Also Bret didn't make his colors the main part of the gimmick. Kind of made the color "cool" with the overal look he had going. Shawn made his glam rocker look the main part of his Sexy Boy gimmick.

They finished third last year. Well I'm clearly listening to NYC sports radio and ESPN way too much...

Made my picks on my blog, they are as follows: From Jabberfest.blogspot.com Time for Opening Day of Major League Baseball 2007 and its time for some season predictions AL East Yankees I don't love their pitching, but their offense should score right around 1,000 runs. Take the Yankees to win about 95 games. Blue Jays Toronto is ready to make some noise in the AL East, and I am calling for the Jays to finally break the Yankees-Red Sox 1-2 combo. Put them down for 90 wins. Red Sox Matsuzaka should bring some excitement to the summer in Boston, but too many question marks, especially with the pen, will cause the Sox to falter from 2 nd for the first time since 1998. Orioles Look for the Orioles to surprise many and finish between 79 and 82 wins. Mazzone should work his magic with the pitching staff, and the O's will take a step in the right direction. Devil Rays A real mess of an organization I can't see them winning much more than 60 ball games this year. AL Central White Sox Tigers will be in trouble with out Kenny Rogers, this should be an opportunity for the White Sox to take back the divisional crown. Tigers The Tigers have enough to stay close, but I'm calling for them to fall just short and stave off all other contenders and capture back-to-back Wild Cards. Indians Will be a feisty team down to the wire again, their bullpen is improved, but it will not be enough to vault them into the postseason. Twins The loss of Liriano for the season will hurt. Santana, Nathan and a solid offense will not be enough to stay in the race though. Royals The Royals should also be improved this season, look for them to hover around the .500 mark all season. Sure they are the worst team in the best division in baseball, but they should be able to get 75-80 wins when all is said and done. AL West Angels The Angels will retake the division for the third time in five years. Athletics The loss of Zito will hurt, and injuries to the staff will also be hard for the A's to overcome. Rangers The Rangers offense again is solid, but pitching is again a problem. Mariners The Mariners will again be bringing up the rear in the West. NL East Mets The Mets will repeat this year, win around 95 games again. Sure there are questions with the staff, but shrewd moves and good performances will be able to get the job done this year. Phillies This will finally be the year the Phillies break through and get into the postseason. They are pretty much the same team as the Mets, but the Mets should have enough to over take them. Braves The Braves should be better this year, but it will not be enough to topple the Mets or Phillies. Marlins The Fish should also be right around the same as a year ago. Manager change and the loss of Jason Johnson will hurt them. Nationals Many people are projecting the Nats as a challenge to 120 losses, I don't think they will be that bad, but it will be a real bad year in DC. NL Central Cardinals Cards will repeat, pretty much by default. They should win more than they did last year though. Cubs Sweet Lou and Soriano should be able to turn the Cubs fortunes around, but questions about the staff outside of Zambrano will hurt their chances for postseason play. Brewers The Brew Crew will be the surprise team in the NL this year, and finish above .500. Astros Clemens is a wild card, but I don't think The Rocket will be enough, should he decide to rejoin Houston, to propel them into the top three of the division this year. Reds Will take a step back this year, won't be horrible though. Pirates Bringing up the rear, and will not be pretty doing it. NL West Dodgers Dodgers will go back to the playoffs, they do have a lot of age on their team, but it should be enough to get the divisional crown. Padres The Pads will also be good this year, but not enough to topple the Dodgers. Diamondbacks With The Big Unit back, and some good young talent, the DBacks should be right there in the thick of the NL West and Wild Card races, but just enough to finish a strong third Rockies Another middle of the road season for the Rockies. Giants This is an old team, the two Barrys aside there is not much to like about this years G-Men. Postseason Yankees get the revenge of the Tigers while Angels beat the White Sox Angels beat the Yankees in the ALCS Mets beat the Dodgers again in the first round while the Phillies beat the Cardinals Mets defeat the Phillies in the NLCS Mets win the World Series over the Los Angels California of Anaheim Angels. Now its time to PLAY BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really doubt it was a real article. Either that, or it was something stupid along the lines of the article that linked Jen Aniston with Rey Mysterio Jr during Rey's WCW hey-day that got mentioned on Nitro Read an article on Jen Aniston some time later where she was asked about that rumor and she completely botched his name. I think she called him "Mystery Man" or something

I'm sure, I was just checking myself from going on a stupid rant, and I wanted to cover all the bases in case he really was confused -

