You can say anything you want about Shockey and Burress, but Tiki is the engine that runs the Giants. I was watching the Fox pregame show today, one of them said something about Tiki being one of the best total yardage guys in NFL history. Is that right?
Sure they won, but you can't say that after that win today. Their offense did shit for 3 and 9/10 of the game, and the only reason they won is because Tim Lewis went back to the zone blitz D which killed the Giants the first six games, and Eli with an awful game.
Giants didn't deserve it anyway.
Absolutley pathetic effort.
The d was great, but what in the HELL is Tim Lewis doing going into a zone D, when the Vikings haven't done SHIt when we've played them man on man.
Unfuckingbelievable.
Giants special teams didn't show up today.
UGH.
This is so remicent of the old days. Great D, sucky offesnse, suckass special teams.
Why in the world didn't the Giants go for two? I understand another TD makes it a two possesion game, but Minnesota isn't doing anything on the Giants D.
Giants come out real flat on offense, D looking good again though.
Edit: Worse than flat. Recievers dropping passes, Eli 1-7 with 1 INT. Come on guys.
edit2: And Eli is really looking like a rookie against a terrible D. 2nd INT, this one for a TD.
I think its something like the NFL's rule about how in the final couple minutes of the 1st or 2nd half if a player fumbles the ball forward he is the only person who can recover the ball and get forward progress. (extra yards-TD)
Damn, there goes another 55 bucks.

I remember something with Curtis Martin and the Jets earlier in the season. On the goal line, he fumbled trying to jump over into the endzone. A Jets reciever reciever covered it in the endzone for a TD, but it didn't count due to the rule.
Yankees declined Tinos option because according to cashman, "we've got Andy Phillips waiting in the wings waiting for a chance."
Never ever thought I'd hear that. Not that Phillips doesn't deserve a chance, he was probably better than Tino the whole year take away that one week. It actually makes sence, as having Giambi and Tino both as lefties kind of messed things up. Phillips kills lefty pitching from what I've seen.
Just once I'd like to hear a GM say "we're going to downgrade our outfield and probably grab some scrubs for our bullpen." I'd get a kick out of that.
Speaking of Bernie, I was surprised to learn today that he's logged more seasons as the Yankees' primary center fielder than any other player, including Mantle and Dimaggio.

I can't remember Bernie being on the DL for any long period of time. Hes been basically injury free his whole career.
Giants have a hell of a stretch to end the year. Eagles at home and on the road, Skins away, Seahawks away, Cowboys at home, home for KC, and away at Oakland, so I'm not convinced.
