  1. To me, Bret Hart was the WWF during the down period of 1992-1997. If anything's going to tarnish his legacy, it's that he was never "The Man" during a boom period for the business, so he's not the household name that Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin and The Rock are; however, in my opinion, WWE would not be around today if it weren't for Bret.
  2. Greek. Souvlaki, kebabs, a slice or two of pita bread with tzatziki... gotta love it.
  3. That ending looked incredibly gay.
  4. Coach mocking Lillian.
  5. I liked the spot at the end.
  6. I liked Cena doing the hair-flip thing. It's funny because it's true.

I'd like to point out that my cousin Nick was one of the few Oceanic players not to register a minus on the night. Calgary won in Minnesota to salvage something from this rotten weekend. I have no comment on the Nashville debacle.
  9. I read something on 411 about them signing "natural" big men, in order to compensate for the current roster getting smaller.
  10. I have a Toshiba. It was top-of-the-line last May, which is after my game hit the shelves. The sound is coming from the area around the Start button. I have an ATI Radeon 9000 card, or something like that. It supports NHL06 and Madden NFL 06 perfectly. It only happens when I try to play a game of FIFA Soccer 2005. It's never happened before that.

    Lollapalooza 2006

Headlining the show will be Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld.
  12. I bought FIFA Soccer 2005 yesterday. It's pretty good, when I actually get to play it; you see, after a few minutes of having the game on, my computer makes a clicking sound, and then turns itself off. What the hell is up with my laptop?

I went to the Sens/Lightning game and was very impressed with Ottawa's win, given the fact that they were playing at a 7-on-5 disadvantage all night. The referees were absolutely atrocious, and I'm just surprised that nobody started throwing garbage onto the ice, because it was just that bad.
  14. You've been beaten to it.

I'm surprised that nobody mentioned the Lightning as a loser. They needed to acquire a goalie at any cost, and did not do it; I'm highly doubting that Grahame and Burke can even get them to the playoffs, and if they do, Tampa will be gone in the first round. Simply put, Calgary and Buffalo can still win as they are, though it'll be harder. Tampa Bay can't.

As per the Fan 960, Jason Wiemer's been traded to NJ for a 4th-rounder.

Svatos is out for the season. I think the Avs should be very worried about the way this next little while is shaping up. Peter Maher on the Fan 960: "Sutter's not talking until everything is done." What the hell does that mean?

The fact is that if Roloson doesn't work out, they're up the creek. I half-expected them to move for another goalie.

I'm impressed with the Samsonov deal (depending on what they traded to get him), even though he's having an off year. They'd better hope that Sergei regains his form, though, because he hasn't hit 70 points since 2002. Arnason's a Senator, heading there for Brandon Bochenski.

This Avs/Habs trade is just the start. Something huge is gonna go down tomorrow; perhaps the Canucks and Panthers will be involved?
  23. I saw Pink's "Stupid Girls" video for the first time today, and may I say: zing. It's no "This One's For You," of course, but it's good for what it is. I've been waiting for someone to use a music video in order to take a shot at some of these airheads.
  24. My usual lunch, consisting of soup (Turkey Vegetable today) and a few chocolate chip cookies.
  25. The Canadians needed to put Loewen in today in order to save Bedard for the second round... at least, that's what Ernie Whitt said on Sportsnet.
