  1. COLE Welcome back to HeldDOWN, fans, as we are now ready for our main event. We saw at the start of the show that Zack Malibu and Bohemoth, two men with a friendly rivalry going on, picking each others opponents for this evening. Earlier tonight Bohemoth made it past his former partner, Christian Wright, in a hard fought contest, while Malibu now has to contend with a man he once shared the World Tag Team Titles with, his good friend Leon Rodez! COACH If you ask me, Mikey Cole, Bo made the better choice tonight. Zack picked someone who knows Bo well, no doubt...but he picked someone that Bo now loathes, and when a man that size hates someone enough, he's going to steamroll right over them. Bo came out victorious tonight, but Malibu's back is sorta against the wall here. He has no issues with Leon Rodez, he doesn't have any hatred for Leon Rodez...Leon Rodez is his friend. It'll be a great match fo' sho', but as far as Zack's motivation to win? We saw him bust out that vicious streak when it's needed, against Bruce Blank and against He Who Shall Not Be Named...he ain't gonna do that here, and that could cost him! Trust Company's cover of the famed rock hit "Rock The Casbah" booms over the PA, and the fans erupt, anxiously anticipating this contest. Leon Rodez comes shuffling out from behind the curtain, bopping around the aisleway with a huge smile on his face as he points out a select few of his many fans. BUFFER Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a Pick Your Poison Match, contested under standard one fall to a finish rules. Introducing first, the man selected tonight by the Metrosexual Monster, Bohemoth, to be the opponent for Zack Malibu. He weighs in tonight at two hundred and twenty pounds...hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan...THIS...is LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEON ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODEZZZZZZZZZ! The roar of the fans is heard loud and clear by Leon, who stands on the apron cupping his ear. Rodez slingshots himself over the ropes and runs the ropes, warming up as Malibu's music overpowers his own. Once "Getting Away With Murder" kicks into gear, Malibu steps out and starts his powerwalk to the ring, looking from side to side at the jam-packed crowd that is cheering wildly. BUFFER His opponent, weighing in tonight at two hundred, ten pounds...hailing from Providence, Rhode Island, he has come to be known as the Modern Day Warrior, but more importantly, as the Franchise of the One and Only Anglesault Thread...THIS...is...ZAAAAAAAAAAACK MAAAAAAALLLLLLLLIBUUUUUUUUU! Zack rolls into the ring and kips up to his feet, then points at Leon and waves him on. Zack gives a quick slap of the hand to his former partner, a sign of respect before the contest kicks off. Once the music dies down and the bell rings, we're off and running, as the second part of the Pick Your Poison Challenge starts...NOW! DING! DING! DING! The two friends rush towards each other and tie up, quickly jockeying for position. As they struggle, Leon breaks free of the lockup and uses a go-behind. Malilbu realizes he's trapped in a waistlock and fires an elbow back, but Leon ducks it and breaks the hold! The momentum of firing the elbow back turns Zack towards his opponent, and Leon is quick to use an armdrag, taking his former tag team partner down to the mat! Zack gets right back up, but Leon takes him by the head and wrenches it, only to be shot towards the ropes. Malibu extends an arm and goes for a hiptoss, but Leon blocks the takeover, then tries one of his own, only to have that blocked by Zack! The former World Champion's knee meets Leon's ribs, and then Rodez finds himself taken up for a suplex...but he wriggles free and falls behind Zack, then yanks him to the canvas with a schoolboy! ONE! KICKOUT! Leon, who has been on top of his game thus far, rolls to his feet immediately and backs Zack to the ropes, sending him across the ring...but when he leaps up for a rana, Zack puts on the brakes, and watches as Leon crashes back to the mat! Rodez sits up, dazed from the crash landing, and he's knocked onto his back by a basement dropkick that finds its mark! Rodez knows he can't just lay on the canvas and allow Zack to take over, so he moves to a standing base, favoring his jaw, as Malibu comes at him. Leon reacts, kicking Zack in the ribs and then striking with a set of right hands and pulling Zack into another headlock...but Malibu suplexes him out of it...NO! Leon floats over, landing on his feet...but Zack fires an elbow back that connects this time around, doing no favors for Leon's already sore jaw...and then an enzugiri sends him facefirst into the canvas! COLE Some great counter wrestling here in the early portion, and that's to be expected when you've got