I forget about a ton of shows because I don't have cable any more so I don't get to see / hear the hype of the cards and wind up forgetting about my picks until like either hours before the show or right when the show starts. Trust me, if I had cable (or at least Spike) I'd be on top of things a bit better.

I checked out Fifa 09 from work tonight. Anyone willing to play a game online and more than likely destroy me..send me a PM or just reply to this.

Word out of Houston is that we've gotten rid of our D-Line coordinator, our DB's coach and our Def. coordinator. Its been said that having a prior experience as a coordinator isn't needed and that we'd look to find someone who's willing to step up and take that role. I'm glad to see we're willing to shake things up and try to get things back in order with our defense but I don't know who we can get. Marinelli's name has been tossed about as coming here.. but I don't know how valid that is.

...sadly, I kind of forgot about the Fight Camp and hadn't really made many picks or bets. Apathy FTW!

I'm happy with 3rd...didn't think I'd make the playoffs when Anderson got benched and to see my guys rally to defeat the 2nd ranked team in the league and at least place top 3 is good enough for me.

Czech, its okay to be upset that yet another Chicago team that simply had to handle their own business is pissing away their chance at doing something. Its not any fan of the Texans fault that for a franchise as storied as the Bears they haven't done shit. Orton climbing up the all-time list of QB starts is sad.. along with how inept the team's been this year and thru-out the past few seasons. I'd rather go 8-8 for another year and spoil a teams chances at the playoffs than to go 7-9 by losing to a team that doesn't deserve to be in the post-season due to their own mistakes.

So its 21-17...my Chicago g/f is yammering on about how the Texans should just let the Bears win the game since they have a shot at the playoffs and how their still in it despite the Bears failing to figure out how to stop the slant pattern 16 weeks into the season. Oh..that roughing the passer call was complete and utter bullshit too..I think my bitching about that actually ended up waking my g/f up. Really?! Really guys?! No fuckin pass interference on that play? Guy gets mauled before the ball even hits him and no flag? Meh.. Lonestars is me...I've been without phone / internet for a bit and honestly thought I was out of the playoffs so I didn't bother to head out to the library to even check on how my team was doing.

I think it was Cowherd yesterday who said that a reason that the Fiesta took Ohio State was to not gain a reputation as a lesser bowl game by taking a mid-major team for a third straight year. In a way it makes sense because while Florida/OU is going to garner huge ratings.. a Utah/Texas or Texas/Boise St wouldn't be a National draw the way Texas/Ohio St would be.

How the fuck do you even figure the Rose Bowl to be for half of the National Title when both teams are outside the top 3? Face it, Florida wins, they're unanimous champs..same if OU wins. Not even Texas has a shot at being a split champion...and last time I checked, they've only got one loss too.
