I thought was a perfectly acceptable ppv, but it didn't really excite me either. I almost fell asleep during the main event, and it really wasn't that bad of a match. I wonder how long HBK will be out for. edit: Meltzer said it was fake after reading his review. Sure fooled me.

Biron was absolutely outstanding. Habs would have won had he not been. Philly wins game 3, then the Habs storm back and win the next 3.
-
I was reading Meltzer's report and he quoted an interview from Regal who said he'd be wrestling a lot more now and would be pushed. Question is, who will he feud with? Punk? Jericho?

As much as i'm rooting for the Habs as a team, I totally cannot stand the people of Montreal. First they start a riot, then boo a national anthem, now throw beer on Mike Richards in the penalty box seconds before the Habs tied it up. My friends wonder why I want nothing to do with the province of Quebec.

Cornette working on Midnight Express Book
Fartsauce replied to Diamonddust's topic in General Wrestling
If Cornette writes a book, it'll be 8000 pages. Easily. -
Rockies/Padres into the 18th inning. What the hell.

This episode proved why Randy Marsh is better than Homer Simpson and Peter Griffin.

I liked Avery's little stunt on Brodeur tonight, even if it was extremely unsportsmanlike. I can see them calling that a penalty now though. And holy shit what happened to the Flames?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-crQgPuVdk4 Sounds like Bob Holly. Not sure if this Venis or not?

I like Tom Gilbert but why oh why did Kevin Lowe just sign him to a 6-year, 24 million dollar contract. Just to compare, Ales Hemsky is making the same amount of money and now Joni Pitkanen is going to demand at least 6 per. Bring on the offer sheets.

I actually stopped watching the Calgary/San Jose game to watch the overtime between the Avs and Wild. Really awesome back and forth hockey. Theodore's save on Burns was awesome. I never in a million years would have thought a game involving Minnesota could get that exciting.

Dames, it ended a few minutes after the wrestlers came out. Taker, Vince, Steph didnt make the air.
-
After the show went off the air, everyone stayed out. Undertaker, Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon and John Laurinaitis all came out. Undertaker came out and everybody parted to let him to the ring and he bowed to Flair doing his old urn pose. When Flair walked out of the ring, they parted. The whole place was chanting "Thank you Ric." From Meltzer. AWESOME stuff and I hope it's on WWE.COM shortly. (wont let me quote for some reason)

Well it seems like i'm going to get to post. I'm not known for long "thought out" posts on this board but i'll bullet post what I thought tonight. Also pardon the order of events as I have a bad short term memory. - Opener kinda fell flat. Was hoping to see more from Finlay and JBL in a no holds barred match. Hornswaggle didn't even really do much. - I really enjoyed MITB. Some may feel it wasn't the best one in history but had some cool spots. Particularily enjoyed the opening with everyone running to get ladders, MVP just staying put and eventually hammering everyone trying to get in. Also of note was the plane buzzing overhead the entire match. If you looked really closely you can see a plane a couple of times with a huge banner on it. Although it was not visible, im pretty sure that the TNA plane with the "EVERYONE WATCH TNA IMPACT" banner. Also shocked Punk won. - Batista and Umaga was just there. Nothing really exciting but nothing really offensive either. Nothing else to say about that match. - I didn't mind the Kane squash. Chavo will probably find something to do and Kane will move on to Mark Henry. Oh wait. - HBK/Michaels was the match of the night for me and one of the greatest Wrestlemania has ever seen. The spot where Flair gets up crying and Michaels says "i'm sorry, I love you" is one of those things that has to appear in video packages for years. I almost teared up in front of my 2 buddies when Flair just got up and looked at the crowd and was getting a standing ovation. For all the bad that happens in pro wrestling, this made me really proud to be a fan. Also of note, I wonder how Michaels is feeling after that moonsault onto the table. I wouldn't be suprised if he got some sort of injury from that. - I took a piss during Bunnymania and when I got back was told the lights went out. Pretty surreal moment. Nothing I can say here other than I'm glad Santino will get some sort of Mania paycheque. - I never in 02939040934 years would have thought Orton would retain, although I thought something was up when I figured out this wouldn't be on last. I guess they will rematch next month at Backlash. - Really enjoyed Mayweather/Show. This was nowhere close to Bigelow/LT but was very acceptable. Thought the finish was a little bit lame but what else would they have done? I don't think we've seen the last of Floyd. - Taker/Edge was pretty good but nothing over the top spectacular. Just glad that one of my favourite wrestlers got to main event at Mania. I also noticed that Michael Cole was beyond awful. He must have said "EDGE/UNDERTAKER HAS COUNTERED" at least 20 times tonight at the top of his lungs. I felt Coach and Cole took a bit away from the match but was a good ender to Mania. All in all I feel this Wrestlemania was slightly above average compared to others and could hold up for a little while. -

Poncious Pilate could be the evil commissioner. I like.

I think Big Show will end up losing the match to Mayweather because of excessive blood loss. That way you don't have show ko'd or tko'd and put him over as having heart against a legitimate boxer while Mayweather comes out looking like he "took it to a 7 foot monster".

Adding possible intrigue to the mix is the fact that Luongo is apparently having a kid soon. Hopefully he experiences a miracle SOON as in tomorrow or the next day. If he sticks around the Canucks make the playoffs. If not, the Oilers have a serious chance.
-
Wrestlemania 11 was really bad for me. It didn't feel like a Wrestlemania at all.
-
Yeah I forgot about Guy. I edited the post.

That game almost gave me a heart attack. I am pleasantly suprised the Oilers are 3 points back of a playoff spot considering they have lost over 300 man games this year due to injury. If (and thats a big if) the Oilers made the playoffs, Craig Mactavish should be looked at as a candidate for Coach of the Year with all the injuries to overcome and a very young lineup. I'd still give coach of the year to Bruce Boudreau or Guy Carbonneau

Got 4th Row (not ringside) for Raw in Toronto. The poster several pages back was correct in that everything goes insanely fast on there.

If anyone is stuck watching games or doesn't have access to NHL CI, a guy I chat with on MIRC made his own hockey streaming website and is going to be showing free games till the end of the weekend. www.hockeystreams.tv. I don't know how well the quality of games are but they are there.

After researching tv's for several weeks and insanely reading customer opinions, tech forums, advice from friends and looking at prices, i'm strongly considering going with the Samsung LNT 4061 http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetai...=&langid=EN All I have to do now is go test out the tv in store but I figured i'd ask you guys cause i've lurked in this thread for awhile. Would you recommend this set?
