Vince doesn't even have to answer to the minority stock holders though, every time they have a conference call for stock holders, at least one person calls in complaining about the product and asking why it has not improved, and Linda Mcmahon always espouses the same company line that Vince spouted in this interview, and then they start telling their own stock holders only to ask questions related to the financial and buisness aspect of the company, not about the creative end.

Super Turrican was a Euro-Only release towards the end of the systems life, it's not a particularly good one, so it's just as well. Uforia on the other hand is an awesome game that unfortuanatly never made it out of Europe and Australia.

It's that kind of complacent thinking that least to a stale and uninspiring product. At this point, I don't expect anything out of the main event, as long as I get my fix of Eddie, Rey, and Benoit, and my Saturday night Paul London match, I'm set. THe main shows could be terrible for all I care.

I still don't think WWE has anything to worry about. WWE still has a non-stop constant stream of dedicated hardcore marks that will always buy the PPVs, always watch TV, and always buy the merchandise, I work with at least 2 or 3 of them. No other promotion could really say that. Prior to the NWO angle, WCW never made any money because they didn't have that dedicated fanbase, just a very small contingent of fans down south that were loyal to Ric Flair, but that still wasn't enough to pop any massive ratings or buyrates. ECW had a similar hardcore fanbase not unlike what WWE still has and will likely always have, but they simply tried to grow faster then their small fanbase and weren't able to contain themselves anymore.

But that's just the way it's always gone, you get one good idea or one big drawing wrestler and you run it into the ground untill it doesn't draw anymore. It's just that some wrestlers have longer legs as drawing cards then others

and I completely agree with him. WWE has had boneheaded writers and bookers long before any children or would be in-laws stepped up to the writing block, the next big success that makes wrestling popular again never comes from the writers, it just comes from the right worker with the right gimmick and the right charisma at the right time, if the crowd really digs a worker like Rock or Austin, no amount of shitty booking can overcome that. Even when WWF was at their highest level of success from 1998-2001, for every awesome Steve Austin storyline or Rock promo we had on every show, will still had to deal with big black body builders having sex with transsexuals, Evil Japanese guys castrating porn stars, and zombies crucifying people. I truely think the buisness IS ebb and flow.

He probobly would have been kept as a high mid-carder, and eventually been fed to Hogan or Warrior.

I saw this tonight right before Robots, it was pretty damn sweet. This is gonna be one hell of a movie.

Meh, I'm sure with proper booking, you can have JBL retain the belt at WM and still have Cena come out looking strong, which is probobly what they will do, and is what they should do. I could care less about Orton, job him to Undertaker for all I care.

But lower cost of living also means lower pay. I make 8 dollars an hour right now for a job here in Connecticut. The same job in Flordia would probobly only pay 6.50
-
I can actually vouch for him on that one, if you're 22, don't have a good paying, full time job, living on your own is nearly impossible. I've looked through the apartments for rent section of the newspaper, and I can tell you that even the most dilapidated projects in the ghetto require you to either be on Welfare, Work 2 Full Time Jobs, or have 4 other Roomates to afford to pay rent every month. Most guys in the early to mid-20's don't WANT to continue living with their parents, they simply can't afford NOT to.

See, now this is the thing, I fall between the two categories of your average college student. I don't drink or party, it's just not my thing, but at the same time, I only do the bare minimum as far as academics go. I'm just more of a TV / Video Games kind of guy, which is probobly the worst type of personality to have at college, because there's really no reason for you to be there if you're not a socialite, and you're not a brain.

This is an unfortunate problem a lot of people face. You go through 4 expensive years of college and get a sheet of paper that declares you educationally (is that a word?) certified for an entry level position in your chosen field. Unfortunatly, a lot of people soon discover that either A. The abhor whichever field they've chosen, or more likely, B. They simply can't find a job doing whatever it is they went to school to do. Now, no one ever said you have to like your job, but you've got to do what makes you happy. Personally, I would take a job I like and makes me happy, but only makes me enough money to live confortably, and little more, over a job that I hate but gives me tons of m oney that I won't know what to do with. Anyone that tells you to do great things with your life is dellusional, just do what makes you happy.

Why am I doing this? I'm currently in my second semester of my first year of college, and I just can't stand being here. I was sitting in my three hour Lifespan Development class, and all I could thinka bout is how I had no idea what the professor was lecturing about, and not really caring either. My education is currently being paid for by my parents, so I feel I owe it to them to at least pass my classes, but it's not like I have a choice. They want me to go to school, and I can't even imagine what would happen if I told them I didn't want to go anymore, or that I was planning not to. Currently, on top of school, I work a nearly full time schedule at a movie theater, although last year I only brought in an income in the low 10,000's, this year with a promotion and a raise, I will likely end this year in the mid-20'000's. Quite frankly as pathetic and stupid as this sounds, I would be more then happy if this was what I did for the rest of my life. I'm going to school to become a teacher, but I don't want to teach, I don't know what I want to do as far as real viable careers go. Is this just a temporary feeling? Is there a point when a person just suddenly grows up and decides it's time to move on from your high school level job and go on to greater things? I can't afford to live without my parents at the moment, but I'm not happy with my current situation either. Should I just grit my teeth, finish school, and just move on from there? Is it true that if you skip a year of school, it's almost impossible to motivate yourself to return? What do you think?

Thanks a lot for posting this, I needed a good laugh. This is the funniest thing I've seen in a while.

Ya, I have it. I'll upload it tonight once I get home. Thanks a ton

What if you already have The Rise and Fall DVD? Then you should probobly order the Pay Per View and just record it off TV.
-
Absolutly not. I hate all forms of forced education, and even now in College, I dread every minute of every class, and simply attend to please my financial backers, aka my parents. If It was up to me, I'd work my job full time, and although I wouldn't be living comfortably by any means, I could make it.

Did anyone here ever try dialing Mean Gene's WCW Hotline (1-900-909-9900) or the WWF Superstar Line (The number to which escapes me now)? Did they really delivered what they promised? Did Mean Gene really tell you about huge star in the rival promotion making the jump to WCW soon? Were they all kayfabed? I imagine the old WWF numbers that used to be available during PPVs was probobly nothing but kayfabed interviews. Anyone have an experiences to share?

I know it's an unlikely longshot, but would anyone happen to have The Huckster vs Nacho Man match?

Despite going off the air well over 10 years ago, Macgyver still maintains a pretty strong cult following of fans obsessed with all things Macgyver. I personally was never really interested in the show untill a friend convinced me to watch it with him one day, and I was hooked. Apparently the show is still wildly popular because when the DVD set came out, it was at least a week before I was able to find a copy when Wal-Mart restocked it. Despite the over the top rediculousness of the stories and Macgyver-isms, something about the show causes it to still remain entertaining today, in a day with more then a dozen nearly identical cop dramas on every network. Am I crazy, are there other Macgyver fans here? Season 2 comes out June 17th BTW.

Is there anything Tarantino ISN'T rumored to be in talks to direct these days? I'll believe it when I see it.

I think it very well may be one of the ONLY clean losses Hogan has ever had period.
