They were originally painted by the US stations as "Osama bin-Laden's favorite television station," which normally implied something bad. But as those same stations had to depend on them more and more for footage of various events, to the point that US networks were bargaining equipment for the right to reair certain Al-Jazeera content, they just became known in everyone's minds as CNN/FNC/MSNBC's partner in the middle east.

So, every intelligence agency in the world is full of bumbling fools then? Because the justification for the whole CIA fuckup is "well, other intelligence agencies worldwide came to the same conclusion, so don't blame America or President Bush that other nations also thought Saddam had WMDs." So, which is it?

Which would be almost any intelligence organization worldwide, according to those who defend Bush's choice to take action on the WMD claims?

Shaddup. I'm just demonstrating what I was talking about when he made that comment, and why he was wrong to do so.

As far as I've determined, under Kerry, nothing in Iraq will really change. And I mean "nothing changes" as in what was going on a few months ago, where troops are hanging around and far-left types are saying we need to leave and the government is saying that the Iraqis actually enjoy our presence. I don't mean "nothing changes" as in the Fallujah stuff and rioting we've suddently been seeing. The only real foreign policy difference is more humility towards international powers when it's called for. I figure with Bush, something is going to change drastically. It could just as easily change drastically for the worse as it could change drastically for the better, so it depends on whether you view the glass as half full/empty and how ready you are to gamble with it.

NewsMax, which I think ought to join left-wing sites like IndyMedia and shit on the list of "sites far too partisan to take seriously."

I didn't know what it was upon clicking on it, which made my eyes roll even harder when I saw what was inside.

Is that an actual company perk that extends to the premium channels like regular HBO? If so, I'll need to apply, as the installer guy today, when we added another room, declared the digital box needed to be on to "talk with headquarters" even though it had no phone line or cable hookup as we need to get the wire to that room. Yeah, because just plugging it in with no connection allows it to "talk to headquarters." So, I figure, if he can get a job, damn straight I can. Anyway, even if it's VOD, I hope I can at least see it over there, which means they need to bring VOD to this area.

I think the return of Hogan unlocked some sort of seal which is causing the old 80s cliches of the company to return in spades. Now we have Evil Quebecers and babyfaces are made into good ol' American boys at every oppertunity. While I don't mind some well-loved parts of the 80s scene, like I wouldn't mind seeing the workrate of someone like Steamboat, but not the goofy Saturday Morning style WWF. More goofy superhero-like characters and a huge heaping of USA-centered patriotism on the side.

No. Nader didn't screw up the last election nor did Perot give us Clinton. Both claims are just scapegoating by people who want someone to blame.

The Gail pic is... Well, I'm not feelin' it. And I have a whole folder of way too many asian pictures, she just... Is there. I thought the Dawn picture actually looked, compared to Dawn's regular appearance, quite good. WWE is still clinging onto the Pamela Anderson lookalike dollars though.