This is a US based message board. Month/Day/Year -
I know its not untill Monday, but I just posted this on another message board, and figured I'd share it here as well You know, its kind of... Funny is not the word I want to use, I guess thats what everyone uses when you use that phrase. Funny, ironic, whatever. I kind of considered myself lucky in a sense. That I didn't know anyone personally who died in the attacks that morning. Considering a close friend of mine (well my older sister's friend, but I consider my sister's close friends like my older sisters as well) worked in the Towers, and she was one of the first things that came to my mind that day. Well, that was untill this year when I found out I DID know someone who perished in the Towers. Just someone I knew in College. Wasn't all that close, I covered her field hockey games during my Freshman year (and last year on the school paper) up at Fairfield University. She was a year older than me. Well, I found out by way of trying to find a mutual friend back during the winter. Funny...(damn I can't think of a better word and I actually want to be a journalist), thing this information super highway is I guess. RIP Johanna Sigmund 1976-2001

From 12 back and without a soild hold on 2nd? Take care of buisness before taking tough If this was the other way Mets fans themselves would be telling the players to STFU
-
Yeah, not to mention you aren't in 2nd any more! Concentrate on Phils and Marlins before attepmting the... Greatest. Comeback. Ever.

I could go for that

BTW, heard some radio ads running promoting the event's ticket sales on the radio, no mention of WWE! Just "ECW's One Night Stand" Hmmmm Kind of adds credence to the thread elsewhere about a return as a seperate enity of ECW

Two more confirmed for the Hall of Fame

Mr. T. is from Chicago...better choice than Perry is this year. Except that when you think Mr. T you don't really think "Chicago" now do you? but when you think of Refrigerator Perry you think of Da Bears! so location wise Perry is one of the best choices they could make Not to mention it being the anniversary of that SB (Yes I KNOW its the '85 Bears, but the Super Bowl was played in 1986) and lets face it, out of the particpants in that battle royal Perry does have the most mass pop-culture noterity -
That was "Carm" and "Meadow" on the phone. In the credits everyone was listed was seen on screen so it wasn't Melfi, Charmange, Ade, Gloria, or anyone from Tony's past on the phone.

You know they will blame NCAA for the bad rating What was the expected rating? It's a Saturday. SNME use to do above a 8 or 9 in ratings the last time it was on NBC... Thats because they aired during Saturday Night Live's timeslot. After a night of doing whatever you came home and watched it, rather than airing during prime time which is a real killer for WWE's main target demos

I threw him in as a joke, to see if people on that board would go "Who the FUCK is Triple H? And Who the Fuck cares?"
-
So I guess this means only female country artists get to have their portrayls garner Oscars? My guess is that 4th grade thing was actually some revue and Reese did a song Maybelle Carter is known for like "Wildwood Flower" or something, and that got twisted into being play through the years

Suncoast/Sam Goody going out of business!

According the their website it sounds like they are going to go the "website only" route or some damned thing Reorganization -
Or any of the "minor categories" get wins a chant of "WHO ARE YOU?" True story, legendary Washington based baseball broadcaster Bob Wolff was put into the baseball Hall of Fame, and during his acceptance speech in Cooperstown he was a bit dronning, so someone actually shouted out "WHO ARE YOU?" Wolff completely no sold it though
-
And you think this is a true legitimate HOF why? Pete Rose is in, only because Vince wanted to give a FU to Cooperstown. I mean 3 apperances in WMs as a non-competitor celeb consititues "inshrinement?" Bob Ueker at least did some commentary in his WM apperances, why not put him in?

Funny, while Cash went headlong into religion right as the movie ends (not in the full HBK mode, but nearly close enough that I can see atheists and such not liking him) and it would be a strong aspect of his life untill he died the movie doesn't really touch on that aspect, with the exceptions of a handfull of references BTW one of his (Cash's that is) sisters died this weekend (I think there is one brother and one sister left of Cash's 6 siblings), maybe there will be some "added" divine inspiration! =

Lets see George M. Cohan, Loretta Lynn, Ray Charles... Can Johnny Cash and June Carter be the fourth and fifth music artist (yeah I'm counting Cohan even though he was more a Broadway actor/singer/dancer/producer/writer/ect) respectivtly to have someone win an Oscar for their portrayl of them

No kidding. Michael Kay on his radio show here in NY has been so vehmently against it, especially about how "fair" it is for Jeter, ARod, Damon and Bernie to be "away" from the team for this long. He also asked about the Oriole pitchers as well, how it was "wasting" a year of having Leo Mazzone as the pitching coach because he won't have a spring to be with them Its gotten to the point, where even though I agree with Kay's sentiments (that this is a half baked, thrown together, uncessary marketing ploy) he is going so overboard that A) I am now rooting for the WBC to be an overwhelming success and B) The Yankees to win the Wo... Okay, I can't say it, but you know what I mean...

What, going brunette for a roll doesn't count? Okay I know that was bad, but hey I had to say it That really is pathetic when you think about it. Basically its saying that an beautifull actress "plain Jane-ing" herself is Oscar Worthy on its own, let alone what kind of job they do in the movie Kind of goes with their "affliction" love-fest as well. I mean it's one thing if the role really was deserving of awards and praise, but its almost become so cliched now that it comes off as, well, patronizing towards those who share the affliciton of the character that the actor/actress wins it for
