Oh, it won't do well at all. Universal SAYS they have faith in it, but they move it to a SEPTEMBER release date. The month that has the lowest box-office numbers. The movie will do well IF the critics like it and from word of mouth. But the movie will make atleast $15 million opening weekend for all of the Whedon geeks out there. Okay that might be stretching it, BUT I CAN HOPE.

It doesn't really bother me since he does more overacting than acting. He doesn't want to take that title away from Jim Carrey.

I was looking at The-Numbers.com and I came across something interesting. It seems that SLJ is the new box-office king, with The Incredibles, it pushed him past Harrison Ford. Jackson movies have made $3,397,238,322 next to Ford's $3,255,071,377. Granted, Jackson has been in 63 movies while Ford has only been in 33, but he does have a nice record under his belt.

You have to include worldwide numbers because if his movies do well overseas, then he is still going to get jobs. Overseas = money. For example, Waterworld cost around $175 million to make and only grossed $90 million in the US. However, it made $165 overseas so I'd call it a success in one way or another. And those three movies weren't family flicks, so "by the numbers" he shouldn't do movies that aren't aimed at the family audience. I'd say he is doing pretty well for himself right now. The critics might hate him, but he is making a couple bucks and still is a draw.

The Grudge scared you? I'm sorry... Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Old) is the only movie that comes to mind that scared me recently. As a kid, I was scared by everything.

I read that script and he got almost exactly what he deserved. Course, that was a bad project to begin with and the director didn't help him. But Joss deserves just as much bad credit for that stinker as everyone else. You got your hands on the original script, before it was ripped apart? Where did you get this? And people have to remember when Whedon wrote Alien Resurrection, probably in 96 since the movie came out in 97, he wasn't as good as a writer. This was even before Buffy and he has grown since then, especially with Angel and Firefly coming out. Once again, I am biased.
