The only guy I can see HHH elevating is Jeff Hardy, but I don't know if WWE would put their trust in him.

The Armageddon 04 match was good?! I've never seen it, or any of JBL's awful title run that year, but from what I heard about that match, it was the height of JBL tanking as champion, as he had 3 other men in the match, and it still sucked. Poor Eddie.

Don't worry Noah Fentz, I'll defend you on here. But I don't think Cena or Hogan's pops are completely piped in or anything. Sure there might be piped in chants for all I know, but I think they get legit cheers too. The only guy that had really embarrassing piped in chants was Goldberg. He was completely out of style in 2000, and the crowd wouldn't make a sound when he came out to the ring, yet we would hear Goldberg chants from somewhere.

Smackdown spoilers (a little basic)

This Edge stuff sounds awesome, but this Vickie face turn is going to be a huge flop. Is Edge shoving her out of a wheelchair evil? She's been able to walk for months anyway, and only uses it as a heel act. I'm glad they turned Chavo face, since I have thought he has had a ready made face turn for months by feuding with Edge over the Vickie stuff. The sad thing is, we know Chavo isn't going anywhere as a face but just jobbing to Edge. -
If anything, that push he had in 06 against the Taker is what proved to me he wasn't any good. I liked Kennedy's act in OVW in 05 and was glad he was on Smackdown in late 05, but that injury just killed him. He was gone for months, and I didn't miss him one bit, then I knew they were going to overpush him when he came back, and they did. They actually made him cut real promos that went on for 10 minutes, and it proved that he had no mic skills, and since he had that injury, he got worse in the ring too. Ever since that lame push in 06, I have never wanted to see him again.

I agree, Chris Harris has killed his career more than anyone I've ever seen. This was a guy in TNA that I thought was good, yet ever since he's been in WWE, he has looked fat and awful in the ring.
-
Well, I too was never a Cyclops fan, and I was glad they didn't focus on his character that much, since the animated series of X-Men sucked because it had Cyclops as the main focus, and it was nothing but soap opera crap.

I don't really think Stiller is that popular anymore really. He really overexposed himself in 2004 by having like a 100 movies out that year, so I think people got kinda tired of him. Jack Black has never been that much of a draw in starring vehicles really. I think School of Rock, and Nacho Libre made a lot of money, but otherwise, not really. Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder have the same thing in common: they both have performances that look like they steal the show.
-
Yeah, I have no clue what your talking about. Wolverine is a very interesting character that can carry a movie on his own. I was thrilled when I heard about this movie being made.
-
I thought there was plenty of graphic violence in the Punisher, but yeah, it does take a while for that to happen.
-
The Dirt Sheet? Ugh, awful. I just hate the Miz and Morrison. Did anyone notice that really embarrassing suplex by Braden Walker? He could barely hold on to James Curtis in the air!
-
Yeah, I guess Tropic Thunder is a major release. Though I got a feeling that if it didn't have Robert Downey Jr. in it, no one would care about it. Stiller's last movie didn't do that well I don't think, and Jack Black's last live action movie didn't do anything as well, but Downey was in the blockbuster Iron Man, and really revived his career, so I think people's interest in the movie is all him.
-
Yeah, that was an obvious rip off of The Crow. And I don't think that 2004 Punisher is anything near as boring as 2003 Hulk, not even close, hell anything isn't. You gotta love Nash as the russian!
-
Man, if that isn't an ironic title for a movie, I don't know what is. And Meet the Spartans had good stuff in the trailers?
-
Well, Tropic Thunder and Pineapple Express will probably make a decent amount of money, but they don't seem like major releases to me. I don't know anything of note coming out in September, and Saw 5 is pretty much the only movie I know of coming out in October. I don't really think that movie will make that much money, since people are really getting tired of that series.
-
Ha! I never thought of that before, that this show is in Houston as well, but I think that match has a shot at happening. HHH isn't going to elevate anyone and unless they do some lame 3 or 4-way, I think the Taker is the only option.
-
I wouldn't be shocked if they did Taker vs. HHH, since that is the only credible main event for Smackdown to have at WM.

Yes I know JBL/Punk in storyline makes a lot of sense, but people just have apathy towards JBL in title matches, as he is a guy no one wants to see. WWE is counting on hell in a cell to do the buyrate, so they thought of the worst title matches possible for SS. It just seems like they don't care about their world titles that much. And yes, Cena beating everyone is what has made people hate him. I don't hate him, but I just think he needs to be depushed. Thats one thing about Punk as champion that I like, they've booked him as being human and not just beating everyone he's faced.
-
Yes, Kane is a better worker than JBL, that isn't hard to figure out. You find JBL entertaining? I find him entertaining on the mic, or in a hardcore brawl match, but in a regular match he's terrible. You actually seriously think they were going to have JBL ever win a world title again? If there was no fight outside the ring, the match would have maybe went on another 5 or 10 minutes, and Punk would have just won clean. Thats what they're going to prove at SS.
-
What did the 2004 Punisher make at the box office? Having it cost $15M isn't a bad idea really, since it will make a profit no matter what. The first Saw had the best budget ever, 1 million. That way it would be considered huge business no matter what it made!
-
I liked Jason better when he ran. Then he didn't seem like a Michael Myers clone.
-
pretty much
-
Yeah, I just looked at BoxOfficeMojo.com, and that is crazy. There is nothing notable coming out the rest of this month or september, and maybe even october, so this may have a shot at $600M. What does it say when the next notable movie to come out may be Saw 5?

WCW should have never had so many people join the NWO. It just wasn't necessary. They should have never had the NWO considered to be another company, like their PPV's were called "WCW/NWO presents" whatever. Their just a heel faction, not another company.

Yeah, people complained about his tights last year when he returned. Imagine the looks on their faces last night!