former World Tag Team Champions locking up with each other! COACH Bo knew what he was doing when he picked The Silky Smooth One to take on Zack tonight...he knows if anyone has Zack's number, it's the one guy on the active roster who knows him inside and out! Zack helps Leon to his feet, then goes to town on him, allowing hand to meet singlet in the form of some open hand chops. Leon reels and backs himself into the ropes, but won't allow himself to be whipped across the ring when Zack attempts it! Instead, he yanks Zack towards him and elevates him over the ropes, outside of the ring...but Zack lands on the apron! Rodez turns around and catches Zack attempting to springboard in, so he rushes the ropes and shoves Zack down to the apron! Leon then tries for a shoulderblock through the ropes, but Zack sidesteps it, and hits a hard kick to Leon's chest, leaving him dazed as he rests between the top and middle rope. Malibu slingshots over his friend and goes for a sunset flip rollup, but as Leon is about to be taken over, he grabs the top rope with both hands, frees his legs, and delivers a quick double stomp to Zack's chest! Zack grabs at his chest, only for it to be caved in for the second time in under a minute, as Leon hits a back senton, dropping his weight across Zack's upper body! Leon turns over and cradles a leg, looking rather excited as the referee hits the canvas to count. ONE! T-KICKOUT! COLE Zack kicking out once again, but Leon is showing great determination in weakening his former partner. COACH Why not? A win for Leon shoots him right back up the ladder, while Malibu gets knocked down a notch, not to mention that Bo will have one up on him after winning earlier tonight. After being brought up, Malibu gets snapmared over, and Leon connects with a hard soccer kick to the back before dropping to one knee and trapping Malibu in a rear chinlock, pressing the point of his knee between Malibu's shoulder blades. Zack squirms, feeling as uncomfortable as he looks, but manages to make it to his feet and take Leon over with a fireman's carry. Rodez hurries up, but Zack runs him chest first into the corner, then spins him around and connects with forearms across the jaw, then sends Rodez zooming across the ring against his will, towards the opposite corner! Malibu turns and follows, but before Leon hits he leaps up and lands on the second turnbuckle with cat like agility, and leaps back with a flying bodypress...but Zack ducks under it, runs up the ropes, and hits a twisting frog splash mere seconds after Leon has crash landed! ONE! TWO! NO! COLE Leon Rodez proving to be just as resilient as Zack Malibu, kicking out of that high impact splash! Malibu rolls off and goes for the legs, pulling up Leon's weaker leg and delivering a pair of kicks to the back of the knee before Leon kicks him away with his free leg. Zack comes forward, but Leon rolls onto all fours and knocks Zack's legs out from under him. Malibu rolls to his feet, as Leon comes forward with a slight limp, connecting with an overhand right! He pulls Zack in and hammers on his back with forearms, then sets him up for a suplex...but Malibu kicks his legs, shifting the weight! Zack then goes for a suplex on Leon, but Leon uses the same tactic as Zack, and it pays off, as Zack is unable to get Leon up and over! They break, and Leon pops up with a jab, and another, and another, and another! Four jabs find their mark as Malibu is dazed, and Leon goes for an enzugiri...but Malibu ducks! Leon belly flops onto the canvas, and Zack reaches down and hoists him up to his feet, then tries to lift him with a German Suplex, but Leon elbows out, reaches back, and then drops down so that Zack's jaw shatters on the crown of Leon's head! The move sends Zack spilling through the ropes, but he lands on the apron! Leon comes over and stuns Zack further, hitting a double ear clap before dropkicking Malibu's legs out from under him, causing him to drop to the floor and whack his chin on the apron! Leon then races to the ropes and connects with a baseball slide that sends Malibu staggering back into the guardrail. Leon perches himself on the apron, and as Malibu shakes off the attack, dives off with a Thesz Press that puts Zack on the floor! Leon pops up and pumps his fists, while the majority of the crowd shares his enthusiasm as he takes on the OAOAST's most beloved son. COACH Leon just wiped Zack out, and don't it seem to you, Cole, that Zack is holding back a little bit? COLE That's a valid point, Coach. We've seen some great counter wrestling, but as far as the gritty determination usually shown by Malibu, it's missing tonight. Malibu knows that Leon is an obstacle, but I think he's putting friendship first, which is certainly honorable, but won't mean a thing for his win/loss record! Leon