After I have been shitting on the MacBooks, I also picked one up the other day. My Powerbook died on me, so I got a MacBook hoping it wouldn't die on me. And I don't see the speediness like Vivi says. Then again I have been mostly using the internet, so I don't know. I like it better though, the keyboard layout is nice. Plus the little camera guy kicks ass. Mine doesn't have a DVD burner though, which blows.

I am looking to get a home theater system and I want to get this one. Now do I also need to get a receiver? I know nothing about HTS, so thanks in advance. EDIT: Nevermind, I see it comes with a receiver.

What made the first Clerks so amazing was that it was in black & white. It was as if we were seeing the action through one of surveillance cameras. It would be like Sin City 2 being in all black & white.

Is it worth the download?

Sometimes, the mail van comes on Saturday. I think somebody on here, maybe Dangerous A, sometimes gets theirs on Wednesday or Thursday somehow, possibly because they live right near to Dave. I used to get mine on Friday back in the day, but now I get it on Mondays.

How'd you get this? The mail doesn't come on Memorial Day. I should wait till I get it in the mail because I am paying for it, but fuck it.

I still think she is a gimmick.

This is complete bullshit. DVC is doing better than anticipated? Did they think it would do poorly or something? When a book is number 1 on the NYT best sellers list for 3,000 weeks, it is going to kick ass as a movie. And Superman is going to kill X-Men. I think SM has more of a family appeal to it and the first movie in a franchise usually makes more than the sequels. LOTR, Shrek, Matrix (Well the 2nd one did better, but the third one dropped mostly because people realized the franchise sucked and all), and MI are the few that the sequels did better. 5/25/1977 Star Wars $460,998,007 5/21/1980 The Empire Strikes Back $290,271,960 5/25/1983 Return of the Jedi $309,205,079 5/19/1999 Star Wars: Phantom Menace $431,088,297 5/16/2002 Star Wars: Attack of the Clones $310,676,740 5/19/2005 Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith $380,262,555 11/16/2001 Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone $317,557,891 11/15/2002 Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets $261,987,880 6/4/2004 Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban $249,509,413 11/18/2005 Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire $290,013,036 5/3/2002 Spider-Man $403,706,375 6/30/2004 Spider-Man 2 $373,524,485 6/11/1993 Jurassic Park $357,067,947 5/23/1997 The Lost World $229,086,679 7/18/2001 Jurassic Park 3 $181,166,115 6/12/1981 Raiders of the Lost Ark $242,374,454 5/23/1984 Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom $179,870,271 5/24/1989 Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade $197,171,806 6/23/1989 Batman $251,188,924 6/19/1992 Batman Returns $162,833,635 6/16/1995 Batman Forever $184,031,112 6/20/1997 Batman & Robin $107,325,195 EDIT: After going through The-Numbers.com some more, I see that it's about 60-40 when it comes to the first movie making more than the sequel. SM is still going to out gross X-Men.

Standing ovation means nothing to me. These film festivals give standing ovations all the time. The fact it is in color annoys me more than anything.

You changed your avatar for a few days KKK.

From the MI3 thread: Yeah, it's #2 alright. And that DVC, what a bust for that movie.

I was reading a review of Blu-Ray and it doesn't look like it has any HDMI ports: http://www.digit-life.com/articles2/blu-ray/ Unless I am missing them. EDIT: Errr, it is a Blu-Ray recorder, but still.

I now own a MacBook because my Powerbook (2nd one) broke. It sucks because I couldn't return my Powerbook at first, but I called Apple and they said I should be able to. So I went back to CompUSA and they said I can bring it back. I'll just get about $1679 in store credit. I guess I'll be getting some more toys.

Whoa, common sense. Yeah, that kind of caught me off guard. Well people were acting like it was such a big deal if one was created.

Good God, if a folder is created and ECW doesn't workout, YOU CAN JUST DELETE THE FOLDER. It isn't like admin is creating a new planet.

I like that, change is always good for a show. It keeps things from getting stale.

I think I am going to buy a PS3 and just sell it on ebay and make money. I don't want it at all. Wii on the other hand...

I have been trying to download some movies on bittorrent and a lot of them are rar files. I downloaded the Rar program for a Mac, but I can't seem to figure out to use it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Umm, so Desmond's lady friend knew to look for an electric magnetic field? That is soo lame. She would have no idea that Desmond is near one of those.

You can still rent some VHS at Blockbuster.

Locke isn't dead, his story isn't done yet. We still don't know how he got in the wheelchair. Did anyone notice how this season finale was just like last seasons? Someone gets captured by the Others. Someone goes out on a boat. Someone blows up something in the Hatch. A group takes a walk into the Jungle looking for something. I really enjoyed the episode, but I think they are starting to get themselves to far deep in mystery. I just hope they wrap it up in 5 seasons because I can't see them going longer than that.
-
There is no way they killed Locke; his story isn't over. So Henry Gale is the leader? We should have figured.

So it went from your favorite show to maybe not watching it anymore? Me thinking Firefly is still number...
