Paying $13 million for Matsui to sit on the bench is a tremendous waste of resources and a disservice to a player of his caliber. Ergo, they could trade him for some prospects with upside and shed his salary in the process. That is technically a salary dump, but it's also turning a underutilized piece into something that can contribute later on. It's win-win for everybody. Well, I got that from the article, but what exactly do they have on Guillen and Gibbons that makes them open for suspension? It would have been nice if they provided more info or at least outlined what the standards were for suspension. It seems aribitrary on the surface.

Count me in the group of not understanding how an organic fruit or vegetable could taste worse than it's pesticide induced counterpart.