pulls Zack up, but as he does, Zack blasts him with a knee to the ribs, then takes his head and slams it into the ring apron! With Leon stunned, Zack hops up on the apron and pulls Leon up with him, striking him with knife edge chops as they balance themselves on the apron...and Leon fights back with chops of his own! Leon leans over the top rope so that it shifts him up and over, floating back into the ring on his feet, and from there he tries a dropkick on Zack that gets swatted down! Zack then slingshots up onto the ropes and springboards in, catching Leon with a bulldog mere seconds after he got back on his feet! ONE! TWO! KICKOUT! Knowing enough to keep the momentum in his favor, Zack brings Leon up and pushes him into the corner, then climbs onto the middle rope and starts working him over with punches, all while the crowd enjoys their shot at interaction. ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! FIVE! SIX! SEVEN! At that point, Leon has had enough, and throws Malibu down to the canvas, but Zack quickly rolls through and gets up, charging in with a full head of steam...right into a back elbow! Leon then takes the stunned Malibu and hooks him for a tornado DDT...but in mid-rotation, Zack shoves HIM off, and when his body raises up, so does his foot, as he goes for SCHOOL'S OUT...NO! Leon catches the boot and throws it down, only for Malibu to follow up with a discus clothesline, which is ducked by Leon, who uses a quick go-behind and brings Zack crashing down on the back of his head with a German suplex! ONE! TWO! T-KICKOUT! COLE THERE'S more of that great counter-wrestling from these two! They know each other so well, it's tough to gain an advantage here in this contest! Leon, almost in a mimicking of his friend-slash-opponent, rolls Zack to his feet while holding onto the waistlock. Zack reaches and tries to break Leon's grip, but when he's unable to do that, he fires back a pair of elbows, then uses a go-behind of his own, but as he does Leon drops to the mat, kicks his legs up, and hooks them around Zack's arms, pulling him down into a cradle rollup! ONE! TWO! TH-NO! COACH Close call there, Mikey Cole! As both scramble back up, Leon grabs Zack by the wrist and shoots him to the corner, then charges in and hits his own patented Superman Spear, knocking the wind out of the former World Champion! The New-Age Love Machine then leads the other half of The Usual Suspects out of the corner and shoots him into the ropes, then somersaults towards him before popping up and nailing Zack with a hard lariat that puts him down! COLE A Superman Spear-Shack Attack combo, and Leon Rodez is heating things up on HeldDOWN~! Groggy, Malibu crawls towards the ropes, but Leon grabs him and hits a scoop slam, setting Zack up near one of the corners. Leon turns and starts climbing the ropes, but before he can set himself, Zack pops up and manuevers under Leon, putting the Grand Rapids Golden Child on his shoulders! Zack steps back from the corner, but before he can be dropped involuntarily, Leon spins himself into a sunset flip, bringing Zack down into a pin attempt that Leon himself breaks, as he switches gears and tries for a Liontamer! COLE If he turns him over, this could be it! COACH I don't know, Mikey...Leon didn't really target the legs much, and you know that Zacky boy has a ton of leg strength! COLE Coach, you're on a roll with the facts tonight...however even if it doesn't get the win, it could weaken Zack's legs enough to cut a lot of his offense out of the playbook! Zack won't keep still, fighting from being turned over, until finally, Leon manages to roll Zack over into his trademark submission! Some fans roar, some boo, as the crowd is conflicted watching two of their most beloved go at it in the main event tonight, while Zack Malibu struggles to free himself from the hold! COLE The ropes aren't too far away, if Zack can just get to them he can get the break! COACH How much will it take out of him though, Cole? They've been going at it for a while now, not to mention the job of weakening Zack the Liontamer is doing right now! Zack squirms, as Leon desperately tries to keep hold...but after a few moments of flailing, Zack is just barely able to grab onto the bottom rope. Referee Robinson immediately calls for a break, and gets it, as Leon isn't about to abuse the rulebook, and certainly not against one of his best friends. Zack uses the ropes to pull himself up to his feet, and Leon actually gives him the space to do so...but when Zack turns around, he's rocked with an inverted atomic drop! Leon puts Zack in his clutches and goes for his STO backbreaker, but Zack drives the point of his elbow into the side of Leon's head, then sends him hard into the corner, and follows up immediately with a ZACK ATTACK II, driving both of