  1. I'm thinking they have to go with a tweener Kane, both to capitalize on his popularity (face) and be a force to be reckoned with (heel). This is the first time since March, that I'm constantly replaying segments of a specific wrestler, character or feud (Rock/Austin). Whoever is booking Kane's direction right now, deserves a raise to the nth degree.
  2. The latter. 07.26.2001. 04.12.2001 04.05.2001 Team REC (Rhyno, Edge & Christian) v. the Dudley Boys - the in-ring debut of Spike & Rhyno. 03.15.2001 edition of Smackdown. 01.08.01 edition of RAW. Kickass match, undoubtably the best on this DVD. Did you really watch the DVD? It's actually Rock/Austin in a cage, the night after Wrestlemania X7. 04.02.01 edition of RAW. Still a good match, though. It's the infamous "Hero/Jackass" promo. 07.02.01 edition of RAW, the same night of the also-infamous "WCW on WWF" main event between Booker and Buff Bagwell. It's a quick video package of the Alliance and the WWF preparing for THE ROCK's return in July of that year.
  3. The ringside ticket prices are not as bad as I thought - I was leaning towards the 1-G range.
  4. For Downhome - this list is updated to like, May, I think. I'll fill in the "Extras Needed" list later.
  5. The show ended 11 minutes after the hour, judging by my VCR. That's because I used the "TIMER" option to tape RAW, so I set the timer to tape until a TEN minute overrun. Needless to say, I missed the finish.
  6. There's that key word "IF" again.
  7. Didn't Austin also dismantle the studio (and a studio hand) in this same interview too? DH, I have this MATCH on tape, as I've yet to find that entire show. PM me if you'd want it.
  8. Hook me up with a PM or IM too, Downhome. I've got some extra cash lying around, yo. EDIT: I'll have the cash to do the X-Box or Gamecube if you can do that too, Brent. Since Eagan asked first, give him dibs.
  9. I'm assuming that the WWE wanted to go "national" with their proposed developmental territory - pull a few strings to get them a television deal. Since everyone under the OVW roster is contractually obligated to the WWE, it's just a "pick-up and go" attitude (unless they go the HWA route and release talent).
  10. He was referring to Jazz, not Victoria. Nothing has been reported about Jazz's status over the last six weeks that she's been out of action.
  11. Pfft. More wrestling DVD's than Bob, and I don't get a "...paging bravesfan"? Start with Wrestlemania X-7, Brent. Hogan Not In HCTP

Why hate on Rodney Mack? If they choose to include his current theme music in the game, I will scream with joy...then rip it onto my computer. At this stage in the game, he's no worse than the guys you mentioned. Nowadays, the only way to distinguish the lower mid-carders in WWE video games, is by their finisher. No offense, but who cares if SHANNON MOORE gets a roster spot right now? On another note, Bischoff and Stephanie are there as figureheads for the season mode - I would highly doubt they're playable. Torrie and Stacy are included, to show off the new "Bra & Panties Match" mode that THQ invested new motion-capture models to.
  13. Spring Stampede 1999? Always wondered WHY they did the injury angle, especially since Hogan wasn't the champion going in, so there'd be no reason for Hogan to play his "creative control" card.

Addendum: Zach Gowen is in the game too (according to a magazine preview of HTCP).

There are 10 legends (which makes 63), with more in the negotiations stage - strangely, that's already more characters than THQ had stated (62).

More pictures... SPEAR! ::wets pants:: HOLLLLLLYWOOOOD ROCK! Booker looks a bit like Snoop in this shot... ROCKY! ------------------------------------------------- Also, here's the current roster from what IGN has spilled- That's 54 confirmed, so more to come. EDIT: Roster update. Other Notes: --Unfortunately one character we established will not be in the game, though, is the balding-one himself, Hollywood Hulk Hogan. Originally reported by several publications as a definite superstar, the Hulkster has been completely omitted from both the legendary and active rosters. Bummer. --Also up in the air is the finalized list of legendary wrestlers as there are several still under negotiation. Sgt Slaughter, Hillbilly Jim, Hawk, Animal, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, The Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, George "the Animal Steele, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, and Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, however, have all been squared away for the final release. (That makes TEN legends.)

  18. I distinctly remember this tag match being VERY good, with the crowd at a "fever pitch". This one too.

Not to get anyone's hopes up, but what else could that feature mean?
  20. EDIT: Nevermind, that was Mike Awesome.
  21. How abouy Shawn getting his ass handed to him by the Rougeaus in that injury angle in the late 80's. That was funny.
  22. No, this turn was simply left for the viewer to "put the pieces together". If Vince comes out next week and explains that the EMTS were paid off, it'll give us that feeling of "Ooooh, now it makes SENSE.". Let's see if and how they explain it next week, before we jump to a conclusion that hasn't even been reached yet.
  23. ::refers to pop-culture tie-in:: Tony Danza?
