    NBA Week 1

    Stop scoring.
  2. No shit. After seeing Hogan/Slaughter as my first match, I'm sold on buying the yearly subscription. Kane is injured. All they have to do is hotshot the titles back to them, effectively breaking up the Kane/TBS alliance.

    NBA Week 1

Anyone else using SportsInteraction.com? If Dallas/Phoenix stays under 215 points total (180 going into overtime), I make 10.93 off of a $3.00 bet. It was a combination bet with DEN/SA going over 189 points.
  4. "Yea, do you believe I was fired?" This is quite disturbing.
  5. This is how I had the angle booked from the moment they announced the stipulations. It's the natural progression with how the promotion operates, but they don't even follow their own guidelines anymore.
  6. Yeah, I figured that as soon as they moved onto the rest of the show.
  7. It's depressing that the WWE can do segments that are dead-on perfect that have the crowd buzzing, like the first segment on RAW with the RAW/Smackdown fight, as well as the JBL/Rey invasion last week, but can do so many segments completely wrong that we have no choice but to focus on those.
  8. From the Observer site...
  9. There's a Shane Douglas joke in there somewhere. Scratch that...there are two Shane Douglas jokes in there somwhere.
  10. Speaks the truth. ^ Christian simply doesn't sign a new contract, but works one more date as asked. Austin walks out just prior to a PPV he's booked on. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, one guy is doing it to be a true professional, because he has a long future ahead of him and money to make... The other guy is protecting his investment, because he's got one last match in him and he wants to make as much money as possible. The comparison isn't really there, regardless of whether I agree with either of their actions.
  11. You're describing every promotion ever.
  12. True, "money talks" to a certain degree, but I could see either party being vengeful enough to not come to terms in time for the card. EDIT: I went back and added *probably* to my last post, before knk posted the reply above. EDIT 2: I truly have no idea what they had in mind for this angle beyond the Taboo Tuesday match.
  13. You know, bait and switching the fans by having Coach "rig" the voting so that they'd have a verbal debate, then have Austin beat the piss out of him to make the crowd happy, then bait and switch the Ross turn, accomplishes the same thing and follows the storyline they were planning to go with. This also keeps Austin away from the ring, keeping the novelty of his "big return match" for Hogan. With this booking, you *probably* just pissed away the money-making match of ALL money-making matches.
  14. Lesnar wouldn't have gotten the rub from Eddie interfering in a match. Lesnar's gimmick wasn't that he beat these top-tier guys with the help of Heyman or whathefuck - it's that he was overpowering those guys and beating them clean as a whistle. ...and Eddie getting a rub from that match was the least of anyone's concerns then. They didn't have a plan for Eddie past that, so the feud wasn't beneficial to anyone.
  15. There's enough time to feature the Divas, who are actually a draw in the company, and Benjamin too. Just look at the last two years of RAW. There are other storylines that you should directing your disgust at - ones that aren't even furthering active competitors and ones that will have a dead-end blowoff.

    BCS Standings III

BCS breakdown for this week's rankings. The ranking for Oklahoma comes from the love that they're getting from the computers. Only the Billingsley has them unranked - the others have the Sooners ranked around #20 or so.
  17. The spoilers surrounding the Smackdown Five are very generalized - they'll probably tape a backstage segment later that comments on Taboo Tuesday.
  18. In this year's Battle Royal, Trish will defend the Women's Championship against Ashley, Mickie James, Maria, Candice and Victoria. But what will they be wearing? You the fans can choose whether RAW's Divas will be dressed in lingerie, leather & lace, or cheerleader outfits.
  19. Ripped from the Torch.

    NFL Week 8

    Yet, he's still a trade-up from J.P. Losman.

    NFL Week 8

Wow, the Bills are just....indescribable as a team.

    NFL Week 8

Sweet. I just made three bucks off of a $1 bet that Buffalo would score first. Hooray for no-risk bets!

    NFL Week 8

I have to agree with Maguire - I've never seen a player drop a ball like that. It's like he forgot that he was the ball carrier, because I figured he'd at least fall to the ground with the ball.

    C'mon, KC, beat that spread....
  25. In the past three weeks... Summerslam 2005. Tombstone: The History of the Undertaker (3-Disc). Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior. TNA Anthology Boxset. Also, from a wherehouse.com "33% off used CD's, DVD's and games" sale, I picked up... WWE: The Stone Cold Truth ($6.69) WWE: Mick Foley's Greatest Hits and Misses ($8.70) WWE: Bloodbath - Wrestling's Most Incredible Steel Cage Matches($7.36) WWE: Survivor Series 2003 - A Fall from Grace ($6.69) ECW: One Night Stand ($10.04) The Unreal Story of Pro Wrestling ($6.02) WWF Invasion ($6.69) WWE: Survivor Series 2004 ($9.37) Total: $71.51. I also completed a transaction to sell $67.84 in credit for five DVD's (terrible movies i had never planned on watching) and eight CD's (of none that I don't mind parting with).