his knees into Leon's chest...and as Malibu lands back on his feet, he limps slightly, visibly worn a bit from the Liontamer mere moments ago! Malibu then blasts Leon with a European uppercut while he's slumped against the turnbuckles, then sets him up on the top rope. Malibu climbs up the ropes, but Leon still has enough strength to club Zack in the ribs and shove him off, sending Zack crashing back-first to the canvas! With the wind knocked out of him, Zack has nowhere to go, as Leon perches himself up on the top rope and leaps off, rotating his body in the air before coming down hard...ON THE MAT! ZACK MALIBU AVOIDS THE 450 SPLASH! COACH I give it an 8. The execution was perfect but the landing was a little rough. Both are groggy, and get back up to their vertical base...and Malibu pulls Leon down into a small package, rolling him up for the pin while Leon is defenseless! ONE! TWO! THR-NO! COLE A missed 450 Splash certainly jarred Leon Rodez, but not enough for Zack Malibu to get the pin! Leon kicks out, and both men are up, trading hard chops with each other, each doing their best to try and wear the other down. Leon gets the upper hand, his chops connecting faster and harder than Zack's do, finally knocking him on his back! Zack gets back up to his feet and charges, and finds himself backdropped over by Leon, leaving him looking at the lights once again! Leon goes and picks Zack up, lifting him up for a back suplex that he turns into his trademark blue thunder bomb...but at the last second, Zack counters it and takes Leon over with a rana! Leon hurries to his feet and charges blindly, going for Zack...but winds up charging into the sole of his boot, as Zack connects with a School's Out that drops Leon like a sack of bricks! Zack falls on top of Leon, and remembers to hook the leg, as Robinson darts in for the count! ONE! TWO! THREE! DING! DING! DING! "Getting Away With Murder" signals the victory, as does the raising of Zack's hand by Charles Robinson. Exhausted, Malibu salutes the crowd that is egging him on, as he paces the ring, taking a few deep breaths after having just exhausted himself against one of the OAOAST's best. As Robinson tends to Leon, helping him up, Zack comes over and gives him a hand. When the dizzy Rodez is up to his feet, Malibu gives him a handshake and an embrace, drawing another loud pop from the crowd for their show of sportsmanship. COLE Bohemoth knew that by putting one of Zack's friends in front of him it might be a tougher obstacle for him to overcome, and Leon certainly gave Zack the fight of his life tonight. Still, both Zack and Bo chalk up another win for each of their records, as the little competition is still neck and neck! COACH The path back to the World Title, or in Bo's case the path to his first World Championship is going to be a rocky road, but what an effort from both of these guys, as well as their opponents tonight. Leon raises Zack's hand, motioning for the crowd to show respect for his friend and former tag partner. Zack thanks Leon for his courtesy, and then the two exit the ring, both heading towards the back for some rest and relaxation after an amazing contest. COLE The poison's were picked tonight, but victory was the andidote for both Zack Malibu and Bohemoth. What else lays in store for Zack and Bo, as well as the rest of the OAOAST as we head towards Anglepalooza and the Lethal Rumble? Tune in next week to find out. Until then, I'm Michael Cole, for the Coach, signing off!
  2. One thing a buddy of mine and I noticed...if anyone has the Free Comic Day Spider-Man issue from this year, go back and take a look at it, and check out the superhero "Jackpot" that shows up in the book. Potential hint at the reality we're facing in the book now?
  3. According to Douglas, he was going to get a big push as a babyface rock star type, somewhat similar to what Shawn Michaels wound up becoming. Jimmy Hart had recorded a song and IIRC a music video vignette for the push and everything. As a young mark for Douglas back then, I remember pulling for him to win the Rumble, because as an impressionable 9 year old I fully admit at one point liking the Dynamic Dudes.
  4. This thread is like my music collection in video form. Surprised to see No Mercy on here. A cousin of mine who worked with Stevie B. (anyone into 80's and 90's dance music, perhaps Czech, would know him) also did work with them around the time of their mainstream popularity. Lastly, some contributions/personal favorites from me: http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRh2Cz8vjd4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezvdSDykri0
  5. Awesome. I've finished the season out thanks to the leaked finale, so I'll hold back on commentary until it's aired, but I have to say I absolutely loved this season.
