  1. Of course, Larry Brown is a HOF coach. But I don't think he can relate to the new generation of players anymore unless they respect him right away. He had a team full of players who were already one of the best teams in the East(And then getting Rasheed at trade deadline), but how can we forget the A.I./Brown saga. I respect Brown, but he is just too old for it now. He should just retire, I think it's best for him, mainly because of his health.
  2. I'm not arguing the fact that Carlisle is a better coach then Thomas. What I'm saying is Thomas is great at relating to players, and is part of the reason why Jermaine O'Neal is a success(Jermaine has admit this also). So maybe he will be able to work with the team. Which is unlikely, but the main reason why the Knicks lost was because they didn't listen to Larry Brown. Isiah is better at relating to players then Brown, and the team would listen to him more then they would Isiah.
  3. Alright yesterday, me and my buddys all smoked a phat joint, and we had a discussion on UFC. And then the topic was brought up who would win between Rich Franklin Vs. Chuck Liddell. Which gave me the idea to start this thread.. So what are the big money fights for the UFC(St. Pierre Vs. Hughes 2 aside, because we all know it will happen in September). Here are some I bought up... Rich Franklin Vs. Chuck Liddell. This is the fight for me. Everyone know Franklin is a huge middleweight, and he has fought at LHW before. IMO it's hard to determine a winner, because both fighters are on the top of their game. Franklin I think is a more rounded fighter, while Liddell has problay the better stand up. This fight would generate tons of buys for the UFC and get alot of money. I know Dana White is itching to make this happen. Matt Hughes Vs. BJ Penn 2. The rematch. Everyone still has the memories of one of the greatest upsets in UFC history when BJ Penn choked out Matt Hughes to become the Welterweight Champion. I still think BJ Penn stands a chance while others think Matt Hughes would win easily. This fight is bound to happen, either Hughes wins or loses the St. Pierre fight. Brandon Vera Vs. Champions at LHW and HW. This kid is the future of the UFC. If he continues on his winning streak, he is primed for a title shot. He's got natural charisma and is starting to get a fanbase around him. He will be a top draw for the UFC in years to come. Tito Ortiz Vs. Chuck Liddell 2. If everything goes right, and Tito takes Shamrock to school. Tito is problay next in line to get a title chance against the winner of Babalu Vs. Liddell. Now I think Babalu has a GREAT chance to upset Liddell, but Liddell Vs. Ortiz 2 would generate much more of a crowd then Ortiz Vs. Babalu would. This has a great story to it, and Tito Ortiz is already a big draw. TUF Winners Vs. Title Holder Bound to happen, and will likely draw huge, because TUF is the reason I believe why UFC is getting new fans. Frank Mir Vs. Anderi Arlovski Hasen't happend yet, would be an interesting happen, barring in mind Frank Mir isn't shot and can make a comeback. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for his last fight, but should he lose on UFC 61, he's done.
  4. This is exactly the same way I feel about the Packers, except people are writing them off much worse. With the cupcake schedule, an improved defense, and Favre still around, I'm sticking to them finishing at least at .500, just like Philly. I have big time troubles seeing the Packers finish .500, this year. Farve is getting to old and the reciever core is not good enough for him, maybe if this was 30 year old Brett Farve this team would be a playoff team, but Brett Farve can't make his WR's better then they are anymore. He needs the help, bad mouthing his best WR on the team didn't help either. I think the Vikings, Bears, and Lions made the improvements on their teams to be better then the Packers.
  5. Jacksonville I think will take the divison this year. They drafted good weapons for Leftwich, also Reggie Williams and Matt Jones are coming along fine. Jimmy Smith was a HOF player, but I think it's good for the Jaguars because now they can develop their team more. I think Drew will be a good NFL RB, and that he got slept on big time in the Draft.
  6. One thing I'll say is Isiah can relate to players better then Brown can. Isiah had a big part in Jermaine O'Neal turning into a 20-10 player, even Jermaine will tell you that. Isiah got a raw-deal when Larry Bird came to helm. But he surely did build a train wreck in NY. But atleast he tried. He brought in talented players, which is more then Scott Layden ever did.
  7. Considering they fill all their big needs(Minus the big name WR), I think the Eagles will be back in their winning ways. McNabb is healthy(He played all of his games last season injured) and now they don't have to put up with the headache Terrell Owens, and continue to develop Reggie Brown. Eagles had an amazing draft. Dallas I think will flop big time. Just think, Terrell Owens couldn't work with Donovan McNabb who is a great QB and makes very rare mistakes, how is he going to work with Drew Bledsoe who, while has a stronger arm then McNabb doesn't have the desicion making and mobility of McNabb. How is Terrell going to react when Bledsoe over throws him on 3rd downs? I think this is a disaster in the making. Bill Parcells has a bigger temper then Andy Reid, and he will not put up with Terrell's bullshit. I think the Dolphins will take the AFC East this year! This is the year! With Daunte Culpepper at helm, Ronnie Brown progressing into a pro bowl type RB, and Chris Chambers finally having a good QB, the Dolphins finally have a good offense to go along with their good defense. All this time they were missing a good QB, and now if Culpepper comes back healthy, they have a Pro Bowl QB who can possibly take them to the Superbowl, if he's 100%. Nick Saban is a great young coach, and I think he will turn this team into success. Saints got underrated big time. Even with Drew Brees shoulder surgey, he has shown on the Chargers, he is a good desicion maker who makes rare mistakes. I really think the Saints will be a sleeper. They got a ton of talent on offense for Sean Payton to work with.
