The problem with bunting is that the Yanks lineup is too powerful to be wasting them on getting to Wells- if Wells is on, you're going to have a hard enough time with him as is- jump on him quick if you can, b/c if you start to work the count, you're going to pay.

That's what I thought, but I've heard ESPN reporting that there will be a one-game playoff in NY if the division ends in a "tie" (despite NY having the division series).

If the Red Sox win 2 of 3, they play NY in a one-game playoff for the Division. If that happens and the Indians lose the series [winning only 1 of 3 or less], the Red Sox will have the better record and therefore win the wild card. Chicago already clinched their division. Edit: I think. I've heard different versions of the same story.

I'm more worried about which David Wells is going to show up tonight.

Dude- as a Sox fan, I hoped that it would come down to this series. As a Yankees fan, you should hope that your team has to play their greatest rival. I just want to re-emphasize what King said- I've seen the Pats win every kind of game you can play- they're just that balanced. Balance is the key word here- Offense balances defense and vice versa. Now if they could do something about penalites and special teams, they'd be perfect.
