  1. On the conference call, Dana said they were looking for a couple of 24/7-style shows on Spike to build this up. I will be stunned if this does less than 1,000,000 buys.
  2. Because it's playing to Mick's strengths, his promos and his charisma. I agree that it will never top his 2000 run, but who said they would replicate it? TNA frequently rehash WWE angles. This time, they'll actually be able to rehash the angle and use the same person to do so. Anyway, Foley news via F4W: It's Members Only for now, so no link.
  3. If Brock can connect with a punch like he hit Herring with, then Randy is in big trouble. The key is Lesnar being able to actually connect at all. If Lesnar can, which is by no means certain, then it could be a fight deciding move.
  4. Russo has always stated that he doesn't book a character on being a heel or a face, he books a character to do what they would do in that situation. Unfortunately, the way Russo uses this philosophy means that wrestlers often do things that don't make a lot of sense based on what they've done previously and if we're meant to like or hate them. Sting may be a face, but his character believes that these young kids should respect the older wrestlers who have paved the way. Joe is a face, but his character is pissed off at all of the old guys getting the spotlight over him. Now both of those are traits of a heel.. Neither of those is the traits is that of a heel. The motivation? Maybe. But the trait itself isn't. ...but both guys are still (at least in Joe's case - I've not really watched TNA in months, I'm just going from spoilers) faces. Sting turned heel at the last PPV. At least, that was the idea. But given how he was laying out a babyface who just did a heel act of attacking someone after the match, it's hard to figure out how that was meant to turn Sting heel, when he was in the right.
  5. Avoid the unmoderated parts of 'The Board'. It's a complete joke. The moderated parts of the board aren't too bad.
  6. "Who gives a shit about Fedor?" - Brock. A million MMA message board geeks just exploded in rage.
  7. It's glorious watching Sherdog and other boards like it meltdown over this.
  8. I've had to leave one singles wrestler and one tag team off of my three supercards because of how my roster ended up. I had considered doing a years worth of cards, one a month and rotating venues, but I wanted to keep things simple and felt one supercard for each venue was for the best.
  9. It's official for November 15th at the MGM and it will be for the UFC Heavyweight title.
  10. I'm still open to trading The Lords of The Ring and Arik Cannon.
  11. Assuming he's serious about his insistence that Cena isn't over that much, is fading, etc, then I imagine his criteria for being over are whatever it takes to allow him to keep reassuring himself that his perception of Cena's overness is correct, and that everyone else is just too stupid to realize the truth he's been smart enough to see.
  12. He finally felt that his back could stand up to the one match with Hunter and, after praying, he went ahead. Eventually, Shawn decided he could work a limited schedule, and for the most part, since then he's wrestled such a schedule and his back has held up fine.
  13. Meltzer was talking about it on the most recent Observer show, and the anti-MVP talk started after his match with Festus a few weeks ago.
  14. Further proof that Cena just isn't over. I know you mean no offense to the Cena fans.
  15. How is everyone coming in regard to putting together cards using their roster? I've been putting together three cards, one for each of my venues. I've tried to cater to the audience, and I'm very happy with the final results.
  16. Again, a more detailed set of spoilers: F4W
  17. An even more detailed set of spoilers: F4W
  18. It would be pure something, that much is true.
  19. Looking over my roster, I should have picked a team instead of Iizuka for my last pick.
  20. Then I'll add Takashi Iizuka.
  21. I thought we got five wrestlers total rather than five picks?
  22. The Scramble Round begins now, yes? Yoshiaki Fujiwara and Kazuo Yamazaki (former IWGP tag team champions) Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Tsuyoshi Kikuchi (former IWGP Jr Hvy tag team champions) Taiyo Kea
  23. With the scramble round being a free-for-all, there's a distinct possibility that in the time it takes someone to make the post detailing their picks, someone else might have nipped in and taken at least one of their picks off the table.
  24. I'm open to trades for Arik Cannon and Hiromichi Fuyuki.
