I'd like to see Daniels/Angle. Apparently, Daniels carried Angle whom had a concussion during the match.

Foley, mentioned in his blog about a meeting with Vince McMahon the next morning that he said was "very important" and alluded that it was a creative meeting. Foley, in fall of 2004 wanted to bring Punk and Joe into WWE as the "future". Foley was in talks to do a program with McMahon and the idea was that Foley would retract his statement that Orton was the future of the business but it was in fact Joe and Punk. Foley has confirmed various times he wanted to use Joe and work a program with him(in ROH or WWE but his injury prevented that and Joe signing with TNA and Foley signing with WWE prevented that as well). I'm assuming that because of how hard Foley pushed that angle, he still wants to deliver on it in some fashion.

Foley, apparently pitched what he considered his most important meeting every. I'm guessing it was a creative meeting, I like to think Foley has a creative gem left in him but the last 2 go arounds have been carbon copies of the Orton angle. If Foley is "nervous" about pitching a storyline, he must really like it. Maybe he will finally pull the trigger on the storyline he wanted to do with CM Punk and Samoa Joe (obviously with someone else playing Joe's part).

Well, to be fair...her Uncle died. I can't blame her if calling her ex-boyfriend wasn't the first thing on her agenda. I went to the funeral because I wanted to pay my respects to him, not to do it for my ex. Besides, Natalie had done this type of thing to me countless times, canceling plans at the last minute.

Man, the OVEN as Dayton is lovingly refered to as is a part of the charm. The heat(from the crowd and the weather) is a key part of why Redemption was so great. I sat in section C by the soundboard and it was pretty quiet in our area and thats where a good chunk of the brawling occured as well. I think WOCN1 just suffered from not having all the talent available (Shelley and Sabin for instance) and coming off a incredible streak of shows from 3/11 to 4/22. They had to let down a little bit, Dayton just happened to be in line.

Wait, Encino Man needs a mention.

1. Digital Cameras aren't allowed because of the same reasons concert venues don't allow them. It's pretty standard. 2. That would be Mike and that is uncharacteristic of him. He's always been a big help for me, he took my 3rd row seat in January's Cleveland when I asked if I could exchange them for two GA seats for Cleveland and he just gave me 2 extra front row seat free of charge. That's the kind of guy he is. 3. Just depends where you sit really. I sat in a area with quiet and knowledable fans who didn't detract from my enjoyment. 4. ROH is a touring promotion that is a video dependent promotion, every show is meant to transistion to the next. What happened in Cleveland will build for 5/12 and 5/13 in LI and NJ. 5. Of course it wasn't the best impression to leave, and I criticized them for it, saying they had an awkward booking pattern by having the CZW team go over in the closer for Dayton but had ROH go over in the mid-card in Cleveland. Whitmer getting his revenge on Dragon could have closed Cleveland, since AmDragon/Nigel was a CO finish. The tag match should have closed Dayton, not Cleveland. The Brawl in Dayton, should been mid-card as it was for Cleveland. 6. Like you said, there are alot of idiots. So he was probably pissed off enough and just was a little rough.

1. The ticket clearly states no digital photography allowed. 2. The ticket guy (I assume you mean the guy who takes the ticket) is just the same as most security guard @ any venue. If you meant Mike(guy at the booth) he's a good guy. Must been a bad timing. 3. Idiots attend every sporting event, not just ROH shows. 4. The Count-out made better sense after what happened in Cleveland, so it was all a storyline progression. The time-limit was just pointless as if the match wasn't average enough. When the highlight of the match occurs before the bell rings, thats not a good sign. 5. It was supposed to be uncomfortable finish. CZW silenced the ROH crowd again and the injury angle was designed to make fans leave thinking "damn, they really did a number on Whitmer"...which was building to the next show where Whitmer got his revenge on Super Dragon. 6. The reason they rushed everyone out is because they have a midnight curfew and I recall the show ending @ 11:40 and they had to start tearing down the ring to pack up for Cleveland. It also was to sell the Whitmer injury.

I'm going to skip over the sarcastic negative comment you deserve and just say this

I just wonder who you could pair Ortiz and Shamrock with in TNA. Obviously, you can't use Jarrett because that just wouldn't fit and it would be a waste of time. Do you use Samoa Joe who could really shine to the MMA crowd that would check it out? Do you use a more established name like Steiner (who has the old rep of being a crazy stiff brawler)? I could see this working as TNA Impact! main event the thursday before the fight if it happens. Just adds extra build and UFC can hype TNA's next ppv during the show.

McGuiness/Danielson and Danielson/Williams would appear to be the obvious ROH Title matches for the UK Doubleshot. I do believe Most of Gen Next(Evans, Sydal and Aries) are working DG that time, which means Strong is likely the lone rep for GN in UK.

