I like homemade waffles better than homemade pancakes, so my vote is for waffles. My gal makes these chocolate ones, chocolate waffle with two kinds of chocolate chips. It was so good I almost started crying. There are few things better than a homemade waffle.

Campbell fits their need for a puck moving defenseman, but I'd be uncomfortable with paying him as much as he's going to ask for. I don't think they need a high-end guy like Campbell. Maybe someone like Liles from Colorado or Hainsey from Columbus.

He and Chara get along well, he's familiar with Chiarelli from Chiarelli's days in Ottawa and the Bruins will have: - Zhamnov's contract coming off the books officially. - Murray will be traded, demoted or bought out. - 10 million or so to play with, more if they get rid of Murray. I'm not saying it's a definite, but they certainly have ties to Hossa and a need for a top-line winger of his caliber to drive the offense with Savard. You figure Sturm-Savard-Hossa with a second line revolving around Kobasew, Bergeron and Kessel in some capacity would be a big time improvement. The need is there, the money is there and the groundwork is there. Don't count the Bruins out. It's not a definite but I'd say that the chances of Hossa staying in Pittsburgh are significantly less than zero.

I don't see how Hossa will re-sign with Pittsburgh. He's going to ask for 7.5+ for longer than three years on the open market and I can't see Pittsburgh signing him over Staal or Malkin. I think Shero rolled the dice with the trade, looking to stack the lineup and make the Finals which he has done. What are the Penguins going to give up to move up and draft a defenseman? They don't pick until the 4th round this year and any first and second round picks hereafter are likely going to be late round picks because the team is going to be good. Who would trade with them? They got rid of four tradable assets to bring in Hossa.

I have never said that the season should start in mid-June, Alan. I have said that cold-weather cities shouldn't open the season at home. And as far as I'm concerned, it's summer after Memorial Day. The temperature dropped about 40 degrees here in like two hours, and I'm quite cross about this. I couldn't jog today! You can call Memorial Day the first day of summer, but nature obviously disagrees. First day of summer is either june 20 or 21.

I'm liking my team. I got an elite goalie, defenseman, offensive forward and defensive forward. There are still some sleepers out there though. I had a hell of a time between him and a defenseman that shall go unnamed.

With that, the unnamed team is very proud to select: Another wildly underrated player, overshadowed by flashier, more offensive minded players in his generation. Being typical jerk-off kids in high school out on saturday night, my friends and I were being obnoxious in a Friendly's restaurant. Nothing overly bad, just being loud and disruptive to everyone else's dining experience. So we were asked to leave without our dessert, despite being charged for it. The manager told us that we were to leave before he called the cops, we were "disturbing the peace" and that Friendly's reserved the right to refuse service to anyone. So on the way out, a friend of ours decides to drop his pants and press his ass against their walk-up window, yelling, "You call that Friendly?! I'll show ya Friendly!" No cops were ever called and we high-tailed it out of there, but it was pretty funny.

Back in high school at WWF pay per view parties we would stock up on all things cheap. Walmart soda, having friends hook us up with meat and cheese platters from Ro-Jacks, me bringing a bag of pastries from Dunkin Donuts (where I worked). So once we're sitting in my friend's living room, bored by an Undertaker match. My friend's dad walks in and he and his dad have this exchange. F: Hey dad, want a Dr. Thunder? FD: ...No thanks...trying to cut back. Of course, I can't get the timing right, but it's one of the funniest things I've ever heard. Anyway. I'm a generic guy at the grocery store. Unless the cereal is giving away good prizes. We have about 10 each of the Star Wars spoons and the Indiana Jones spoons for no other reason other than I'm a 10 year old boy. The only name-brand I buy in things I use everyday is Arizona Iced Tea. And that's only because I've yet to find a generic iced tea that's as good, or one that makes a half iced tea half lemonade drink that is as great as Arizona's.

The ice cream man around here is a far cry from the Palagi trucks I remember as a boy. White, painted, clean with all the stickers placed perfectly, ice cream treats or frozen slush. Around here, it's a shady looking couple operating out of a 1988 Econoline van with a speaker on the roof playing Disney songs. The van looks like if your kid gets close enough, he/she is going to be pulled into the van and fondled. That's exactly the same paint and style truck it is. I've never bought anything from them.

What a catch by Ichiro to take away a possible triple from Varitek. A leaping, over the shoulder catch, he caught his spikes on the wall and held onto the ball as he grabbed his head on the way down. You'll see it a lot probably. Great play. I think these teams have hot dates tonight. This is the fastest Red Sox game this season so far I think. Game started at 10 or so and we're just ending the fifth at ten past 11.