  6. The big man, Bohemoth, sits backstage taping up his wrists as we return to this edition of HeldDOWN~! The Metrosexual Monster is prepared for battle tonight, the next chapter in his ongoing "competition" with fellow superstar Zack Malibu. As Bo readies himself for the upcoming match, Malibu walks into the room, causing Bo to get up and shake the hand of his peer. MALIBU What's going on, big man? BO Just getting ready for my match, ready to show you how I do things tonight. MALIBU Oh, I look forward to it....but, uh, you know Bo...they won't all be like this. Bo smiles slyly. BO No, no they won't. It's only gonna get tougher from here on out. MALIBU You're down for that though, right? BO Who challenged who here, Malibu? MALIBU Ease up, big man...I'm not here to get under your skin. I told you, I'm down for proving myself all over again, to you and to everyone else. I was never given a handout at any point, and I'm not about to take them now. The Conquistadors are one thing, but sooner or later it's gonna be crunch time. It's gonna be the Todd Cortez's and the Landon Maddix's and the Alfdogg's and whoever else gets thrown in the way. You and me, we're both out for the same thing, and sooner or later we're not going to have to worry about anybody else except each other. Bo hears Malibu loud and clear, and for a moment, things get a bit tense. BO Then I guess I'll see you when we get there. MALIBU You're damn right, big man. Good luck tonight. BO I think you better go wish that to the Conquistadors first, Preppy. Malibu and Bo chuckle at the wisecrack, and Malibu pats the big brute on the shoulder before heading off, leaving Bo to finish getting ready as we cut to break.
  7. Joe Applebaumer as in Pogo The Clown?
  8. Hey There Delilah is from '05, and Paramore shouldn't count for best new artist either, as their debut release was in '05 as well.
  9. COLE Welcome back to HeldDOWN~!, folks! Michael Cole alongside the Coach here, and if you're just joining us, we've added a match to the broadcast that wasn't on our original card. Zack Malibu arrived here tonight looking to get a few things off his chest regarding our, ahem, beloved World Heavyweight Champion and his recent successful defense in the Triple Cage Match at this years November Reign event. Zack was stopped backstage by Bohemoth, another competitor in that matchup, who laid out a challenge for Malibu. Bo stated that he felt that Zack should prove himself once again, and work his way back up the ladder just as anyone else would do, and it was there that the challenge was set. Zack Malibu and Bohemoth, two men who valiantly struggled to become the OAOAST World Champion, will both start working their way back up the ladder, making their way through the superstars of the OAOAST until one of them is able to secure a World Championship match! COACH A bit of friendly competition to spice things up here in the OAOAST Mikey Cole, and who knew that it was gonna start tonight, because Zack Malibu faces his first obstacle in getting back to the top of the mountain in the form of Conquistador Uno! COLE A little one-sided, but we all have to start somewhere. Already in the ring, Uno is flanked by his partner Dos, who encourages his partner to win one, since the number of checkmarks in the win column of Los Conquistadors isn't all that impressive. "Getting Away With Murder" hits, and out to the ring comes the OAOAST's favorite son, welcomed by a tremendous reaction from the crowd. BUFFER Introducing the opponent, he hails from Providence, RI. Weighing in at two hundred and ten pounds, this is ZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLIBUUUUUUUUUUUUU! The fans roar as Zack hops up onto the apron, then climbs the ropes to get a better view of his supporters. Malibu then hops into the ring, cracking his neck as he paces, waiting for the bell to ring. Dos gives Uno one last bit of advice, and whether it's going to work or not is about to be found out, as the bell sounds! COLE Here we go! Zack Malibu's quest to regain the World Title starts here and now against a rather unlikely opponent. COACH In this place, anything's possible, Mikey Cole. COLE It's a belief system like that that explains why you've still got a job, Coach. COACH ... Immediately, Zack locks Uno in a collar and elbow tie up, but the feisty luchadore uses a quick go-behind, pinning Zack's arm against the small of his back with a hammerlock! Zack braces himself, then fires back a hard elbow, catching Uno in the face and causing an immediate break! Zack then reaches back and snapmares Uno over, and backs up as his opponent starts to rise up off the mat...then absolutely CRACKS him with a SCHOOL'S OUT the moment he gets to his feet! COACH ...ALREADY!? Malibu jumps on top of Uno and hooks the leg, waiting for Charles Robinson to make the academic three count, as the fans are going batshit for Malibu's patented finisher. ONE! TWO! THREE! DING*DING*DING COLE Well, we...we barely got a word in edgewise. I think Zack's walk to the ring took longer than that match! "Getting Away With Murder" is cued up again, almost as quickly as it had faded out. Malibu gets his hand raised to the crowd's delight, while Dos slides into the ring, as shocked as everyone else as he kneels beside his partner, slapping his face trying to get him to come to. Malibu turns and looks back at the damage he's done before exiting the ring, and as he makes his way up the aisle, he sees Bo at the entranceway, clapping for him. COACH So is Bo Zack's new motivational speaker or something? COLE In a way you could say that, because this little challenge of his has certainly lit a fire under The Franchise! Zack comes up the aisle and doesn't stop, choosing to walk right past Bo...then he backsteps and holds up one finger (no, not like that!), signifying that Malibu's already got one victory as a part of the deal the two made no more than an hour earlier. Bo nods at Zack and watches as he disappears behind the curtain, then does so himself as we cut to break.
