  1. I love when I make a valid point and then you side-track my comment (like you do with everybody else) by throwing out a question that's off-point. And no, I thought Gray was a step down for Frankie just like Hammil would be a step down for Rashad.
  2. Ideal opponent versus deserving opponent are totally different beasts.
  3. Hamill at the moment isn't at Rashad's level to be challenging somebody who's on the cusp of a title shot. I like the fight but I don't see it going down.
  4. No TUF fighter has ever been under contract while on the show for that matter. Kalib has officially been cut, btw and I can only assume he'll retire as nobody will touch him at this point.
  5. I'd say you put Rashad against somebody lesser known @ 205 as the main event and make Vera/Werdum the co-main. As I said before though the problem is that there is literally nobody with a name to put Rashad against unless Thiago Silva or Gouveia are pulled off the main card of 84.
  6. I'm wondering if Dana is desperate enough that he'd hot-shot Okami/Silva to this one.
  7. In all fairness Fedor didn't cheat to use the ropes to submit Cro-Cop like Nog did.
  8. It depends on the method of Tito's decision. If every round he works Lyoto over like he did Forrest I'll be impressed and have no issues ranking him. If he fights like a complete pussy like he did when he got Rashad down it'll be another story.
  9. Okay, now this is up in the air. The dumbass @ Sherdog who made the thread has been outed as a troll but @ DVDVR there's a link to fiveouncesofpain.com where it says the fight is off.
  10. I could see them scrapping the show entirely and making it a Spike event. 99% of the reason they went overseas was their knowledge that Chuck in a UK main event would sell out and get huge publicity.
  11. Chuck/Rashad is OFF due to Chuck being injured. In retrospect they totally screwed themselves by making UFC 84 so top-heavy when it came to the elite LHW's. Lyoto, Wandy, Thiago are all tied up and Jardine and Rashad won't fight each other. I have no clue what they're going to do.
  12. "He is basically a black version of Jardine." No disrespect but that's a fairly ignorant statement to make.
  13. If you have Forrest in your top ten (and you likely do) then by proxy of that Jardine needs to be included.
  14. I don't see how you can blame Tito for utilizing something effectively. Yes, he was one of the pioneers for ground and pound within the guard but the difference is that Tito's strikes were damaging enough that passing for him isn't an issue because he doesn't need to. I wouldn't rank Tito in the top five if he beat Lyoto. Rampage, Forrest, Jardine, Chuck and Shogun are all still above Tito because they, unlike him have racked up wins that matter over the last 3 years.
  15. Holy Club Super Sexe, Goulet chopped $75,000 for the KO of the Night bonus. Daddy Warbucks must've been in a spending mood because the Montreal gate was 2nd behind Tito/Chuck II in terms of revenue.
  16. Was an elite LHW but hasn't been worth a damn in the last 4 years or so. The Rashad fight showed that he still has the ability to be the fighter he once was but I think with his obsession with being a businessman as well as injuries piling up he's on the down-swing. The Lyoto fight could prove me wrong, though. If he fiinished Lyoto he'd be back in the top ten easily but still a long way to go from getting a title shot. At the Q and A with Dana in Montreal somebody asked about Tito and Dana has said that they've hated each other for years now and Tito always comes back to UFC when times like this roll around.
  17. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!~~~~~~!~!~!~ GEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Best night ever
  18. For those planning to go to Montreal for future UFC events make sure you eat breakfast @ Boccachino's, it's all-day and the cheapest most delicious food. That and the waitresses are all insanely hot. 6 HOURS
  19. Fuck I hate it when I think of something and discover to my disgust that somebody at Sherdog has thought the same thing. In this case it was that Serra looked a bit shook by all to booing. This very well could be the extra motivation he needs to beat GSP's ass though.
  20. Oh man, I don't care if I was there live, rewatching them weigh-in vids has me HYPED. Fuck the haters, with the exception of GSP nobody on this card has much to lose but there's lots to be gained which means dudes should be ready to throw. - Prospects like Belcher and Velasquez on the undercard - The totally slept-on dopeness that could be Herman/Maia. It sucks because I dig Ed but Demien is the only Brasil cat on the card. So, yah know. Ehhhhh! - Sammy Stout vs No Love could, depending on some factors, be sick as all hell. Stout has some serious pimp game, btw. Saw him on the streets tonight getting mobbed by a ton of jubs. Mind you, they could've been 17 but whatever. - Athlete vs Dirte could easily be FOTN, I could be reading too much into this but based on his reaction at the weigh-ins and comments lately J-Mac believes this fight to be far beneath him at the moment so naturally I'm cheering for Joe Dirt with all my heart. - Bisping vs McCarthy has HATE going for it. I want a pissed off Bisping just completely running through Captain Miserable. - And yeah, those two other big fights look decent.
  21. Oh, I realized something. In the event of Serra winning they shouldn't even bother with giving him the mic. If today showed anything it's that 2000 plus makes Serra yell to make his voice heard. That voice isn't getting about 22,000.
  22. Heh, pretty much. Hopefully people don't get too upset when it happens.
  23. I gotta give Serra credit, he comes up with consistently good comebacks/quotes to GSP. I think my favorite it "You say the real GSP's gonna show up? Good, I hope he does 'cause I'm right here." Though his "If you guys are angry now you won't like tomorrow night" at the weigh-ins today was choice.
  24. Typing this from the hotel room in Montreal, just got back from the Q and A w/ Dana and weigh-ins. So yeah, weigh-ins were nuts. Fucking NUTS. They packed about 2000 people into the Bell Centre and the crowd was stupid hot. GSP's reaction was deafening and if that's what 2000 people can cook up I can't even fathom what 22,000 strong will sound like tomorrow night. Serra's heat was off the charts. After they weighed in and did the pose Goldberg (filling in for Rogan) tried to interview Serra and swear to God you couldn't hear him over the boos. Aside from GSP/Serra the biggest reactions came for Franklin, Bisping, Stout and MacDonald who got a HUGE reaction probably because there was a ton of Alberta love in the house. Oh, and Kenny Florian and Marc Dellagrotte are officially my homeboys.
  25. I hate cider but then again my only experience with it was a six-pack of Growers and I've avoided the shit since.