  8. So is anyone giving Rashad Evans a chance against Bonnar? One thing that will help out Evans, is that he trains with Keith Jardine. Maybe Jardine will help him out with his leg kicks.
  9. That was the funniest thing I heard in awhile.
  10. Well I think Booker is problay going to go over. Either way he's problay facing Rey at GAB, and Batista is facing Mark Henry. Which is the smart thing to do.
  11. What, you've never wondered why he's called "Ace"? OK, I"m gonna have to ask for the 411 on that one... Rich Franklin has a very hot girlfriend, so that kills all the gay rumors. And Hioki beat Hominick after Hominick beat Edwards.
  12. Felonies! is played by Pauly Shore or Carrot Top.
  13. I wonder how Rich Franklin feels comfortable training with him... Seriously though I think Hominick Vs. Gurgel would be a good fight, and I hope it makes the air. From what I heard Gurgel is actually a good LW fighter. Should make for an interesting fight.
  14. Why give them a new name? Most WWE fans will know them as Team Angle, so just give them that name.
  15. Minnesota's going to want both RJ and Kristic, not VC. That's the point. Carter/KG/Kidd is good enough to win the division, but I don't think Kidd will have enough to make a deep push in the East especially if Miami's well rested and ready to defend that title. My guess is you haven't heard the recent rumors of Minnesota willing to take Carter + fillers.
  16. Who would you rather have on your team, Kevin Garnett or Vince Carter/Jefferson? No way Jersey trades both of them, and no way would Minnesota be stupid enough to ask for both of them. Like I said they wouldn't be able to trade off Both of them for KG because cap's salary don't match up. I can see Minnesota looking to get Kristic in return if they want to trade Jefferson but not Carter. Losing Carter and getting KG in return would be fine. Having Jefferson as your leading scorer would be fine. He was their best scorer during the K-Mart/Jefferson/Kidd trio. Still, a team with KG/Kristic/Jefferson/Kidd would be a force to reckon with in the East. Honestly though I think it's time to get rid of Lawerence Frank. He's a good young coach and has a bright future, but I can't see the Nets taking the East with him as coach.
  17. Shipping off Carter or Jefferson wouldn't be a bad idea if they can get KG in return. I would do that in a heart beat. Aslong as they keep Kristic, they would be a good team. They wouldn't be able to ship off both for KG because not only is it a dumbass trade, but the contracts don't match up.
  18. If the Nets make a trade for KG, I think they will be the favorites for the East. Espically if they keep Kristic. Zo was a huge part defensively for the Heat, and he was a huge part of their team.
  19. Who signalled the TO in the first place? Yep, it was AVERY JOHNSON. If he doesn't get Howard's attention, Dallas doesn't call that timeout. Avery shitted the bed when it mattered. Everything he did (or I should say, did NOT do) from 6:34 left in Game 3 until tonight negated everything he did until 6:34 left in Game 3. I ain't saying Avery didn't make mistakes, but at the same time you can't put all the blame on him. Mavericks failed as a team. Dirk I think should take most of the blame. I like him, infact I call him the Euro-Larry Bird, but he missed a major free throw in Game 3 that problay cost them the series. For a man who doesn't misses Free Throws, he should hang his head in shame.
  20. Dirk has choke big time this whole series. Stop putting all the blame on Avery. I'll admit at times he made mistakes, but everyone here is trying to put all the blame on him. I think the refs robbed Dallas IMO.
  21. Especially after all that adversity he went through screwing over two basketball teams, and whining like a bitch for a year before he got his way! Zo and Riley do not deserve rings. At all. But I'll try not to keep harping on that, since it will get annoying, I'm sure. I'm happy Shaq won though, it's got to be nice to rub in Kobe's face Well Zo did earn his ring, without him I doubt the Heat make the finals. I feel real sorry for Stan Van Gundy though. LMAO at you guys blaming this on Avery Johnson. He took them to the finals in his 1st full season, name one coach who has done that? You guys nitpick about everything. Try Josh Howard calling a dumbass timeout in Game 5.
  22. How many weeks is that of Lashley Vs Booker?
  23. Shame that people will only remember Rampage for the Chuck fight. I don't think it's that his heart is lacking, I think he just lacks that killer instinct he use to have, because he doesn't have that "gangsta" in him no more, and he's became more of a religious person. But who knows, I think that the Lindland fight will determine how much Rampage has left in his tank.
  24. It's just trash talk, no need to take it serious. If your not all that confident in Arlovski winning, than whatever. I think Sylvia is going to put an end to this Arlovski myth on July 8th. Sylvia is the only legit fighter Arlovski has ever beaten. And if St. Pierre Vs. Hughes rematch is in MTL, and you and I both attend, if I was you, I'd watch out... I'd shit talk you behind your back then point to Rudo and say that he did it. Rudo being about 5 inches taller then me and having 70+ pounds. I'm not scared of no man! I fight dirty if I have to. But everything aside, I'm not a very big person, I weigh only 154lbs. But I'm very fast, and I am taking Muay Thai classes. But I would be with my cousin who plays hockey in the QMJHL... so maybe we can have a tag team match
