John Cena calls out the The Rock for leaving wrestling
Twisted Intestine replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
It depends on their situation. Most of the younger wrestlers, who love the business, and want to make it big, would choose to stick with wrestling. More older wrestlers who have been in the business for awhile might choose to go to movies if they were given the chance, but alot of them would still stick with wrestling, because alot of them love the business. Yeah, I'd say if you were to survey all current active wrestlers, you'd get more saying that they'd stick with wrestling over a movie career. (If the level of money they're making as around the same as it would be for acting.. I.E. Indy wrestlers would have an indy movie career etc.) -

Well, no, the arguement was that any wrestler would trade places with The Rock. Some wrestlers would, and some wouldn't, because they view wrestling as a better career for them, for whatever reason. I don't think it's fair to say that "few wrestlers" would choose the life on the road over a moderetly successful acting career. Why didn't they take acting courses then? What are they even doing wrestling in the first place? I don't disagree that some wrestlers would rather be actors, but I wouldn't say most, and definately not all. -

John Cena calls out the The Rock for leaving wrestling

Considering while he was on hiatus on 2005, Hunter and Stephanie were shopping him around Hollywood, I'd say he was receptive to the idea. If Hunter could have a career like The Rock, he'd jump at the chance. Meh. maybe he was a bad example.. Though I couldn't see him leaving his father in laws company. He would probably just do movies on the side, and still wrestle almost full time. There are lots of people who would rather be wrestlers than actors, I'm sure though.. If somebody dreamed of working in the WWE, and were working the indys, and they offered a WWE contract, and a hollywood movie contract, I bet most of them would go to the WWE. Because it's just what they want to do. Be a wrestler. Which they don't view as being a D-List actor. -
I think we've had this exact discussion somewhere before..
-
I sit here manually changing it, just to drive him nuts.
-
Why, do you think I'm wrong too? I'm just trying to get a simple point across, which is some wrestlers want to be wrestlers and not actors - which are two different things - but I guess I'll give up Jingus, why are you training to become a D-list actor?

Dumbest Comment of the Day at TSM
Twisted Intestine replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in No Holds Barred
Wow, maybe I'm not insane. Somebody agrees with what I'm saying? I'm going nuts in that folder because I know I'm right, but nobody else seems to think so.. Edit: and to not take my quote out of context, somebody said how many wrestlers can say they've presented an oscar, which is what I was responding to with my WWE title example. -

Okay, you're right. I give up, and admit I am wrong. I must be, because everybody seems to disagree. Wrestlers are just wannabe actors. Haha, they wish. Suckers. They can never make it as big as The Rock and are all jelous that he made it to the next level of their acting career than they're at. They're stuck at level D! suckas. -

Can somebody back me up here, or am I just completely insane? -

No, if you're a wrestler you aren't a D level actor. They're TOTALLY DIFFERENT JOBS. Sure, when you're cutting a promo, maybe you're a D Level actor. But wrestling, putting a match together in front of a live crowd IS NOT LIKE READING LINES IN FRONT OF A CAMERA AT ALL! APPLES AND ORANGES, PEOPLE. There's alot more to wrestling a match than 'pretending to fight'. -

Thats like saying being a governer is better than being a police officer. Maybe for some people, but some like being a police officer better and would never even want to be a governer. I give up. -
John Cena calls out the The Rock for leaving wrestling
Twisted Intestine replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
Thats not the point. The point is, some people enjoy being wrestlers. Some people dream of it all their life. Some people enjoy it throughout their whole careers, and would never want to be anything else. I don't even know what I'm arguing anymore, because it has nothing to do with The Rock. Oh yeah, I remember.. Just because The Rock chose that he would rather do movies at this point in his life, doesn't mean that all wrestlers would. Many wrestlers in fact, wouldn't. There's nothing wrong with either way. Just different people who want to do different things. There, I said it as clear as possible, I know I'm right on that point, it's over. I guess some people's line of thinking is that being a movie star is more prestigeous to the main stream than being a professional wrestler, you get payed more, and you don't have to injure your body while doing it, therefore all wrestlers would rather be actors. -

Yes and for lots of those people, they still love wrestling and it's still what they enjoy doing with their lives. Do you really think HHH would jump into being a full time actor if he was given the chance? I think he loves wrestling and would choose to remain a wrestler. What Anklelock? That's not a reply. Tell me how I'm wrong. They're two completely different things. Wrestling is going out in front of a live audience and putting on a match. Being in movies is being filmed, and doing multiple takes of each line out of sequence, then waiting to see what the director and editor do with it. Making movies isn't necessarily a step up from being a wrestler.. It all depends on the individual and what they want to do. -

I know, I wasn't saying that The Rock was wrong for moving on to film making, or that it made him love wrestling any less. All I was saying is, some people love wrestling and thats what they want to do with their lives. Being in movies isn't "better" than being a wrestler, and all wrestlers wouldnt jump at the chance to be in movies. Is it that hard for people to fathom that some wrestlers might actually WANT to be a WRESTLER? Why's everyone seem to think that they'd all be movie stars if they could. -

Also, I found that quote much more interesting. -

That's not true... if somebody loves the wrestling business and wants to be a wrestler, and has a spot working for the WWE and love what they're doing, why would they leave to make movies? Not everyone cares about more money.. and unless you love the film industry, why would you care about presenting or even getting an oscar? Being in movies isn't necessarily a better job than being a professional wrestler. They're two different professions and it depends on what you want to do with your life. Being an actor isn't "bigger and better things" than being a wrestler. They're two different things, one is not better than the other. I disagree 100% that any wrestler would trade places with the Rock. I mean, how many people who've presented Academy Awards can say they've won the WWE title? See, works both ways. -
You can tell a wrestler by his hand wrinkles? Somebody watches a bit too much! I couldn't even tell my girlfriend by her hand wrinkles.

WWE General Discussion - February 2008
Twisted Intestine replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
If you give Austin 10 million, then you would have to give Hogan double... Which would piss Austin off, and making him no show. Pay more based on who is going to lose. I bet Austin would take more money to lose, and Hogan would be happy because he was going over, since he probably has a bigger ego and winning is more important to him. -
Comments which don't warrant a thread.
Twisted Intestine replied to Giuseppe Zangara's topic in No Holds Barred
I don't know.. alot of times it seems like they change the colour and mix up the chapters, just to make more money. The only problem with buying an older edition(from my experience), is that if your prof is talking about something on a certain page, it will be on a different page in your book. But if you know what the chapters called, you should be able to find it. -
lol, thanks for pointing that out to me! I will be number 1!

I knew you'd say that.
