Wait, Calgary tied it up? It was 2-0 Canucks with 6 to play when I went to bed last night. Yup. Giordano scored at 10:06, and then Ritchie tied it at 12:09. Jovanovski won it in OT for Vancouver.

If the Flames or Habs are still doing poorly at the All-Star break, then I start getting concerned. I don't give up 'til they're officially out, though.

I didn't mind watching Calgary lose last night, even if it was to Vancouver. They still clinched a spot with the OTL, and the third-period comeback in their third game in four nights says a lot. I'd have liked to see them win it in the overtime period, but I think it was obvious that the fumes they were running on were just about used up by then. Does anyone else think that 7 games in 11 days is ridiculous? Even worse, the Sharks have to play 5 in 7 days this week.

Marchment sucks. Can't wait until Leo, Rhettzky and Regehr v.2 are back, so we can push this relic back into the press-box. Although they lost tonight, if Calgary wins against Phoenix and Minny, they can clinch a spot with a win in Vancouver on Saturday night.

I'm a huge fan of both shows. Can't wait to see this.

Calgary wins 4-1. They benefitted from an absolutely brutal call, though. You'll hear about it when the official apology comes down... or at least, that's what the NHL should do.

Big, BIG statement game tonight in Edmonton. The Flames will likely have 5 regulars (Lundmark, Leopold, Nilson, Warrener, Leclerc) out of the lineup, and one more (McCarty) not playing, even though he'll be dressed. In addition, Calgary just played last night, and Edmonton is rested; add it all up, and the Flames have every excuse in the book to lose tonight. If they can pull this off, it'll speak volumes about their character.

As if we didn't need further indication that the company is turning into WCW. I bet I know ONE finish that won't be getting flip-flopped on at the last second...
