I was looking at WWE.com and I came across WWE Match Jukebox. One of the links brought me to the top 10 matches watched and I was a bit surprised by what was popular. I guess you can't say I was surprised because mostly marks use it, but I would think they would have better taste.
Here are the "The following matches are the most watched matches by WWE Match Jukebox subscribers." My comments are under each match in bold.
10. Trish Stratus vs. Stacy Keibler, Bra & Panties Match RAW 10/7/02
- No. If I want to see some T&A, I'll watch something else. I watch wrestling for wrestling.
9. Andre the Giant vs. Hulk Hogan, Shea Stadium, 8/9/80
- Yes. I am sure the match wasn't any good, but I'd see it for historical purposes. Plus the fact I've never seen it before.
8. The Rock vs. Goldberg, Backlash 2003, 4/27/03
- No. This match was horrible and showed that Goldberg couldn't wrestle. Which we all knew, but some folks didn't. If memory serves me correct this is Goldberg's first WWE match, so maybe that is why it is so popular.
7. Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels, Survivor Series, 11/9/97
- Yes. Even though the match sucked, I'd still watch it for, once again, historical purposes. I'd actually just go straight to the end.
6. Undertaker vs. Hulk Hogan, Tuesday in Texas, 12/2/91
- No. Why do people want to watch this match? So they can see Hogan win his 4th(if this actually counted) title? Plus this match was horrible, no thanks.
5. Undertaker vs. Kane, WrestleMania XX, 3/14/04
- No. Once again, why did people watch this? To see the Undertaker make his 3000th comeback? This match was HORRIBLE.
4. The 1995 Royal Rumble Match, 1/22/95
- No. This one boggles me the most. It wasn't the best Rumble (92, 04) and wasn't the worst (96, 99), but it wasn't that good. Maybe HBK winning? Got me.
3. Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker, Hell in a Cell Badd Blood, 10/5/97
- Yes. Do I even have to say why? This is my favorite Hell in the Cell.
2. Torrie Wilson vs. Stacy Keibler, Bra & Panties Match SmackDown! 7/4/02
- No. Sooo Torrie dressed, err, barely dressed in the American flag is a draw? News to me.
1. Undertaker's debut, Survivor Series, 11/22/90
- No. Well I know why this is popular, but the match wasn't anywhere near good. I remember always wanting to see this as a kid because the video had a ? mark for Dibiase and I wanted to know who it was. This isn't even worthy to watch for historical purposes.
I'd only watch 3 of those matches and two of those are worth a viewing for historical purposes. And only of them is anywhere near good. I guess marks will be marks I guess.
And here is the link.
