They have a sister, too. Which makes me sorta shudder at the thought.... -
Jack's look to Kate after finding out that Claire is his sister rivaled it.

It's the heavyweight division, so they need the time to develop prospect(s). Nog on TV will be hilarous. "You know, these guys, you know, are really good guys, I think." -
Finished Altered Carbon the other day, really good sci-fi and the ending was tremendous. I'll have to pick up the sequels. Should translate well to screen, though I think it would be better optioned as a series.

'Course, with the UFC, it would be "Victory Warrant".

You said this. FACT. Can I also point out how awesome my sig is? Not typically a Mandy Moore fan but she looks uber cute in that with the icing on the cake being her possibly saying "go john" with the double thumbs. My sig is cheering me the fuck on. -
HIS SACRIFICE CANNOT BE IN VAIN!

Eh. Danzig had a solid debut, showed areas of strengths and weaknesses that he can use to improve upon. A good fight for him. Maia upped himself in the division big time by beating Herman. Franklin and MacDonald are sorta just floating so their wins didn't really do anything. Clementi furthered himself after the win over Stout. Bisping looked impressive in beating Chainsaw, a good start for him at 185 and something to build from. Day had a huge debut and put himself in the mix immediately. Cain debuted, which might turn into something for the future. Starnes and Quarry shit the bed and the win just builds Nate to get destroyed somewhere down the line by a real contender. All in all, not a particularly impactful show, but somewhat relevant as a card to build guys. Guys moved up the ranks. Always good.

I think what's more sketchy is his list of opponents. Not exactly world beaters. -
UFC 83 - Serra vs. St. Pierre 2

I imagine that would be Mark Ratners responsibilities. Dana don't give a fuck about Canada though, his hard-on is Boston and New York. -
But running a country into the ground, tallying up a multi trillion dollar debt, ruining our foreign policy, etc etc etc etc etc etc, in my mind, qualifies me to call him a pretty stupid leader. Bill Clinton's IQ is reportedly in the 140s. And he was still dumb enough to get caught with an intern half his age. Cock > Brain.

Psh. Lutter just needs to ixnay the ararmbay and continue with GnP. Coulda finished both Silva and Franklin if he didn't take their bait. Truly a Washington Wizards move, ironically. -

He meant the Michael Jordan of BJJ in Michael Jordan *at the time*, not in terms of legacy or peak or anything. MJ today isn't close to being one of the top basketball players, nor was he when the comment was made. It ain't Goldies fault you be misinterpretin. -

BJ hasn't really delivered the wins that GSP and Anderson have. GSP doesn't take punishment as well as BJ or Anderson. Anderson's takedown defense is lacking, and when he gets down to the ground he can get controlled. It's a tough question. Rich Franklin's lastest... -

I couldn't tell you who -on the international scene- did this first, but Maurice Smith vs. Mark Coleman was probably the first fight that I've seen that had cardio as a weapon and strategy against the opponent. Marco Ruas brought leg kicks as an offensive weapon early-on. I wouldn't say Anderson isn't doing anything that others separately have done before - Sakurai was plum fucking Frank Trigg in 2000, and I'm sure at IVC events it was going on as well. What Anderson is doing is forging a legacy on dominance and skill, rather than through innovation. It's hard to change the game at this point, since most options in fighting have been explored. Now it's just a matter of perfecting. -

To me, it's either Royce is high up there, or he's not there at all. There are more guys who have more wins over better (ranked) opposition than he did at the time; there are also very few guys who have impacted the sport more. -

Royce Gracie being considered a top fighter is not based on anything other than 2 things: Dominance at the time, and Impact on the Sport. You can't really rationalize beyond that. If that is not in your criteria, then Royce doesn't rank. If it is, then Royce has to be ranked high. Fact is, Royce wasn't one of the best in BJJ at the time, let alone MMA, but it doesn't change how he fared in the ring or the influence his dominance had. Yes, Royce had shit opponents, but you can't really go back in time to have him fight GSP or Anderson Silva or Fedor. He beat guys who were strong in their relative sport, which was -at the time- the whole point of UFC. There are different standards today, a different approach taken, and I don't think it is fair to take away Royces' accomplishments because of that difference. You can talk about how Royce didn't evolve with MMA, but Royce also was the one who forced the evolution in MMA. Which do you think is more important, guys who change with the game or guys who change the game?
