*groans* I see where this is heading. Fuck this!

I heard about Heyman's shoot interview shortly after the Invasion angle ended, but I've always wondered what was said and what happened?

That would have been pretty cool considering that was the first match that got me hooked back in the WWF. At the time, I had just got back into wrestling in May and I was a WCW guy. Nitro was not on on Monday (and would have been on Tuesday), so I was flipping through the channels and there's HBK in the ring talking in a promo. I forget what he said, but he was talking (more than likely about being referee at SummerSlam). Later Bret came down and got into a scuffle with Vince, and then later Vince got up from his announce position and went to the back as HBK had been jumped. And then that was the main event. I remember Bret getting the flag and winning the match. After that, I began to watch more and more of RAW.

I worked from 7-4 today. Happy Thanksgiving indeed.

As a Sting fan, that's about the last thing I would want to see, seeing as I'm also not too fond of Taker, and I'd rather not see one of my all-time favorite wrestlers from my boyhood become just another job boy to Taker at Mania. BTW, has anyone mentioned the Sting / Flair vs. Funk / Muta "electried cage" match from 1989? I forget what show that was on, but that was the year, during the middle of the Flair / Funk and Sting / Muta feuds. I'd love to see that on DVD. You know, I swear, Vince would make a ton of money just putting out old WCW PPVs on DVD. Yes, there were some really bad ones, but some of them, especially from 1989 and the early 90s were great, and a lot of the stuff from the early NWO period would probably sell exceptionally well. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Honestly, if that match ever happened, I think the crowd would be in Sting's favor. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But you know damn well who would win the damn match anyway.

Well, to be fair, they got in his "sexy" arms too.

In late 2002, 2003, and early 2004, Smackdown! was amazing, and then after the draft, everything went to hell for some reason or another. One reason (and probably the biggest) was because Brock Lesnar had left the WWE. Another was Kurt Angle was injured and considering retirement. Another was Paul Heyman was removed as booker, and another was because Triple H was drafted to Smackdown! but was drafted back to RAW, sadly. He could have added even more credibility to Smackdown! with brand new feuds (Eddie, Mysterio) and some old ones (Angle, Taker).

I think the match you are talking about was from starcade 96. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Luger faced The Giant at Starrcade 96, but Sting did make an appearance in the match.

Smackdown Spoilers from England...

Don't worry, when they are back in the states next week, we will have a new WWE Champion, and it will be Mr. Randy K. Orton! LET'S CELEBRATE! -
I hope this audio thing is changed my early-mid December when I ask for it.

You left out one important player:
-
Tell me, if someone like Kurt Angle was caught doing steroids, and then shown the door, would you all bitch and complain?
-
Yeah, all of that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, the two had a better match a year before that leading up to Spring Stampede. Sting countered the Diamond Cutter into a Scorpian Deathdrop. BTW - has WWE confirmed that they want to do a Sting DVD?
-
If Bret doesn't get inducted into the HOF next year (which judging by reports, he won't due to his long vacation in Italy), I'm just going to give up hope on him ever being put in there. I don't know why Bret wouldn't want to be put in at this point.
-
Nice! Someone finally did it besides me. Lock this son of a bitch and delete it.
-
I was actually going to let someone else do it, because I was getting bored with it, but if you insist on me doing it.
-
No, I found out that morning. I wake up, get up and then... Dad: Eddie Guerrero died! Me: *not hearing him good* What? Dad: Eddie Guerrero died yesterday! Me: WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?

I think WWE wanted Cena to tone down the freestyles due to the FCC, so instead of just toning them down, he quit doing them. I was watching The Undertaker DVD, and I had forgot how edgy Cena's freestyles used to be.
-
I just wonder what is going through Cena's mind. This has to be frustrating to him.
-
This time last week, I still didn't know Eddie was dead. I didn't get on the computer at all (for the first time since vacation) on Sunday. Little did I know the shitastic announcement that awaited me and would ruin my entire day.

+ Further proving the point that Hassan was a douche. + Good to see Sting and Austin staying away from Vince respectably. + I bet HBK regrets some of his past behavior.

So, do you think this movie will outgross Episode III? It's one of the favorites to do so (along with Narnia and Kong).
