Smackdown and ECW are written with great detail, usually letting the in-ring product speak for itself. They got smarter writers and bookers overall on those shows but it's the failed hollywood writers, Gerwirtz and Stephanie running the Raw show with Vince's giant ego pulling the strings. They spend more times going through the aisle at blockbuster looking to spoof 80's comedies for DX skits then they do on the show as a whole.

  Where are they moving to in Pennsylvania? Belle Vernon? Something like that.

Conversely, ECW looks very good. I'm all for having longer matches on Raw but not another pointless DX vs Raw tag team jobbers match. Wasn't Masters getting jobbed out to Crazy a month ago and a general joke, now they are doing the masterlock stuff again? How they write a solid block of TV for tuesdays and fridays but shit the bed for Raw befuddles me.
-
I was wondering how long it would take for them to put Hardy in a ladder match and I would imagine they are planning for Hardy/Nitro: Ladder for raw next week or the night after Series.
-
I guess they aren't going to explain the random teams at Survivor Series.
-
Didn't that awhile ago as well? I know WWE tried and got the same notice. Shocked WWE never tried to copyright Ravin.

a damning indictment if i ever read one. but dont ban marvin, he offers us too much fodder. and really, he makes us all feel so so SO much better about ourselves. What gets me is that Marvin stumbles into all these situations with girls but screws it up in dramatic fashion, yet elsewhere here, you got people wondering why they can't get a girl despite much effort.
-
Doug Williams would be awesome for ECW. Put him with Harry Smith and you got an great team right there. Williams is a big guy, so I don't see why they wouldn't.

You want to have a 2 hour blowjob along with a guy who has no ability to call a match, release the best heel commentator since the good days of Lawler and probably the closest you will ever get to Ventura again and slap one of their very few capable main eventers on that show behind the desk when he still has another year or two left in him. You must work for TNA.

It’s official. I have no ability in predicting football games anymore. I correctly predicted (excluding the meaningless MNF game) FIVE games cumulative in College and Pro football pick-em. That’s FIVE FOR THIRTY! I’m not good at math but that’s like a .166 average. That wasn’t the worst of it over the weekend, though. Friday afternoon, I came home and found my sister standing in the kitchen making dinner which was weird since she hasn’t come over much since the wedding. I asked why she was there and she shrugged, telling me that she was told to come over and start dinner. We made light conversation wondering and speculating on the cause of this apparent family meeting. Finally they each arrived and after we sat down for this prepared dinner, which was beyond weird enough but they finally came out and informed us that they had decided it was time to move and “retire”. Having already made the arrangements and found a house in some small town in Pennsylvania where my mother knew she’d get work as a teacher and my father whom has saved a comfortable amount would essentially work out of his garage doing custom jobs on cars. This didn’t drastically affect my sister, as she’s already on her own with a husband and probably with kids very soon. Of course, I’m not married. I’m not “settled” in by any means yet. Obviously, I can’t follow my parents down there. They plan on selling the house and this will leave me with a decision to make. I’ve mentioned before here that I wasn’t planning on staying home much longer especially after I already had a brief taste of living on my own. It was time for me to seriously start looking ahead but I’m not really concerned about where I will go (I’ll either get an apartment of my own somewhere near by, probably Middletown because of how dirt cheap it is in comparison to other towns near-by) or I’ll made the serious jump and move in with Allison, whom will be room-mate free next year in Oxford. That’s scary for me, to realize that after just 2 months together, I am willing to live with her. It’s because of this feeling that I don’t want to do that. I’m more bothered by the prospect of my parents being at least 5-6 hours away from me. I’m not dependant on them but it was always nice, even when I was living at Miami to know that it was just a short drive away if I needed something or they needed me. Sure, I got other family and even a couple friends around but they aren’t your parents. To make matters worse, having found out my parents were moving and I was out of a home, that fever from two weeks ago crept up again and with the girlfriend out of town, I was left to my own devices and this allowed me to catch up on various movies and TV shows that I hadn’t seen. What, you think I was going to give you a report on those shows/movies? No! However, I will stay I was greatly entertained by this movie called “Pretty Persuasion”. Granted, it wasn’t the most original plot but the acting was good especially with the hammy greatness of James Woods. I think he automatically improves the quality of every movie he appears in, even if they are all the same smarmy character. I mean, look at this list Salvador Diggstown Straight Talk Chaplin Casino Nixon Ghosts of Mississippi Contact Vampires Virgin Suicides Any Given Sunday True Crime Riding In Cars With Boys Scary Movie 2 Stuart Little 2/Hercules/Easter Egg Adventure/Recess/Final Fantasy/Grand Theft Auto/Scarface (Voice) Rudy: The Rudy Giuliani Story (Yes, they actually made a movie about him) What an awesome dude and his TV show rocks too.

