Is this in reference to Garnett?
-
Eh, he listened to Adelman for a half season. Over time, he probrably would've had a blow up with him. Now, in the next couple of days if we hear from Ron Ron that he wants out of Sac, then Petrie and the brothers Maloof made a huge tactical error. I don't think we can accurately judge if Adelman had gotten through to Artest because they didn't have enough time together.
-
That was hot air and emotion coming out of Artest. He wasn't going to play for free. The player's association wouldn't allow it. It's not realistic. Adelman was on the way out and everyone knew it. The only thing that would've kept Adelman around was a deep run in the playoffs.

I don't know of anyone who is on the bubble that can really make much of a difference. I think Jeff Van Gundy may be on the bubble, but I don't want him in Sac. Perhaps they go with one of the assistants not including Pete Carril because of the health issues.

Fuck that. I'd rather have Paul Silas than Larry Brown. Brown will just help escalate the disgusting concession stand prices and up parking to $15-$20.

And Tom Cruise's opening for MI:3 effects us all how again?
-
If it turns out to be Don Nelson, I'm going to throw up. I hope it's someone more defensive minded is all I'll say.

That sucks. The Nets could really do themselves a huge favor and go up 2-0 in the series going back to NJ.

I think it's a contractual TV rights thing. I know that TNT and ESPN have exclusive rights to the ECF and WCF.

That's a problem any franchise with a superstar has. You will almost never get fair trade value back. Philly will go through the same thing when trying to deal AI. Of course you try to get the best players possible to help your club, but you also look for other things like expiring contracts to free yourself up to make a run in FA market. I remember last year the Kings dealing Webber for Kenny Thomas, Corliss, and Brian Skinner. While none of the 3 guys we got are in Webber's league in terms of talent, we also no longer have a disgusting contract to pay out to a guy with a hole in his knee. Thomas has turned into a serviceable PF. Corliss is just sort of there and we already dealt away Skinner. (which I am still puzzled by because he's the perfect backup center)

Perhaps Smush "got" the triangle before Sasha? That is huge to Phil. Vujacic has better shooting skills, which is what they want out of that position in the triangle. Walton's ball handling isn't that great. He doesn't need to handle like a traditional PG because of how the Triangle works, but you still need a decent ball handler bringing the ball up the floor and while Kobe can do that, you exert a lot of energy trying to get the ball up the floor that needs to go to Kobe for the 4th quarter. On the flipside, Walton would get killed by most 2 guards because his defense isn't good except his ability to flop/draw a charge. I still agree they don't need to tinker too much, they just need these young guys to come together.

Batista and Booker T get into a fight?
Dangerous A replied to CheesalaIsGood's topic in The WWE Folder
It's from WWE.com. It's a work. Say hello to Batista's return program. -
While the voting doesn't reflect how I feel, again, I'll say I'm content with who won the award or if any of the 3 runners up had won.

But you can say the same thing about the Suns. The season before Nash signed the Suns were a 25 win team WITH Amare, Marion, and Barbosa.

LIAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck you, I'm seeing it. I'll probrably be lit up, but I'm seeing it.

The Nets are handing the Heat their ass so far in this game.

I think summer league may be telling as to how good Bynum may or may not be.

Chris Paul was the only unanimous All Rookie Team member and may have been unanimous ROY.

The Kings/Lakers rivalry died when they blew up the Shaq/Kobe dynamic.
-
A couple of things about AI and the Lakers... 1) The obvious. I don't think they can co-exist. Maybe at first, but somewhere along the line the need to dominate the ball would get to one of them and then you'd have a star feud the likes of Shaq and Kobe 2) AI might only be 30, but his body is probrably older than that because of the pounding he's taken. I honestly think you will see a slide in his game the next 2-3 years and it will be sudden and drastic. 3) Buss wants less money on payroll, not more. I'm not sure a deal could be made because Iverson's contract is so big. Thing is, when Kobe and AI want to, they can share the ball and co-exist. Personally, I don't think it can or will happen, but then again I remember people saying Earl Monroe and Walt Frazier couldn't co-exist and they did just fine. (yeah, I went old school cause I couldn't cite another explosive guard tandem that was equivalent)

Bonzi has pulled quite the magic trick in Sac. He's been quoted as saying he loves the town and wants to stay, basically throwing the ball in managment and the Maloofs court in terms of possibly being the bad guy if they don't re-sign him. He endeared himself to the fans too. I just hope people do understand he was in a contract year and while he dominated the Spurs series, he can meltdown just as easily as Artest can.
-
I know he pulled down 8 mil this year, which was the final year of the contract. No way I'd give him more than that per year, so the only things are to either a) let him go or b) sign and trade. I'd say go with b), but I'm not sure who could/would take him? Not too many teams I can think of that need a shooting guard except Denver, and they want more of a spot-up, pure shooter type.
-
The Kings still have to figure out whether to give Bonzi a contract or not. He wants 5-6 years guaranteed. I don't feel comfortable with anything over 3 years guaranteed with perhaps a player or team option in the 4th. I'd love to unload Bibby and/or Miller because I think the window is sort of closed in terms of building around them. They are skilled players no doubt, but they are soft in the playoffs and while Bibby is a very clutch player, he is a defensive siv.
-
Well, he's a polarizing type of guy. I wouldn't have any issues if the MVP was Bryant, James, or Dirk either.

Just to pick up where we left off on KG talk in the conference semi's thread...
