    SmackDown Spoilers - August 1, 2008

But Raw was a shitty show through all of last year and the early part of this year. How is Orton possibly the best heel they have? If anything, I think he's easily the worst that gets a big push. JBL is a better heel, Edge is the best heel in the company, and Kane whenever he turns heel is better too. And lets look at Orton's title matches when he was on top. The No Mercy last man standing match was good, but no one could take him seriously at all as champion since HHH wrestled 3 times on that show and Orton barely even won that match. HHH was a split second away from getting up. Not to mention, Orton also jobbed to HHH the first match of that show. Survivor Series match against Michaels sucked, Armageddon match against Jericho sucked, and had the lamest excuse to not job a guy. Having him beat Jeff Hardy CLEAN at the Rumble was one of the worst booking decisions ever. The match at No Way Out against Cena was a DQ. Even though he won at Wrestlemania, it didn't mean a damn thing a month later. WWE said he only won at Wrestlemania because they thought the show was too predictalbe, and instead jobbed him at Backlash. I mean, how was that title reign any good? I personally wanted Orton to get released in 2005 after Wrestlemania, so I wouldn't ever have to suffer through another one of his bad pushes, and I really hope Raw doesn't get worse when he comes back.

    Who needs a turn?

Thats what I mean. If a guy really is a star, he would have popularity anyway. They've already done a bunch of Cena vs. another good guy match a bunch of times, and he gets booed anyway. If he was heel, things would be the same, but actually make sense. Thats one reason why picking him to face RVD at One Night Stand was a bad idea. Because RVD needed to just face a heel to win the title, yet even though Cena would get booed, WWE obviously wasn't going to turn him heel. So then, you end up with a mess. WWE wanted Cena to be the guy he faced, yet they still weren't going to job him to anybody clean, but RVD needed a good clean win over him to get over. Sure, seeing Cena get booed at that show was funny, but it was bad for business, because you had the guy that WWE has been shoving down people's throats as being their #1 face, get completely booed. Its embarrassing. And Cena I think will always be remembered for that. Being a guy that they tried to make the next Hogan or Austin, yet gets booed by everybody.

    SmackDown Spoilers - August 1, 2008

What is good about Orton? I too have always hated him since he seemed like that guy that got handed the world and didn't deserve it, but whenever he gets pushed hard, the show he's on SUCKS. Smackdown in 05 was very boring when he was getting that superpush late in the year, then it ended up meaning nothing since he screwed up again around the time of Wrestlemania, to where they then booked him to job instead of doing the original plan of him getting the title. Then he's back on Raw with no expanation in 06, gets lucky as hell since he was paired with the best heel in the company (Edge), and I really think if it wasn't for him teaming with Edge, he wouldn't have done shit since. I found his 07 "kick of doom" stuff to be awful. It was silly and laughable. I mean how is kicking Dusty Rhodes in the head supposed to launch a guy into the main event scene? And I think he only got the title because Cena got injured. No way in hell were they going to actually job Cena to him. And during his title run, I don't think he had a good match besides the last man standing with HHH, but I was so disgusted with him getting the title that I don't ever want to watch it again.

    X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Well, I kinda thought that everthing went right when they added Wolverine, including good stories, and mutants being added that became really popular. I don't think anyone gave a damn about that X-Men stuff from the 60's.

Word to that! On wikipedia, it says it could become an animated movie someday. Hope that day is soon!

    Austin Powers 4 Planned

I liked both Wayne's World movies, and I liked Austin Powers 1 and 3 (didn't care for 2, since it tried so hard to be funny, but it has its moments), but even I don't want to see an Austin Powers 4, since there isn't really any good direction to go in, from the way the 3rd movie ended. Its almost like the series was meant to end after 3 really. I mean, Dr. Evil turns good at the end, so who would want to see him as a good guy now?

    X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I too think this movie will be much better received than the X-Men movies, as those movies always had people complaining that Wolverine is way too much of the focus and ignores the other mutants. Not that those movies get bad reviews or anything (except for 3), but I personally never had a problem with Wolverine being a huge focus, since I think he's the only member of the X-Men who draws a dime. Didn't the comic almost get cancelled until they added Wolverine?

    Friday The 13th (2009)

I think part 5 is retconned from the series. They obviously imply that Jarvis becomes the new Jason at the end, but due to horrible fan backlash, they pretended the movie never existed with part 6, because that movie is a follow up to part 4, and ignores all of the events in part 5. Jason Goes to Hell and Jason X are definitely not considered canon, since it wouldn't be logical at all to connect it to the previous movies. They are like Elseworlds tales.

    The Dark Knight

I don't know if I would call it the worst episode either. But, yeah, its definitely in the top 3 or so. I think "The Underdwellers" was worst, but not by much.

    The Dark Knight

Oh god, NO! I can understand why he hates that episode, it was HORRIBLE. Even though I love Batman:The Animated Series, there were some really awful episodes in that series, such as "The Underdwellers", "I've Got Batman in my Basement","Eternal Youth","Cat Scratch Fever", and others.