  10. The backstage hallways are filled with OAOAST talent and staff, and at this moment no less a talent that Zack Malibu himself walks with a purpose through the backstage area...that is until an arm stretches out and stops him in his path! Malibu turns to the individual off camera who interrupted his stroll, and it's none other than the Metrosexual Monster himself, Bohemoth! BO Whoa...where you going, preppy? MALIBU Out to the ring. I've got a bone to pick about the way the end to the Triple Cage Match went down at November Reign, and figured what better place than here on HeldDOWN~! to air that grievance. Bo softly chuckles to himself, shaking his head. BO That's funny, because I've got a bit of an issue with how things went down that night myself. MALIBU Do you? BO Yeah...namely for the fact that I'd be World Champion if it wasn't for getting my jaw rattled like a baby's toy thanks to someone's superkick. MALIBU Hang on...you're bitching about getting superkicked? Bo, I don't have time... BO No, you do have the time. We're right here, right now, so just listen. I'll give you the chance to talk, but you need to open your ears first! Malibu is half angry, half shocked at the snap from the normally reserved hoss, but he respectfully remains silent, choosing to hear Bo out. BO I know why you're here tonight, Zack. You're going to go out to the ring and cry foul, find some way, some excuse to stay in the title hunt. Last time I checked, you've lost all your recent title opportunities. Your not exactly batting 1000 in title matches, but yet you always find a way. Now I know you've been screwed in the past by Popick, by Maddix, by PRL...but instead of whining about it, DO something about it! I've been in this company for almost three years now, and you and I, we haven't always seen eye to eye. Right now, we're more or less on the same side of things, but I'm not going to let that get in the way of how I feel. I bust my ass just like anyone else to get to where I'm at, and I got a shot to be in that Triple Cage Match. Now neither one of us walked out with the belt that night, but do you see me going out there and cutting a promo on why I should be the champion? No, because I'm gonna get back in the ring and earn the right to fight for it again. I'll go through anyone and everyone on the roster, and I'm challenging you, Zack, to do the same. ZACK You know, Bo, you make some good points. My being screwed though, that's not an excuse, or even a reason to want another title shot. It goes back to the aWo days, to Popick, to your old buddy, and you know who I'm talking about...this is a company that I helped build, and I EARNED the right to be called its Franchise. I earned the right to be the face of this company by busting my ass for the last five and a half years, going to hell and back whether it was for a belt, for this company, or for my own personal pride. I am tired of this company being represented by people who treat that belt as a trophy, disregarding what it truly means to be a champion. What you just said to me...it took balls, my friend. It took balls, and it showed you have heart, and that you're not out for the quick fix. So you know what...challenge accepted. If you're going to build yourself back up, then so am I. Now it's just a matter of who gets there first. With that, Zack extends his hand, and Bo accepts, shaking on their little agreement. BO Even if you get there first, Zack, I won't be far behind. MALIBU Likewise, big man. Likewise. Zack pats Bo on the shoulder and walks off, as Bo watches and smirks, then turns and goes his own way.
  11. Because he defeated his cohort in a match?
  12. A follow up to this...can anyone suggest a lowercard heel for me for a match on HD?
  13. Definitely something this week from Zack, as I got caught up in the holiday rush at work last week. It'll be worth it, trust me!
  14. Fallout from the cage match, featuring Zack~!
  15. Surprising story, that's for sure. I was actually going to go see these guys about 2 weeks ago, but worked some overtime and missed out on the show.
  16. Can't believe I forgot to mention the Police Academy movies. Those were essentials for me as a kid. Jones was always my favorite. It was awesome seeing him in the new Geico (IIRC) commercial.
