Agreed. Babcock? I could have coached the Red Wings to a first-place finish in the Central this year. And I'm a Habs fan, so clearly I know shit about hockey. Fuckin Biron. He came up in a sweet-nothing conversation with my ex a few years ago, as if I needed more reasons to hate him.

I'm disappointed with the lack of black girls in Calgary. I like black women. EMHE, you hoardin?
-
Yes, and rightfully. No reason for us to be losing this series - poor officiating in our favour only scrapes that surface. Nightwing, do I count as a CDub? I'm drinking already anyway. Babcock is a bit of a surprise - I think Julien should have been the third. Shit, Flyers PP coming up. Edit: What the fuck? McKenzie bros. Theme at Wachovia when the Habs commit a penalty?

Questions to be answered by the next person to post in the thread
CanadianGuitarist replied to a topic in Sports
I'm gonna say Paul Maurice - one playoff appearance in '01, and a Finals appearance in '02? That certainly can't be his doing; I can probably come up with a better answer if I really thought about it, but I wanna ask a follow-up question immediately. I suppose this is why I'm not a market research expert, but what's the appeal to having four or five parks with your name on it? Has anyone ever gone to a ballpark and said "Hey. I need a new cell phone? BUT WITH WHOM???????????????????????? Wait, At&T Park. Settled!" I could see, say, Bob's Insurance Field in a suburban town, but has anyone in America not heard of At&T? -
Anyone see the Polish League highlight on Sportscentre. A goalie scored into an empty net....by skating up the ice and hammering home a one-timer! And it turns out that's against IIHF rules - so the empty-net team got a penalty shot as compensation. No matter, "Hextall" stopped it.

70% cheese and 30% shit means you're still getting a mouthful of shit. This. Interestingly, I don't like cauliflower on it's own, but cheese/cauliflower isn't too bad.

Tough to say - if things pan out like this year, then certainly yes. If Mike Green, Nicklas Backstrom, and Alexander Semin are for real, and with a few healthy seasons of Huet, I think the potential is there for Ovechkin to lose his 'big fish in a small pond' status. The Caps certainly look like a very complete team at this point, despite my prediction on March 15 of them not getting anywhere near the playoffs.

Props to the Flyers. There was absolutely no reason for the Habs to leave without a win tonight. Even with Price's shaky goaltending, they still controlled most of the game and had PLENTY of PP chances. I'm not complaining about their special teams per se, but the 2/6 stat hardly tells the whole story.

Is this my fault? Because this won't end well. Wait, it can't be - the point of my question was missed entirely. It didn't hit the post or the crossbar. It wasn't deflected back into the neutral zone by a sliding defenceman. It went into the stands from the second it was shot. -
Since I no longer like hockey, I'm going to point out how awesome the Molson commercials are. "You'll like Canadian if you ever took a road trip in a car that had no business on a road trip, if you turned down a booty call during the playoffs, if you think hockey tape will fix anything." Anyone seen 'em? There's two - I think I've done everything on both lists.

Regardless of how or why, the resurgence of the Stars so far has been quite a story. Two beauty gloves by Biron so far, and the Habs just hit the post. Something familiar about this.....

It had no bearing on my first-round vote against it, but is there a more phallic food in the world than asparagus? This certainly shouldn't be put into a tournament (well, maybe in Graphic Testing), but I can think of four of five contenders off the top of my head.

What type is it? Flat-panel or CRT? Either way, the answer is probably yes.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter - Canadian Stampede
CanadianGuitarist replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in General Wrestling
Remember Edmonton singing the anthem at Game 6 in the 2006 finals? I honestly think the Stampede was louder; As silly as the concept is, the Harts' entrances might have been the proudest I've ever been to be Canadian. -

If VGA and S-Video out on my PC won't carry sound, how can I hook my PC up to my television with sound? Would a 3.5mm-to-RCA cable work if it's plugged in through the headphone jack on my PC? -
Top 50 Stars of the Last 50 Years
CanadianGuitarist replied to EVIL~! alkeiper's topic in General Wrestling
Raven was a fantastic character, had some of the best promos in wrestling history, and his feud with Tommy Dreamer might be my favourite ever. But is he one of the biggest 50 stars? Probably not. -
This came up in the now-closed Michael Hayes thread; What were the other two examples of him being racist?

I've been using a lot of italics lately. I think it's kind of a subconscious tribute to my boy, Hoff. Clearly, it's no longer a drunken elephant noise. I've been told my roommate dated a girl about a month ago who looked like a horse. (I moved in two weeks ago) When being told this story, the other two guys who live here made horse noises. Might be even more fun. Also, I do Jim Mora's "PLAYOFFS?" thing a lot when drunk now. Baron and I went through about 45 seconds of pissed-off coach one-liners, when he was in town last Saturday. He's a man. He's 40. -

No. I tolerate lactose, and warm milk sounds icky to me. Exactly. -

Eat a turkey sandwich then. The tryptophan in the turkey is whats in the milk, makes you good and sleepy. Turkey doesn't make you sleepy, eating large quantities of food makes you sleepy. We've been over this before, I'm certain. Really? I wasn't privy to this discussion. Although it makes sense. And I hate to be that guy, but I have to pick apart Matt's statement here. What, are we to be surprised that warm milk sounds gross to you, because you're lactose intolerant? Would a full tolerance of all things lactose make warm milk sound any better? That'd be like someone saying "Cocks are gross to look at...and I'm a heterosexual!" Sorry, Matt. -
Know what? I might retract my statement of 'medium'. Can I get away with saying "Philly cheesesteak" as my preference?

Picnic Basket Free for All 4. Corn on the Cob - This might wind up being my winner. Butter that shit up - this is summer. 3. Mac and Cheese - Perfect comfort side dish. Bread Bracket 4. Cornbread 2. Garlic Bread - If cheese is added, could be the hands-down winner. Still an awesome side. Taters! 4. Hash Browns 2. French Fries - The pizza analogy was correct - I love onion rings, but I've had some baaaaaaad onion rings. (A&W, for example). I have never had a bad french fry. Greens and Grains 4. Couscous 3. Fried Okra

Agreed about Theodore, and not just because of his poor play the last two games. Budaj has looked solid. The officiating in this game is pretty ridiculous. Five straight penalties, including two minutes of 5-on-3? Pretty soft penalties called against a team that's down by four.
-
I agree with this, but also with Baron's statement below. He certainly didn't intentionally knee-on-knee him. If it had turned out to be a hip check, play continues. A knee, incidental or not, is a penalty.