2005 Skip-able shows 3YA P1 BOASJ New Frontiers The Future is Now Escape from New York Fate of an Angel Night of the Grudges II Buffalo Stampede Showdown in Motown These aren't "bad" but they are shows you can handle missing.
-
I think you can probably skip a few shows at this point, not every show is a must have. Like for instance, you would been better off getting 3YAPart 2 instead of part 1.
-
Wow, you should take advantage of the $10 sales and the 3 and 1 sale. I wish I could have attended this show, it sounds like it was better top to bottom then Dayton was. Although, Sydal/Joe Vs Gen Next was pretty crazy and will get alot of hype once the dvd drops. Gen Next is having an insanely good year.
-
Why would they bother mentioning it? You really think the casual fan even remembers this stuff? Fuck, I mean JR has been fired on-air about 10 times now. It's an annual booking pattern.

So this weekend didn't quite finish the way I expected, hell it never even got started. I attended the ROH show in Dayton on Friday night, the show was alright but it lacked that special quality that it needed. At least Joe/Sydal Vs Gen Next and the CZW/ROH brawl were insane. I had prepared to go to OU to meet my friend, Natalie (KKK's favorite) and just visit with her and take her to Cleveland with me for part two of the ROH OHIO DOUBLESHOT weekend. I was packing up my car about to leave for Athens, I gotten a phone-call from my ex. Her uncle had died a few days ago and hadn't gotten around to calling me to tell me the funeral was that day. Her uncle was a good man, he treated me with alot of respect and taught me things I am still grateful for. He died of some cancer, he was barely into his 50's. It's a shame when good people like him die young and I see miserable pricks still alive who serve nothing to soceity other then giving us someone to not want to be. I'm not a big funeral person. I have probably been to 5-6 funerals in my lifetime and all of them usually involved my family or family friends, which meant I usually had people I knew around me to avoid the awkwardness of it all. I called Natalie to inform her that I couldn't come today which she launched a tirade and I just hung up on her. I went to the funeral and it was awkward as expected. I hadn't seen any of these people since me and my ex broke up last summer. Me and Her, had seen each other a couple times since then, both cordial meetings. I couldn't resist noticing that she looked incredible, which is weird because why would you look so good for a funeral? I mingled around and I was surprised most people remembered me. It was nice to see them again but especially nice to see her again. It might seem funny but maybe this funeral will get us back together. The problem is...I'm still attached to my other ex/best friend who is @ Kent right now. She comes home next week. I guess I need to make a decision...go with the EX who I love to death...even if she betrayed me a year ago...or the EX that loves me but I dont love her..even if she sacrificed everything for me a year ago.

Yeah, I don't know why people get all excited this time of the year. School is over, which only means you have to work even more. The weather is really insufferable as it rains all morning and reaches absurd levels of humidity in the afternoon. Sports die out in early june when NBA and NHL are finished. Baseball starts lagging around then, even NASCAR gets apathetic until late August when the Chase begins. Wrestling goes into a funk in the summer because people are busy having real lives. Also, like you I lack the desire to post or internet anymore. I hardly AIM now as well. Last night for instance, I probably had 10 boxes of people saying "hey" "yo" "u there?" and i didn't respond to any of them, except my ex who I gave 10 minutes to. I will probably get back with her, despite the fact it didn't work the first time and all signs say she'll just cheat again. At least this time I get pussy and I'm prepared for the inevitable "I want to see other people" bomb, she'll likely drop on me while laying in bed watching some shitty movie. I hate this time of the year. Anyone who says its the best time of the year are idiot sheep. Everyone really knows December-March is the BEST of the year.

I don't even know where to start.

You can watch other things besides ESPN.

Right, Benny. Anyways, pretty solid episode this week as they actually had interesting stories, scenes and character advancements.
-
This has been a pretty solid episode, even if it heavily involves AJ. He really is a moron. In every sense of the word.

Basically, Bobby(one of Chris's guys) was dating Artie's new hostess and they ran a credit card scam. Artie found out, beat up Bobby. Bobby retaliated by burning Artie's hand. Artie, is losing alot of money. Tony tried to pay it off but Artie wont let him. Chris, went to hollywood to meet with Ben Kingsley for a movie part but he basically blew him off. Chris was in love with the hollywood scene so much it only took 2 scenes to get high again. The highlight was Chris and his partner attacking Lauren Bacall and stealing her gift basket from an award show.

Here is something that bothers me, some promotions such as ROH (as I witnessed this friday) will have staged fights between fans and workers. Such as when Super Dragon "attacked" a fan(plant). Of course, this will make the dvd release and it'll inspire fans to go "hmm, I could take Super Dragon" and the next time ROH or Dragon is in town, they think it's okay to go after the guy. I know Dragon makes a living off assaulting fans but when promotions encourage it, it's not good.
