  1. Well it's one game, but Jason Campbell looked damn good for taking his first snap(s) for his career. 2 TDs no INTs, 192 yards....not bad for a first start against the Bucs Defense. Even in a Redskins loss I finally have something to be happy about...
  2. I don't get why the department stores don't just tell the long lines of people exactly how many they have in stock, hand out assigned numbers, and be done with it. I mean I don't understand how there are lines of a hundred people, when everyone knows most stores will only get 15-20 units at the most. If I showed up to wait in line, and there were 50 people in front of me, common sense says "I aint getting one"
  3. Has there been ANY evidence to show Abstinence-Only programs have worked, ANYWHERE.....EVER?
  4. McCain the "moderate" is such a fucking facade. Well ok, maybe his "true feelings" on certain issues that are buried deep down inside of him, are, but over the past six years he has proven to be nothing more then a hack who will roll over on his own principles to preserve his party's power......"Not as bad as Bush" isn't going to cut it in 2008.
  5. The ironic thing about lining up over night, is that it is 100% up to the individual store, whether they want to honor the lines or not. When I camped for a PS2 overnight, we were fortunate enough to have the manager of Target cooperate with us and hand out numbered tickets to us, in the same order we were in line, but I have heard plenty of stories of people lining up all night, and then about an hour or so before the store opens, another random 50 people show up and just go right up to the door, ignoring the line, and the manager of the store doesn't really care and they end up getting in there first or at least among the people in the front of the line.
  6. usually the lines for these things start one side of the door, so someone should go to the store, START A LINE on the other side of the door with the sign.."Line for PS4 Starts here" or to piss them off, "Line for PS3" starts HERE"
  7. The media doesn't talk about a lot of things. Using lack of coverage doesn't validate dismissing this. This isn't even a loony tale about Israel sending missiles dressed up like planes at the towers. It's something that could have legitimately happened, but because it's talking about that day it, as well as a lot of other things, are brushed aside. I don't know what happened, but until its been proven that this happened, we're talking about something that alledgedly happened. I've never heard of this, never seen any evidence of this, and for all I know its just some rumor somebody started. NoCalMike was talking about it like it was a proven fact Guiliani is personally responsible for a no-bid contract no one can verify existed, that there was an equipment malfunction that no one else has mentioned, and that there was a conspiracy by the media or government to cover this up. A pretty serious charge has been made here, and I'd like some proof before I jump to any conclusions. I didn't say there was a media conspiracy to cover it up. The media is the media, it is lazy and sensationalistic, they hardly ever cover newsworthy stories, so it's not like I think they PURPOSELY ignored this. It is just the media being the media. http://www.911citizenswatch.org/modules.ph...r=0&thold=0 Kristin Breitweiser –- Blog -- Huffington Post http://www.huffingtonpost.com/kristen-brei...ct_b_18564.html Can someone please explain to me why Rudy Giuliani gets to give a victim's impact statement at the Moussaoui penalty phase hearing? Which family member did Guiliani lose in the attacks? Forgive me, but Giuliani is the person responsible for deciding to locate NYC's emergency command center in the World Trade Center along with a diesal fuel tank (against the advice of certain FDNY officials) before 9/11. Locating the city's emergency command center in a known al Qaeda target (the towers were struck in 1993 and al Qaeda publicly promised to return to finish the job) was a colossal failure in judgment on his part that cost hundreds of lives on 9/11. During the attacks, because the command center was rendered inoperable, NYC had no clear chain of command and no physical command structure in place to coordinate the emergency response. Frankly, the whole reason Giuliani was on television all day and available for interviews was because he was scrambling around the streets trying to set up a command post since the one he had designed and located was paralyzed during the attacks. Anyone who wants to witness the results of NYC's abysmal emergency response to the attacks need only listen to the recently released 911 tapes that chillingly reveal a total lack of coordination and flow of vital life-saving information plaguing the city and its emergency response apparatus that day. (By the way, Mayor Bloomberg has yet to fix the 911 system--even five years later.) Furthermore, Giuliani is also responsible for giving the FDNY inoperable Motorola radios. This, too, cost hundreds of lives when firemen did not hear the order to evacuate the towers prior to their collapse. (By the way, those radios are still not fixed--blame this on Bloomberg, too.) How is a man who is responsible for such horrific and deadly judgments invited to give a victim's impact statement as to how 9/11 impacted him? By these standards, should I expect Condoleezza Rice (Ms. "Nobody knew planes could be used as missiles"), George Tenet (Mr. "I failed to tell the FBI for 18 months that two known al Qaeda killers were living in San Diego and planning the 9/11 attacks"), and perhaps, George Bush (Mr. "I was reading a story about a pet goat while thousands of people perished and burned alive in the World Trade Center because I didn't want to alarm the school children.") to provide victim's impact statements, as well? Check out comments from readers as well. 95 at time of posting. -------------------------------------------------------------------- The above proves nothing I know....however I am being dragged off the computer and I was trying to find "something" within a 10 second time frame. I don't understand why this blog entry is being presented as credible evidence Guiliani is guilty of criminal negligence on 9/11. It's not. Maybe I misunderstood a previous reply of yours but it seemed that you were saying that because YOU had never heard of what I was talking about, then it wasn't true....so right before getting pulled from the computer by my girlfriend's desire to go shopping(lord knows why I HAD TO GO!?!) I ran a search on the topic and just copied and pasted the first thing I saw just to show I wasn't completely making it up.....Did you read what I typed afterwards, "This proves nothing I know........etc"

  9. Has anyone ever had Manhatten Clam Chowder? I never had because I didn't like the idea of tomato-based clam chowder......I have only eaten the Boston/New England style and it is fucking great.
