MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread

I'd just like to give a big "way to go" to Jeff Joslin. His gym is about five minutes away from my house, and it's great to see a local guy making an impact on the international stage. -
Boy Under Age of 7 Rapes Girl With Stick

They would either pay a steep fine, or the child would become a ward of the state and trained for either military or civil service. ... Or they could let an infertile couple who does pass the test and get the license adopt the kid. -
I can't be the only one who's loving this. It's a much-needed return to the Survivor Series tradition that made the show unique.

I'll always be a fan of the one where Daffy was Robin Hood. The plot of the episode was that Friar Tuck (Porky Pig) didn't believe that Daffy actually was Robin Hood, and Daffy had to rob from the rich to prove it, failing miserably each time.

Well, it's true. Penn likely would've won if he had the stamina to go more than two rounds.

The HIAC match was the perfect way for the DX/McMahons feud to be blown off: lots of blood, a few big spots, and Vince getting his comeuppance for his ass-related antics. The marks I watched this with went nuts for the last five minutes of that match.

Good. Hopefully, Whitney can get her life back together. As for Brown, he's hopeless.

Didn't watch The Simpsons or American Dad, but Family Guy seemed more like the older episodes. There were a lot fewer "Remember the time we did this and that..." gags, and more within-the-plot jokes.

Given that Edge/Carlito/Trish vs. Cena/Orton/Lita worked out well last Monday, it's understandable that the booking team would try another six-man tag. Hopefully, they can keep the quality up.

I'll be getting the Wii. You can talk about graphics and all that jazz, but at the end of the day, the price tag on Nintendo's new console just looks too good to pass up.

Two years later, and nothing has changed: Evanescence's music does nothing for me, but I'd still fuck Amy Lee raw.

You'd think that Holly'd be the type of guy who could get over with the ECW marks. All they've got to do is put over all the shit he's come back from.

I, a straight male, enjoy listening to ABBA.

I'm gonna go for an obscure one here. Has anyone ever heard "Mouth" by Merril Bainbridge? It got a lot of play in Montreal in the summer of 1996, which should be anyone's first clue that it's moronic. Without further ado, the lyrics: http://www.elyrics4u.com/m/mouth_merril_bainbridge.htm I have never laughed so hard as I did when I first heard this. Hell, I was all of nine years old that summer (and susceptible to buying shit like this... hell, I bought the Backstreet Boys' first album around that time), and even I could tell how inane this woman must be. Honestly, it sounds like she's singing about fucking a contortionist.

I agree with the 411 recapper: RAW is now a tale of two shows. We've got the Cena/Edge stuff (which is good-to-great), and everything else (which sucks). The Carlito/Orton program looks promising, though. Good to see Masters back.

I laughed out loud while reading the lyrics to "Don't Download This Song." Sounds like Weird Al's done it again.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060826/ap_on_...iran_nuclear_76 Well, you know what they say: if Iran wants a nuke...

I remember there being a lot of CFL players in the XFL. Just going through the LA Xtreme roster, I've found nine CFLers.

It's a decent idea. It shows how much power the McMahons wield, thus employing the classic "stack the deck against the faces" angle.

You could feud him with some of the "bigger" Superstars. Have him rag on them for being roided-up, whether they are or not, all the while keeping his conceited, arrogant persona. It's a stretch, but quite a few of the storylines in WWE nowadays are.

"And starting at centre for your Pittsburgh Penguins, number 007... Evgeny Malkin!"

Immminent terror attack foiled
Dogbert replied to Prophet of Mike Zagurski's topic in Current Events
I got the tin-foil out. Anyone know how to make a hat? -
I'm surprised that Hollywood waited five years to exploit the WTC attacks. This oughta line their pockets nicely.

Half the Canadians we're evacuating don't even live here. They live in Lebanon, but have dual citizenship. As far as I'm concerned, those people should sit down, shut up and be damned grateful we didn't leave them to be blown to smithereens.

You've gotta feel bad for Henry. Every time he's on the cusp of something big, bam! Life smacks him upside the head once more.
