  1. It's hilarious because everytime Vick has a good stretch, ESPN is always right there to hang onto his nuts and proclaim, "It looks as if Vick has finally turned the corner onto Greatness" and then Vick proceeds to be Michael Vick and the ESPN coverage simply dissapears.
  2. Sex tape release is imminent.
  3. I agree with the Curb Your Enthusiasm statement. I don't know if it is suddenly "cool" or not to not like Seinfeld, but I honestly always thought the show was overrated, not a bad show, just not nearly as funny as people made it out to be, and I always felt NBC did a good job in artificially making it "the show everyone can't miss" That is also why I found myself shocked when I discovered Curb to be THAT damn funny to me. Anyways, I also agree with the Blade comment. The series started off a bit slow, and being on Spike of all channels possibly hurt it, but according to reports, the ratings grew every week, but I guess not enough to get a second season....I really enjoyed the show and hope possibly Sci-Fi or another network gives it a second season.
  4. The War at Home seems almost exactly the same as "Grounded for Life" which aired a few years ago and runs in syndication now on ABC Family.
  5. Hopefully December to Dismember gets some play during WWE programming(other than ECW) this week to help advertise.
  6. For those that haven't seen it....GSP vs. Hughes II http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6582651502321510653
  7. 2 Games in and Jason Campbell has 4 TDs and 1 INT, with about 350 passing yards, against the Defenses of Tampa and Carolina, not bad. I am not going to over-do it, because he is young and I am sure the stumbling blocks are still going to take place, but I am happy to see that for the first time since Theismann, the Redskins might actually have a Franchise QB on their hands.
  8. I didn't order this one because I am hosting December to Dismember next week at my house and I didn't want to carry 2 PPVs on my monthly bill, but my interest is peaked enough to want to know what is going on so I think I will join the aim chat......
  9. Whoever they end up wrestling I really hope they book it as a competative match, and not a chance to Showcase the "Return of the Hardy Boyz 2006~!" I would even go as far as to say they SHOULD JOB if they are facing an ECW team, being this is an ECW PPV which should be used to help the ECW brand, but that isn't likely to happen.
  10. I think a lot of it has to do that Oz's main competition(during it's best years) was with The Sopranos which is such a "sexy" theme and contains such familiar subject matter, I mean who doesn't like "mob drama" I know a lot of people that refuse to watch Oz because the fear of "gay sex" well guess what, it's about Maxium Security PRISON, the shit happens.
  11. Listen I've only seen bits and pieces of Oz, and most of it seems to be later years. But the sheer ridiculousness and far fetchedness really didn't interest me. That and the anal rape. The anal rape is a big turn off. I am sure that could be said about every television show on HBO and on Television for that matter.
  12. Oz > The Rest of HBO Original Series
  13. It was only a matter of time, but Michael Richards new Rap Song has hit the net............http://captainoftheussinevitable.ytmnsfw.c...06287e7a6e39804
  14. Dennis Miller already had his chance, and his show was downright horrible. The problem was that Miller is a lightweight when it comes to debate. If his show is just pure comedy, like his HBO show was, then he would probably do a better job, but the MSNBC show he had was atrocious because he would invite a liberal author on, and then when he was getting trounced in a debate, he would start rattling off personal insults and making fun of the guest.
  15. ECW was decent this week, but once again it looks like they are going out of their way to position Lashley for the win at the PPV which bugs the shit out of me.......and will cause me to meltdown if it actually happens.
  16. So has anyone heard or read anything regarding a reaction by Sony to consumer concerns about the PS3 HD-ability only working with 1080p and not 1080i? Are they planning to fix this with future models of the PS3? Out of the two machines I WOULD spend the extra cash on a PS3, but not if it won't work with 1080i.
  17. Since the December shipment is going to be small as well, people should hold on to them for Christmas because the desperation by parents who can't find one in stores after being told by an idiot clerk that "we are getting more in december before christmas" will happen again.
  18. Wait, are you telling me people watch O'Reily and Hannity without laughing hysterically?
  19. See I can agree with that. Right now, to me, WWE's Tuesday Night Hour of Power is basically the best hour of WWE Television. It just isn't "ECW"
  20. Exactly. The media is incapable of labeling Dallas as an average to above average team, and the win today will give them enough fuel for the next week to run with the Dallas hype, especially since Philly just became a playoff observer, and the Giants are so beat up that they might soon join that club.
  21. After careful consideration, I decided that unless Sony decides to FIX the 1080i non-compatability issue with the PS3, then I am getting a 360 instead which supports 1080i and 1080p. Sony doesn't have the amount of exclusives anymore that they used to, so it makes the decision easier. Bidding farewell to Ratchet & Clank is going to suck hard though.
  22. I am not saying that ECWWE has been outright awful. For the most part there is plenty about it to like, but I just think looking back at it, since it started back up, calling the Tuesday night WWE show "ECW" comes off now looking more like a marketing ploy, then an honest attempt to re-create ECW. Vince could have easily done it, it's not hard. Could have made "ECW" a counterpart to OVW, another place to train new, younger guys, while also bringing back ECW stars of the past. Hold shows in smaller venues, and give them their own tapings. It isn't hard to do. I mean you have Paul freakin' Heyman on the paid roster, defer responsibility to him and stop using WWE creative to write shows. And as far as the fanbase goes, it was there at the startup....just look at ONS, and/or ONS 2, you could have ran the same show(s) in about five different cities, and you would have got the same passion from the fans. However Vince viewed those fans as the enemy, not the consumer, merely because they enjoyed a product different from his masturabatory vision of how prowrestling should be, when Vince tried to give them Test, they rejected him because well Test is garbage, but not to Vince, so Vince goes and takes it personally and blames the fans for ruining "his show" sand then he slowly seeked to wane their interest, and looked to get by with having about 1/4th of his WWE fanbase tune in on Tuesdays..... And now Vince is ready to make the stupidest decision yet for the new ECW which is putting the belt on Lashley.
  23. Like it matters if Indy went 16-0 anyway. They have been the regular season champs for the past three or four years, only to lose in the playoffs. Regardless of them going 16-0 or not, I still think there would be plenty of people left not expecting them to make it the superbowl.
  24. The problem with credit cards, or actually more specifically credit card companies, is that a lot of times they specifically target people they know cannot pay off their bills, thus they will, in the process, lock them up with a life time of debt. If people were able to afford what they use credit cards for, they would either not have a credit card in the first place, or they would always pay their bill off before any interest accrued, thus not giving the credit companies any profit. I am tired of the economy being touted, when a lot of the money swimming around being spent is based on credit cards, which is really a dirty nasty code word for DEBT. Just like our government, people are now getting more comfortable with "defeceit spending" because either they HAVE TO DO IT to get by with their bills, or they just figure the whole system is a scam anyway so they will try and scam the system right back.
  25. Vince just dropped the ball AGAIN. He could have made it more like ECW, which would have held the original fans, plus bring in new fans that like a different product as well as WWE-Raw/Smackdown, but much like everything else, over an extended period of time, it is much more important to Vince that he makes it known that people are watching HIS VISION of Prowrestling, rather then just have a good product that is different.