    The Dark Knight

    Yeah, I agree.

    The Dark Knight

That would be "Catwalk". That episode was awesome. I really don't like the idea of Jolie as Catwoman though. Like someone else said, the lips are too distracting.

    The Dark Knight

I need to go back and watch "What Is Reality", and see if I like it any better. I thought it was just too bizarre or something. Does anyone else think that Catwoman wasn't in very good episodes? The only one she was in that I thought was good was "Catwalk". I might need to go back and watch "The Demon's Quest" too, to see if I like it any better.

    The Dark Knight

I found "Legends of the Dark Knight" to be pointless, and "Over the Edge" was cool for a while until I realized that the events in the episode really couldn't be happening, and then it turned out to be a dream. Sort of like "Perchance to Dream". I haven't seen "Mad Love", but I've heard its great, as it explains how Harley Quinn falls in love with the Joker. There was one hideous episode called "Critters" I think. I don't remember any episodes in Batman: The Animated Series being as bad as that one. Maybe "I've Got Batman in my Basement".

    Friday The 13th (2009)

I don't know why it said it was set between parts 2 and 3. I think it just made a mistake, since everywhere else says its a reboot, and kind of combines elements from the first 3 films.

I think I did hear something about a Supermax movie on Rotten Tomatoes.com

    The Dark Knight

I just thought The New Batman Adventures was a huge step down in quality. The animation sucked, didn't like Tim Drake as Robin, and some of the character's new looks were awful. The Penguin and Scarecrow were the only ones helped by the new look. None of the episodes were as good as the old series either. I mean Batman: The Animated Series was just awesome. It had terrific episodes like "Heart of Ice", "Robin's Reckoning", "The Laughing Fish", etc.

    Impact Spoilers for 7/31

Yes, I know that crap with Jarrett/Hebner/Larry was probably the worst angle they've ever done, but I don't remember the rest of those shows being boring and bad like they are now. It was only 1 hour back then, so it really couldn't get boring. Well, WCW tried this on Fall Brawl 99, and no one gave a shit. Hell, the next night on Nitro, I think Sting pretty much no sold his own heel turn! Goldberg in 2000 no sold his heel turn as well.

    SmackDown Spoilers - August 1, 2008

I actually think this segment sounds very good, and the only thing worth watching on the show, but I understand your point about no one gets anything from beating up Foley. This is why I wonder how Orton ever got popular on the internet. The guy is worthless, yet people thought him beating up Foley was cool or something. It proved nothing. Foley's been retired for years, so why is beating him in a match anything special? So, yeah, I see where your coming from on this.

    Who needs a turn?

Well, yeah, Cena will turn heel someday, but why not just get it over with? Judging from what he's done this year so far, his super push looks like its over. Seriously, I think he's only won 1 major match. That was at One Night Stand against JBL, in a hilariously bad finish. Then he actually JOBS to JBL. I'm sorry, but you can't give a guy a super push when he jobs to JBL. Not to mention, he also jobbed in the Wrestlemania title match too. I think WWE really killed off the Rumble match this year, by having a guy win who was unanounced and at #30, then loses at Wrestlemania.

    The Dark Knight

Blah, I didn't like the New Batman Adventures at all, but Superman: The Animatd Series seemed pretty cool from what I saw of it. I only remember this one episode where Superman fought Metallo, and Metallo tried to drown him in lava. That was real bad ass!

    Mike Adamle: The Thread

Oh, trust me, I always see this stuff a mile away whenever Vince is gone. I always look at my Doomsday clock of when Vince will return, and try to think of what stupid storyline he'll do next to try and draw ratings, gain mainstream fans, and then have it completely backfire on him. Examples: Limo angle/bastard son Hornswoggle.

    Who needs a turn?

See what I mean? Hogan turned heel in 96, and was still a star. If WWE thinks Cena is such a big star, why are they so afraid to turn him heel? Ironically, Hogan turning heel in 96, may have led the gateway to the wrestling boom of the late 90's.

    WrestleMania 25

No way in hell is Orton going to main event. He had a botched push in 04, and was lucky that Cena got hurt to where they had to give him the title. I don't think they were seriously planning last year for him to main event a Wrestlemania, I actually think they were going for a HHH/Cena rematch, but Cena got hurt. Hell, they were going to do that match at Wrestlemania 23, but HHH got hurt. Come to think of it, The only guys you have listed that I think will be in the main event is HHH and Taker. Putting Cena in it is just annoying and not needed, he hasn't done shit since his return, but job to people. HHH is very likely since, well, its HHH having control of a show backstage. I don't think HBK has any momentum to main event, so I don't think he will. Edge most likely will be buried on Smackdown through the rest of the year, and Taker is very likely, since it seems like a running joke that Taker has to win the title at Wrestlemania.

    The Dark Knight

Well, I'm just saying that these characters were there on television for people to watch. I can see why no one's ever heard of Black Mask, since he wasn't featured on the animated series, and the Ventriloquist was only in 2 episodes, so yeah, I can see why no one's heard of them.
