Chang Dunno how/when that was revealed though. He was also named Dr. Mark Wickmund once, another alias. Edit: Did some research, it was revealed here in a clip at Comic Con: http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=HLJ7bPpI8VM&...feature=related

Not hot. And oh yeah... "A painting may be beautiful but I don’t want to bang a painting!” = line of the night.

I thought the premiere was an alright episode. I didn't like how it was focused so off island. It started off awesome with Halliwax and seeing Faraday in the scene. I'm so much more interested in on-island issues, like stuff about the Others, the Dharma Initiative or the other surprises on the island. The questions they asked from the beginning of the series, like what is the island, who are the Dharma Initiative, who are the others, interest me a lot more than the questions they've brought up lately, like how the Oceanic 6 are gonna get back on the island, or even if they do get back. I guess it's kind of unfair though that I complain about this, cuz I'm sure they're not going to answer the big questions till the end of the show. But I'd still like for them to focus on the on-island stuff more than off-island. Hopefully, there will be more of that since the writers I believe said this season will be about answering questions about the Dharma Initiative? Another thing that I didn't like was how Locke didn't actually get command of the Others at all! For 4 seasons, we knew something about Locke was unique to this island and he was special. We got some foreshadowing that maybe he should be the leader and the chosen one instead of Ben. This all seemed to come into fruition in last season's finale as Ben passed the torche onto Locke. But now, right when I think, "Sick, we're gonna see what I've wanted to see all along, Locke take leadership of Richard and co. and is the man in charge of the island now!", we get this Locke is stuck in time and needs to die to get the Oceanic 6 back onto the island and restore things to normal? Damn that was a let down. So this season doesnt seem like it will have any of Locke actually being the leader of the Others like last season's finale blatantly teased. Pretty dissappointed at that. Sidebar: so I guess it was the compass that Locke was supposed to choose in cabin fever... I liked how they explained that from last season. The rest of the show was pretty solid. Are Sayid, Jack and Ben gonna go break Hurley out of jail? That'll be a nice trifecta to see go about and kick some ass. I wonder who all the people Ben knows are? If that old lady is Faraday's mom and Desmond is going to meet her, then he better not bring Penny with him. And the new Sun is friggin awesome.

The TWolves head coach was fired and replaced with Kevin McHale. I think his name was Randy Wittman?

Does a USB drive need to be formatted before it can transfer files?
The Electrifyer replied to brokentusk16's topic in Technology
Nah, I don't think so. The same thing happens to my USB drive as well. Do you get an option that says continue without formatting? Just select that. -
Oh, I see. Never knew that.
