  1. Rough for employment. Good in every other way. I got engaged over the holidays.
  2. Yesterday on the news they said there was a rumored merge between XM and Sirius in the works.
  3. Yeah, I'm sick. Not hungover-sick, just sore-throat, congested etc sick. It's not so bad, I have the Descent and Superman Returns here, ready to be watched, and a very comfortable couch to lay on.....I still am in some disbelief that I went ahead and got engaged. Not regretting it of course, it is just weird that after all this time being in a relationship with the same person, there was STILL a next step/stage to take it to. The planning will begin soon, and one of the benefits of being the last of the group to holdout, is that a lot of friends are throwing us referrals and references left and right for deals on stuff...Me personally, all I really care about is that everyone is well fed at the reception. Oh and the Tux. Yeah, the two things I care about....haha. Since this is the first time doing this, I suppose the first thing to do is make the guest list since a lot of stuff is based around how many people will be at the wedding....
  4. I was kind of fast forwarding through the DX promo, was it Kurt Angle that HBK was taking a shot it when he referred to the "supposed Greatest In Ring Performer of our generation curtain jerking somewhere else" ?
  5. I think the Redskins are in pretty good shape for 2007. It looks like they have found their franchise QB, and while I don't expect Campbell to live up to that billing until 2008, I think it is positive that unlike other young QBs, he seemed to get better with every start and every time the playbook was opened up more, he thrived more, which is usually the opposite for guys in his shoes. Also, while the NFC East sent three teams to the playoffs, only the Eagles ended the season playing their best football, while the Giants & Cowboys limp into one of the weakest playoff tournaments ever in the NFC. I'd also say the G-men and Big D have a lot more uncertainty as far as players and personnel go, going into 2007 then either the Eagles or Redskins. The Redskins need a stud DE, and a cornerback. I wouldn't mind some guys on the inside of the D-line for depth either. On offense, they need to re-sign Dockery, because the O-line was playing GREAT down the stretch, and it would be a shame to break up the chemistry there.
  6. Umaga is already looking to be another lost oppurtunity. Not that I like or even want to see Umaga as a major player or anything, but up till tonight (last night on Raw, I mean)he had somewhat of a shred credibility as an unstoppable monster, but tonight the sight of him fleeing from the ring, is the nail in the coffin for this "monster" as I am sure once his match with Cena is over, they will find either nothing for him to do, or he will land a nice mid-card feud before he is sent down to OVW to be repackaged as "Make-A-Difference"-Umaga. Of course that is one problem with these types of gimmicks, especially when they are thrusted into the ME scene to soon, because once they are beaten, they lose the "unstoppable" aspect IMMEDIATELY, which is the meat and potatoes of their gimmick in the first place.
  7. Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz 2 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5...ortiz&hl=en
  8. Well see the thing is, I am thinking of doing multiple pots, maybe the winner of the rumble yields the biggest pot, whoever lasts the longest(time-wise), and whoever eliminates the most people(with some method of a tie-breaker). That way the game won't be decided almost immediately after everyone has drawn, because you know WWE always likes to throw that random mid-carder in there to last a long time....of course this year a good bet is for Kenny to be the random-lasting till the final four guy.
  9. Well I am going to be hosting the Rumble, and we usually spice it up by having everyone throw in some money, and then we draw names of the participants and whoever draws the winner, wins the pot. The only problem with this game, is that with WWE, you usually know the 3-4 guys that even have a chance to win well beforehand, so if you don't draw one of their names, you basically have no chance of winning. So I was thinking we could change it up and maybe do it differenty. Usually we have 6 or so guys for the Rumble over, so if everyone got to draw five names, then I was thinking you could either total the number of time each of your guys was able to stay IN the rumble, or the total number of wrestlers eliminated by the guys on your list.........Of course anything with time incriments would be harder to be accurate, where as the eliminations are rather easy because you basically just watch your group of wrestlers and write down who they eliminate when they eliminate them. So I was looking for suggestions for different Rumble tournys I could do, or maybe a website that will post Rumble stats fairly soon after the PPV...... Thanks.
  10. The thing is, guys like Cena, HHH, UT, Orton, Edge etc...are the WWE's version of the Mob's "made guys" They don't even need a Rumble win to get a title shot. They could find their way into the title match simply because of their status in the WWE and the support they get from WWE Creative. To me, I think someone should win the Rumble that needs it to take that next step, someone who might not even end up in the title match, because hey we've seen situations before where people have put up their title shot clause in a match before Wrestlemania.
