This was quite the random bump. No, for both Bret being involved and thankfully, to any chances of Austin/Hogan.

Yes, last night's episode was fairly enjoyable especially with the loads of Hiro and a healthy dose of Claire. Next week looks intense and awesome if they are really going to collide and that should give alot of indications about who fits where and why. It's amazing that a show with nearly two dozen characters to keep track of, that they all seem to get their fair share of time and aside from 2-3 of them, you actually care about them especially when they have their own little quality.

What annoys me about Matt is that at the start of the series, that character had alot of potential and aside from a couple good stories or situations, he's been a complete waste of time and space for this show. As it stands, I'm enjoying season 4 far greater then I did with season 3 but the show is still slumping from the peak it reached at season 2.

LT is my current front runner and that's because he is carrying the team more then Manning is for the moment. Not that Manning isn't having yet another fantastic season by his standards, but LT is going to be out of the world as the season progresses. Manning has worked with this core for the better part of multiple seasons (give or take a player here and there) but LT is basically moving things for a rookie QB. That's mighty impressive.

Hardly. Claudio isn't the worker that Punk was known for being and Claudio is more known for his charisma, character and wacky tag team combos with Hero. Claudio wouldn't be diluted as much as Punk has and even Punk hasn't been rescricted much either if you look at his OVW stuff where he got 10-12 minutes on average. It's basically a 30 minute ROH Punk match condensed into a tighter and somewhat more crisp pace.

It's $17.99 regular at Wal-Mart.

Raw gets the Woman's title and likely higher profile/main event match surrounding them.

I missed out earlier bout those random teams but remember Rockers, Snuka and Roberts? How coked out were they?
-
While they aren't the best workers and these matches haven't been off the charts, these two seem to be getting more suited to each other and have shaken off the original awkwardness.

It would sound like TNA would be ideal for him. Just work a contract for the tv tapings, PPV and 1/4 of the house shows in 2007. I think if TNA is willing to pay out the ass for Sting, they'd have to give into Sapp here.

Why are you still doing that stupid WWE shit? Secondly, it's not like they suddenly went traditional here. They had at least one elimination matches every year for this event since 1999 excluding 2002 but that was covered with a EC and tag team elimination triple threat. All they changed here was adding a squash elimination match and the random pairing of main eventers and mid-carders.

Awesome. As for the 5x5.. it's one night of the year.. Have some fun? I think he's saying why are they 5x5 when they were always 4x4 so how are they classic matches? They were 5 on 5 originally genius. How long you been watching wrestling, for 3 years? To be fair, WWE used the 4 vs 4 format more then the 5 vs 5.
-
Also, because I don't want to go back and find it Mecca, Survivor Series were originally 5 vs 5 and was 4 vs 4 from 1989-1993, went back to 5 vs 5 for 1994 and went back to 4/4 from 1995-2000. Since then it's been 5 vs 5.

It's survivor series. Its supposed to be random collection of superstars teaming up. It's essentially putting 4/5 different feuds into one match DX/RKO - Punk/Knox DX/RKO Hardy/Nitro Hardy/Helms(A little of Edge too) CENA/SHOW - Cena/Umaga RVD+Sabu/Show Kane/MVP(Umaga as well) Lashley/Test and Finlay is sorta the odd man out but they could easily start a Kane/Finlay program here)

God, this stuff is so forced. No wonder these writers couldn't get work in real hollywood.

He's trying to fit in with his team-mates.

Right, just figured Shawn was probably one of the few that would bother to do anything for Eddie on this day. It's even sadder though, knowing how badly Shawn is trying to come off as a 17 year old here with the armbands and skull cap.
-
Is Shawn wearing a black band in memory of Eddie?

I figure some people aren't looking at spoilers. So here's your thread to make your running commentary and voice your complaints.

In the first post, he said he wanted to visit friends in LA.

Kornheiser is a columnist and since he's supposed to be a throwback to Cosell, he's going to make the grand epic opening statements. Is it annoying when he tries to make Bruce Gradkowski some incredible story of triumph? Yes but if it's genuine meaningful statement, it's not that annoying.
-
Worse than Michael Irvin? At least Irvin won a superbowl. What the fuck is Sean salisbury steak known for? I'd go as far as saying he's the most annoying person on ESPN. He's up there with Scott, Greenie and the douche from the broncos. Schlereth or Jackson? Schlereth is probably one of the very few intelligent and not-annoying analysts on the entire network, much less the ones involved with the football package.

What gets me is that Sapp has been around for about eight years now (and maybe longer) and they just now decided to have a bidding war for the guy. Was he under some unbreakable contract or did each promotion finally realize that Cena and/or Joe, and nostalgia wasn't going to be enough.

Since you asked (no order) and this is counting from the peak of Kurt's career (2002 to now) Bryan Danielson Samoa Joe CM Punk Kenta Kobashi KENTA Mysterio Eddie Guerrero Naomichi Marufuji Jun Akiyama Mitsuharu Misawa Chris Benoit Nigel McGuinness Brock Lesnar Christopher Daniels Austin Aries Minoru Fujita Roderick Strong Low Ki Akria Taue Doug Williams Yoshinobu Kanemaru Takeshi Morishima Homicide Paul London Hiroshi Tanahashi I dont follow Mexico and Europe enough to include them. 50 might be stretching it but to say Kurt is even remotely sniffing the top spot is ludicrous. There's at least 15 easily better then Kurt Angle and the rest can be shifted around. *edit: Knocked it down to 25 and added/deleted a couple names after reviewing the list