  17. The Garbage Pail Kids Movie Masters Of The Universe Revenge Of The Ninja (the first R-Rated movie I ever saw) Revenge of the Nerds 1 and 2 Back To School Child's Play Friday The 13th Part 6: Jason Lives The Wraith The Terminator Fraternity Vacation The Toxic Avenger Gremlins I'm sure there's probably a few I'm forgetting, but these are the main ones. Especially the GPK movie (The troubles I had obtaining this movie for my own spanned years) and Child's Play (the only horror movie to truly scare the piss out of me, which wound up with me not seeing any Child's Play movies until I was a teenager. Of course it's mostly because my older cousin found it funny to place a My Buddy doll on the couch near me as I watched it).
  18. Now that all six men are in the ring, they face off with each other. On one side of the ring stands Malibu, Bohemoth and Cortez. On the opposite side, the group with minimal, if any fan support: PRL, Maddix, and the World Champion himself. A combination of former champions and those who have come *thisclose* to the belt in the past, they all take note that the biggest prize in wrestling is currently hanging some 30ft. in the air...and they have to make their way up this brutal contraption to claim it. *DING* *DING* *DING* We're off, and no sooner has the bell sounded than the six men pair off, scrambling to be the first to gain some type of advantage in this enviroment. Cortez and Maddix face off, as do Popick and Malibu, and as they brawl back and forth they wind up battling in the corners. PRL and Bo remain at center ring, and when two forearms to the chest barely make Bo flinch, PRL gets floored by a standing clothesline, then pulled up off the mat while he's still woozy. After being sent to the ropes, Tha Puerto Rican finds himself a few feet closer to the championship gold...but that's because Bo is pressing him overhead, almost nonchalantly, before dropping him facefirst to the canvas! COLE That remarkable power advantage is one thing that the other five men need to watch out for, and PRL just found out the hard way! Bo pulls PRL up, but Tha Puerto Rican pushes Bo away, then hits a quick dropkick that staggers Bo, sending him through the ropes...and when Bo drags himself to his feet, PRL snaps his head over the top rope, which sends Bo to the floor! PRL smirks at his deed, but he's soon quick to join Bo, as Cortez and Malibu team up, rushing the leader of the Lightning Crew and nailing him with a double clothesline that sends him tumbling over the top! COACH Did they miss the memo that this isn't under Battle Royal rules? With Bo and PRL dazed at ringside, Malibu slingshots himself over onto the apron and takes position, looking to nail them with his trademark Apron Run Diving Clothesline...but as he races across the apron, he's nailed with a lariat from Cortez, who bounces off the ropes inside the ring and nails Zack on the outside! Zack falls and rolls back into the ring, while Cortez is the one who executes a dive, going over the ropes with a pescado onto the two challengers on the floor! Back in the ring, Zack gets up but is met with a boot from Maddix, and then he and Popick double up and hit Zack with a double-team suplex, putting him back on the canvas! Maddix goes after Zack again, but when he does Popick spins him around and rakes his eyes, then shoots him to the ropes...but Maddix reverses! Popick clings to the ropes, and when Maddix charges he winds up going up and over, as Popick sends him crashing down onto the rest of the people at ringside! Popick surveys the scene, and then goes to climb the turnbuckles...but once he's on the top rope, Malibu comes from behind and knocks his legs out from under him! Popick falls hard onto the top rope, and Malibu climbs up the ropes, and ONTO POPICK'S BACK, using his rival as a launchpad to dive onto the rest of his opponents! COLE If this is what people mean by Crash TV, they're certainly getting their money's worth! Cortez is the first one up from the floor, and gets back into the ring. Popick eases himself off the ropes, still favoring his "little friends"...and Cortez takes note of that, because his first move on offense is his patented inverted atomic drop! Popick reels, and winds up struck with another one...and stumbles backwards into Bo, who has also returned to the ring. Popick glances back over his shoulder and looks as if he's ready to cry, while Bo shoves him forward into a THIRD inverted atomic drop, which is followed by a full nelson slam from Bohemoth! Popick rolls off to the side, while Cortez opens fire on Bo, throwing kicks at his leg to try and knock him off balance...but when he tries one too many times, Bo captures the leg, grabs Todd by the throat with his free hand, and hurls him backwards into the corner! Cortez bounces off the turnbuckles, then gets sandwiched by a running lariat before