  11. I don't want to steal the thunder of my previous blog, since that is much more important "news" to share then this bitter entry, but I noticed, when I was Christmas shopping how a lot of clothing lines/brands/names etc....have become fashionable over the past couple of years which has been met with a price hike that makes purchasing more then one or two items unbearable. Stores like "Tillys" "Ground Zero" etc....they mostly contain a lot of brand names that a few years ago basically made the same stuff, but not as many people took a liking to it. It was never "cheap" perse, but it was all reasonably priced. Not anymore. Why are they asking $25 for T-shirts....not a nice dress shirt or collared shirt, but a fucking T-shirt with a random, generic print on it....$25? The only thing I could find which blew my mind away were Hoodies, that were a mere $20.....yes people they were charging more for T-shirts, then Hoodies!?! Of course, I suck at clothes shopping for other people anyway, so I usually just sell out and by some type of accessorie.
  12. Well it's official, me and my girlfriend are now engaged. I am anxiously awaiting how many times I will still introduce her as, "my girlfr...err...fiance" LOL. We've been dating forever, and have lived together for about a year and a half now, and I'd say the experiment is working quite nicely...haha. So yeah we are looking to get married late-summer/early-fall 2007. We've told most everyone in the family that would be attending the wedding, but I haven't even really told any friends yet.....It's just kind of weird because after dating this long, it doesn't even feel like a "next step" it just feels like, umm ok now she has a ring on her finger. LOL.
  13. I'll go with the flick Identity. The movie was building nicely, with the pacing, atmosphere, tension etc....and then just like hollywood almost always does, the climax of the movie is one big SAFE cop-out of an ending.
  14. RIP, Godfather of Soul.
  15. After reading the paragraph about Russo/Cornette......TNA would be crazy not to take Heyman if the oppurtunity was there.
  16. Maybe they do it, because most of them start out innocently and unnoticed, with the hopes that one of these guys will catch on the with the fans BIG TIME, and then they make a big deal about it. Kind of like Goldberg, the streak wasn't made a big deal about at first, but they kept getting a little more into and excited as the streak continued on....
  17. I agree with Hawk's assesment of why UT should not win it. Basically, he DOESN'T NEED TO. They can find any reason to put UT in a Smackdown title match, and people will go with it, simply because he is the UT. The Rumble needs to elevate someone, especially in the current state of WWE where the Main Event scene is stale as fuck. Monty Brown debuting, and pouncing out a bunch of people for the finish would be a great idea, and I don't see how "not being that good of a worker" matters in the WWE ME scene.
  18. Mine is a re-occuring problem, but it kind of has to do with having no specific career aspirations. Basically getting too comfortable in a routine once I get a job, simply because I am getting a paycheck. Even when I hate the job, I get myself into the routine simply because it pays the bills and gives me some extra cash, so instead of constantly looking for better oppurtunities, I settle in and accept the routine.
  19. I wonder how they define "feature length" though. I mean are both at least 90 mins with an intermission in the middle, or is it going to be more like two, 70 minute flicks? I guess this could make up for making us all pay twice for Kill Bill!! LOL!
  20. Look for Iran to be attacked towards the end of Feburary. That is all.
  21. Well they DO still refer to the security guys as Heyman's inforcers......!?! Because Heyman's name is still used on ECW tv. Well yeah, that's what I'm saying, that storyline-wise, Heyman still "runs ECW"
  22. Right, it looks like the Iranian people are rejecting Ahmadinejad, so what are we going to do? Start dropping bombs to unite the country against America? Peeeeeeeeeerfect.
  23. Well they DO still refer to the security guys as Heyman's inforcers......!?!
  24. Well considering they are pushing Lashley as the bigger than life strong-man, maybe they are trying to push Test like that as well, so when they face off at the rumble it will be like two equally strong dudes colliding. Not that I agree with these decisions what-so-ever, but I am just trying to think like a McMahon. The Test/RVD match from awhile ago was pretty good because they worked the match correctly. Test would use his strength to counter RVD's agility and vice versa. Whenever you thought RVD had the match over with, Test would use his strength to counter. If THAT is the Test we could get on a weekly basis, then I wouldn't have much to complain about. Hell his prickish promo this past week explaining why the fans should vote for him was actually pretty good.
  25. Didn't Carls Jr. have something similar. I remember a commercial with a bunch of dudes sitting around sweating as they ate their burgers, and then they ran out of soda...!?!
