Still no specs and box art for Team America, huh?
-
That's how many there were last year.
-
Meh, I have cash too. For that matter I could sell it on eBay.
-
I have a master of 1993 that I....might be willng to part with. You got anything interesting to give me in return?
-
The names that were announced on Smackdown so far are: Mr. Wonderful Iron Sheik Nikolai Volkoff Cowboy Bob Orton Jimmy Hart I agree with all so far, but Nikolai? Meh, memorable gimmick, but never really rose above the level of B Show jobber.
-
Why not? Most of the major stars of the 60's and 70's have been inducted, and we've already named most of the really big main event names from the 80's that still have to be inducted, so why not have significant mid-card guys too? Guys like The Nasty Boys, Earthquake, The Rougeus, Curt Hennig, Mike Rutundo, Matt Borne and others were just as important as anyone else.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8164042461&rd=1 Yep, I'd say so.
-
Rick Martel? Life long mid-carder. Too many better options before he should get there. Try again in 20011. Koko B. Ware? A low card comedy act? WTF? Dude, you have John Tenta on your list, for no other reason that he's sick & happens to be a nice guy. Hey, he may not have been a master of Technical wrestling, but John Tenta was always an entertaining character. Whether he was a face or a heel, he was always over no matter where he was, simply because of his size. Even as badly as WCW tried to bury the guy, he still would get a louder pop then half the roster at the time. Earthquake deserves to be in the HOF just as much as JYD or John Studd do.
-
The game is scarce and (or at least was before being re-released) in demand, so 60 bucks is generally what it goes for. Still cheaper then trying to get a copy of Megaman X3
-
Why not just induct all the Hart Foundation, Bret, Owen, Neidhart, Bulldog, and Pillman
-
I hope to hell he does. How long does Tenta have anyway? He still gives semi-regular updates on the Wrestlecrap message board. According to his update around last August he was given 15-18 months, and subsequent updates haven't been much better *A-Hem* Mr. T anyone?
-
The Iron Shiek introduced by Muhammed Hassan would be great.

Dean Malenko giving Scotty Too Hotty the DDT off the top rope at Backlash 2001
-
WWE.com mentions that they'll be announced tomorrow. Any chance Vince will induct Earthquake so that he can make one last appearence?
-
As bad as things are, if they combined the two rosters again, it would just be worse. It would take the worst parts of RAW and the worst parts of Smackdown and give us all twice as much of it.
-
Does anyone here actually get this channel? I know I've heard of a few cable systems that plan to add it, but I've yet to actually find someone who currently does get it.

Wrestlemania sells tickets based on name recognition alone, even today, the WWE could probobly still run Wrestlemania at the Silverdome with Triple H vs Heidenreich as the main event and still sell the place out.

According to Meltzer and PWI, Batista and Cena were supposed to go for longer before the finish, but they were pressed for time so they just booked the ending on the fly.
-
Yeah, this is totally theoretical, but what makes you say that? A yearly draft to shuffle up the rosters and create new match possibilities is logical. JBL is bascially squashed all his competition on Smackdown, and Cena's list of potential opponents include what, Angle? I don't think Cena vs Carlito will sell out any areans either. Same thing on RAW, what heels are there for a face Batista to fight for the title? Triple H? Flair? Exactly.
-
Now that the direction going towards Wrestlemania is pretty clear, let's discuss possibilities for the next draft (assuming there is one. Here's a list of guys I think would likely benefit from changing shows RAW: Orton Snitsky Jericho Michaels Smackdown: Cena Angle Heidenreich Charlie Haas Now assuming Cena wins the belt at WM, he's not going anywhere, so perhaps a JBL switch to RAW? They can also use this as an oppertunity to do something with the anemic tag team division as well. Anyone else have better ideas?

Well....The Rumble match was good. The undercard only ranged from really really bad (Taker vs Heidenreich) to mind numbingly dull (Triple H vs Orton). The Rumble match itself was really great, just like usual. Markout moments for me: The in-joke with Benoit and Eddie stiffing Puder, and then having Hardcore Holly come out and do the same. Smackdown vs RAW Muhammed Hassan Simon Dean Paul Londons elimination The Coach trying to beat up Kane My friends and I all screamed bullshit at the ending to the Rumble, although they did do a pretty good job pathing things up. Overall, thumbs in the middle for a great Rumble, with a shitty undercard.

I've noticed lately that there have been a ton of Horror movies as of late. The Darkness and White Noise are still in theaters, Hide and Seek and Alone in the Dark open tomorrow, Boogeyman opens next week, smells like oversaturation to me.

Plus, the WWE knows they don't really have to put much effort into pushing the Royal RUmble because it always pulls in a strong buyrate based on name value alone.