getting placed on the top rope. Bo climbs up after him, but Cortez punches wildly, trying to back him away...and it works! Bo goes off balance, falling to the mat, and when he gets up he's quickly snapped back to the canvas by Maddix's Russian leg sweep...and PRL caps that off with a springboard senton that crushes the big man! PRL rolls to his feet, but immediately gets dropped with an STO from Maddix, who in turn gets nailed with a springboard dropkick from Malibu! COACH It's like a game of dominoes in there, Cole! One falls, they all fall, one after the other! COLE It's literally a fight to the top here tonight, and the sooner you can take one, two, or all of your opponents out, the better. Imagine what it's going to be like having to be trapped in one of the higher cages, battling for the belt! With everyone scattered about on the canvas, Zack heads back to the floor for a ladder that will aid him in moving to the next level of the cage. Malibu pulls a ladder up, but as he pulls it up to his chest, he's nailed with a baseball slide by Cortez! Zack falls into the steel wall, while Cortez yanks the ladder away from him and slides it in. Cortez opens fire on Zack, nailing him with some hard fists and then a European uppercut! Zack falls to the floor, allowing Cortez to return to the ring. When he does, he picks up the end of the ladder, looking to set it up...but Landon grabs the other end, trying to pry it out of Todd's hands! They both pull, looking to claim the ladder for their own...but when PRL comes charging both men raise the ladder up and crack the Spanish sensation in the forehead with the ladder! COLE Break out the Advil! Cortez loses his grip on the ladder after that shot, and Maddix takes control of the steel implement, setting it up so that he can try to get into Level 2. Maddix starts climbing up one side, while Cortez races up the other...but the ladder starts teetering as they get to the top, because the Metrosexual Monster heaves it over! Cortez and Landon both don't want to fall, so they act quickly, both grabbing onto the roof of the cage, dangling in the air as the ladder falls, resting on the ropes! COACH They're stuck in the air! Cortez and Landon continue their fight, each man trying to kick the other down...but Bo ends that by reaching up and yanking both men to the canvas! Cortez and Landon both land on their feet, and find themselves with Bo's hand wrapped around their throats! The former Martial Law once again act as a team, both nailing Bo with a kick to the stomach at the same time and then take him by the head, snapping him onto his back! Landon then takes Cortez and bodyslams him onto Bo, then orders Cortez to get up and do the same thing with Landon. Cortez calls Landon on and obliges, but as he lifts Landon, Maddix squirms free, spins Todd around, and jabs a thumb in his eye before running him facefirst into the turnbuckle! COLE That snake in the grass! That's as close as you'll ever get to seeing Martial Law in action again, I promise you that! Landon blocks Todd in the corner, cutting him off from the rest of the ring, and stomps him down.
  19. Indeed, it is B-Boy.
  20. The plan for Santino was for him to be a modern day Taz/UFC style worker. Heyman was going to build him into a character for Punk to feud with in ECW before he quit/got sent home. Cody Rhodes has essentially gotten Santino's underdog/plucky babyface gimmick. Between the obvious choice of going there simply for work, Carlito has worked with Dutch Mantell in Puerto Rico numerous times, plus with TNA in Florida it'd be incredibly easy for him to work both there and home again. I'd say he heads there as soon as he's able. For some reason I can see a Kazarian/Carlito feud in the mid/upper midcard.
  21. Zack Malibu

    Christmas music

I actually found a mix from December of last year that has "Last Christmas" and "Christmas In Hollis" on it. However, my favorite always has and will be the Chipmunk Song.
  22. Theme song for the event, which I find is fitting for the Thanksgiving tradition, is "Thank Fr The Mmrs" by Fall Out Boy.
  23. 99% certain he can't use any form of a King/royalty gimmick, as it would be too similar to King Booker, which would be WWE intellectual property (unless they didn't actually trademark it, given that the "King" moniker/gimmick in wrestling has been done for ages). It's likely one of those situations where a similar gimmick would result in legal action, like how if Undertaker were to leave WWE ever, he couldn't use any "undead" characteristics. He'll likely just be Booker T., but Booker himself said that the King gimmick was fun for him, so he's probably worked on something to give him a bit of an edge for the debut. I also foresee a Sharmell/Karen catfight, which'll probably give us a mixed tag on the ensuing PPV or TV.
  24. Ditto on the clearing out of the inbox!