  10. What exactly do you do. I have picked up bits & pieces from other posts of yours, but could you explain it to me?
  11. I used craigslist.....and then you just narrow it down to your state, then city. There are TONs of listings, so I just typed my "introduction paragraph" in MS WORD and would just paste into every email that I attached my resume too, so it made applying to multiple jobs a hell of a lot easier then typing the same paragraph over and over. The problem with national databases is they have turned into whores for temp agencies. You apply to an ad that sounds like a promising job, and then you get a call from an agency saying "this is a two week assignment" and all they really want is you to sign up with them and be available whenever the hell they happen to find you work. It wasn't like this so much at first, but now unfortunately more often then not, if you get a call related to monster.com it is coming from a temp agency, for a temporary assignment.
  12. I will not upgrade until they either come put with a dual player, or one of the brands die off.
  13. Just wondering, what's the motorolla thing? Guliani issued no-bid contracts to Motorolla to make the radio-walkie talkies for the FDNY....so on 9/11 when the Chiefs were calling their men to evacuate the buildings because they were going to collapse the official story was "The firemen were so brave that they didn't want to evacuate and they wanted to keep search for people" the truth however was that the radios were malfunctioning and they never got the evacuation orders, and the radios had been malfunctioning for some time before 9/11, yet the contracts with motorolla stayed. There had been public hearings regarding this after 9/11, but it all kind of faded away and dissapeared, much like any other "investigation" into the day of 9/11.
  14. As a Skins fan, it sucks to see Portis go down for the season, especially with the rookie coming in to start, but Betts is a capable backup and Duckett will be good on short yardage and goal line situations, and honestly, it is better that Portis sit down and get healthy for next year, then trying to play through injuries that could worsen his situation for the future. Redskins vs. Bucs.....Jason Campbell gets his first start against a Defense that plays a good Cover 2. The Redskins have the weapons on offense to beat a Cover 2, namely SPEED at the WR Position. With Brunell in there, it would seem nearly impossible to get the ball delivered downfield to the WRs, but with Campbell in there, the Deep Vertical passes needed to beat a Cover 2 seem more likely to happen. I will say that Campbell comes out of this game with a poor stat line, but he makes the few deep throws needed, to beat another poor offensive team, and that gets the fans excited for the future.... Skins 17 Bucs 13
  15. If Mayweather dances, jukes & Jives, sticks n moves AKA what he normally does, he will win, and still get booed out of the building. De La Hoya is not so much a brawler either, but he can brawl, and I think he might get frustrated enough in this fight to want to brawl. The question is, can Mayweather hurt De La Hoya, and will De La Hoya get the point where he is willing to get hit by the job in order to walk through it and try to get Mayweather against the ropes.

  17. if you bring up 9/11....then the motorolla no-bid contracts will definately come with that....which would be a disaster.
  18. Four-day job search. Nice. Did you get the weekends off you were looking for? I'm guessing there's a good chance of it, since data entry is the kind of thing you can really do any time. I work the standard 9-5:30, but my company is run by incompetents. I'm going to try to stick around till they get me my security clearance, but if they're still going downhill in January, I might have to jump ship. Of course, as you can see, I'm afforded plenty of time to fuck around on the internet. It was actually more like a 3-week job search, but I just didn't make this original post until I had been out of work a couple of weeks. Yes I have weekends off, it is M-F, 6AM - 2:30pm....kinda early to start but being off by 2:30pm is fucking great.
  19. I really think Rudi's popularity outside of the NY tri-state area is over-hyped and he has way too many skeletons in the closet to make a national run. The entire situation with his divorce and parading around with a new girlfriend are exactly the type of things the media likes to get a hold of, and squeeze every last drop out of, and unfortunately the american people usually fall for it everytime. Not that I would want him as the President sanz all that, as there are plenty of reasons I don't want him President.
  20. Gots me a job, Data Entry. An employer responded to my resume, and sent me the typing tests to me over the net, I took them, scored well and landed a job!!!
  21. The Giants will win the NFC East because the Eagles & Cowboys lose a game everytime they win that "big" game that might get them back in the hunt, and Washington is too far out of it, plus the Jason Campbell era has began so the rest of the season should be no better then .500. I wouldn't expect the Giants to go deep into the playoffs though, too many injuries, too much inconsistency. It looks like a one & done playoff year for the Giants again....(at this point)
  22. Any ECW-brand notes in the WON?
  23. Well it's official, Brunell BENCHED. Let the Jason Campbell era begin!!
  24. So it looks as if the spoilers for ECW this week are indicating that Lashley's debut in ECW was made VERY STRONG by taking out Holly and Big Show.......I swear, if this guy comes in and wins the ECW Title, after the past six months make RVD winning the belt the only acceptable payoff, not only are the fans going to shit all over it, but it will probably drive the ratings even lower.
  25. Can someone explain to me why Vince is so anti-"extreme rules" when it comes to ECW, yet it seems like on RAW every other match ends up being a NO DQ type of match. Something tells me that it isn't about Vince not liking "hardcore matches" moreso then he doesn't want RAW being shown up by the ECW Roster which can do brawly-garbage matches much more effective.