Not even that. There's a difference in Ricky Steamboat thinking his match with Savage at WM was an all-time great and he's gone many times publically saying that but he won't claim that he is involved in every great match. It takes a special kind of arrogance and ego to think you are the greatest in a business where there are stats to prove anything and is all subjective. That sort of ego is reserved for the Hart, Flair, Angle, and Michaels of the world.

When Lawler isn't bogged down by his need to play up his old man "character", he can be fairly effective. Ross is still good for the big main event type match where he goes back into that 1989 mode but those events are so far apart and he grows more and more senile by the day. It's like John Madden. A legend that will always be adored but even with the brief glimpses of lingering greatness, it's not worth it for the obvious deterioration. Also, I don't buy that nobody in the back is capable of working at the table. Remember when they rotated random wrestlers like Perfect, Owen and others? They should do that again. You got over a hundred "producers" out there and you're telling me that none of them can talk? You got Hayes back there. That's all he can do! Hendrix/JBL would be great and you can shift Cole over to Raw to replace Ross.

No. Look, I know where you’re coming from and I’m basically the same way but going into that particular match, you had to be aware that it was going to be a complete high-spot roller coaster train ride of a spectacle just like you have to take most TLC type matches where selling, story and all those pretty things that make a great package elsewhere gets toss aside. You went into that match looking to grade it like an essay for a school paper. There wasn’t any point in doing that because it’s not going to be executed in the same manner of most regular matches. It’s not a Danielson match where you can break everything down into a complete examination because there was nothing to break down in this match. I can completely agree that the match had flaws but I’m just saying and it’s not in direction of you but rather a community of a whole, why bother trying to examine a match with the same criteria as another match when it wouldn’t be possible. -
No, but even in WWE, Kurt Angle was always behind someone and even if you want to be technical about "WWE", Angle wasn't in 1/4 of those top ten match matches much less all of them. This doesn't really bother me as most main event names who put so much on their wrestling skills such as Hart, Angle and Flair will over value themselves. Angle isn't at Bret levels quite yet but he's getting there with his ego and constant need to slam Vince. Bret cooled off and matured to an extent, while Angle seems like he will actually fall apart in his drive to "stick it" to Vince.

I want Styles and West in a shilling contest. Rookie Cards Vs Gold Coins.

Why would you bother caring about selling in match that was being put over as an exhibition display? Sometimes things like selling is meaningless in the context of matches like that or any other spot based match. I'll take that match over the many methodical and plodding matches that are over praised because someone was a good actor. Bret sold leg injuries like he was literally being yanked limb by limb even for 10 minute jobber squashes on WWF Challenge, does the existance of Bret's outrageous selling make that a better match then something like this particular match that goes beyond almost anything out there (and some would say with conviction that this match was done better later on)? No, not even close. I hate how people will watch a match just for the sole purpose of trying to determine where it places on a personal and subjective list. That's far from what the purpose of wrestling matches are and it really sours someone's entertainment if they are LOOKING for flaws. It's like going into a movie and saying "Okay, it needs a great plot, acting, writing, direction, photography, costume and a good ending" and after the movie ends, you take out that list and go "well, it had really great dialouge and the direction was awesome but the costumes and the colors were really bad, so it's barely on my list". I didn't think that match was as great as it was hyped to be and has EASILY been blown away about 4-5 times in ROH since that night (and some might argue that Roderick and Dragon did so that very same night) but I do think it was incredible for what it was and it shouldn't be judged like a normal match because this was far from that. It's like comparing The Matrix with Gone With The Wind. You can't put them on the same list because they are totally different with different purposes. Both excelled at what they were going for but you can't say one is better then the other because of pre established set of rules to qualify for some list. -

Yeah, Hero, Cabana, Sydal, Delirious and Low Ki are nobodies. what? -
Angle is like Nash in that he says the right thing but doesn't do them.
-
Kurt is reaching Nash levels here
-
Angle has an ego about as his big as anyone I've seen in a business crawling with massive ego's.
-
I think this is the 3rd time Denver cost me a game with their conservative "we dont need to score too much" playing.
-
Why would someone take 13 years off and try to get a job in WWE despite having talent and no look? If she needs money, she's in the wrong business and if she wants to work, she should just go to SHIMMER. However, Melenko is one of McMahon's biggest ass-kisers so maybe he can do her a favor and get her job somewhere in the company.
-
It's a complete waste to bother with two massive egos that don't really want to work together, it's a total political war-zone and it wouldn't do ANYTHING to the actual buyrate. They will sell at least 1 million anyways, it's a waste of time, effort and money to do Hogan/Austin.
-
That's 3 straight loses by a touchdown or less on the last drive. Palmer was once the comeback driver and now he has another failed attempt. It doesn't get easier for Cincy with New Orleans, Indy, Baltimore and Denver on the horizon.
-
Which is what I said, two gimmie games with GB and Arizona with Denver playing the practice squad. Seattle or St. Louis could easily lay down as well. Edit: 11 catches and 260 yards, that good enough for you Chad?
