Which former WCW really benefited from going to
Dandy replied to MikeJordan23's topic in General Wrestling
I think anyone with wrestling ability could get over at major main event status if they were booked to be a 9 time World Champ and dominate the title scene. It's basically the law of averages. -
Okay, I promise this is my last stupid question on the subject...... I had 96 "pests" after running the scan. Now how do I get rid of them? Do I have to pay?
-
Okay, when I went to pestscan.com, at first it wouldn't connect to that page and now it redirects me to http://store.ca.com/v2.0-img/operations/sa.../promo53025.htm and it promotes Pest Patrol instead of Pest Scan. Is this the item I want, or is this spyware ads in and of itself?

Okay, I also have now ran HijackThis! and did a log file to make sure I wasn't deleting something I needed. Would someone that has a good knowledge about this sort of thing please reply (if I am still viewing this folder at the time) or message me? Thanks in advance.

This is the same thing I have going on right now. I started a thread about it a couple of threads down. I have ran Spybot to death, went to Add/Remove Programs and got rid of a BUNCH of other spyware that came with it, but I can't find this one anywhere. Mine is the IEPlugin Search Bar. I left for a week's vacation and my roommate obviously clicked on something he shouldn't have, because this shit was on here when I came back.

Okay, I don't think this is covered in the pinned topics here. If it is, point me in that direction and I apologize for wasting a thread. When I came back from my Christmas vacation, my computer had all sorts of pop-ups and apparent spyware on it. I suspect that one of my roommates clicked on one of those "Your computer may be affected with spyware" ads and it downloaded all these programs. I have Spybot S&D, and I have ran it at least 10 times since I got home last night. It found an amazing amount of spyware for one week's time, and I promptly deleted it. However, the pop-ups continue shortly after running it, and the programs are running upon restart, at least, because they are in the system tray. Also, when I hit CTRL+ALT+DLT, the programs running lists several that I am pretty sure are spyware. A long time ago, a guy that was proficient with computers told me it was possible to set a computer back to it's state on a specific day if you could pinpoint the day you started having problems. I was going to set it back one week to the day I left, but I'm not sure how I would go about doing that. Is this safe, the right thing to do in this situation, and if so, how do I do it? Much appreciation for any input on the situation.

For those of you with DirecTV (newer subscribers) and play the games they have, I am stuck on level 15 of "Egg Egg." I googled the game, but there are no sites that tell you how to beat the levels. It's killing me trying to figure this one out. All help is appreciated.

They missed the boat on turning HBK heel this year. Starting with the buildup to WMXX, then the Showdown in the Desert, the match at Backlash, etc, they could have turned him heel easily. He was getting stale as a face prior to the Kane beatdown, and it would have been fresh IMO.

EDIT----Posted twice without knowing it, second post was better.

Austin was in a battle with them over the name Stone Cold, which WWE trademarked. Maybe he owned the name "Steve Austin" before he came to the WWF and won't allow them to use it now. Just a guess.

Check out their history of Andre the Giant beating "Hollywood Hogan," since they can't refer to him as "Hulk" without spending some money: It was also revealed that Earl Hebner, who was said to have been refereeing the match, wasn’t even in the ring. Instead, DiBiase had paid for another referee to have plastic surgery in order to look like Hebner so that he could guarantee Andre would win the WWE Championship.

Also, the course of the show told a good story leading to Bischoff's decision. Going in, you have HHH, Edge and Benoit to consider for the title. Orton beats Edge clean, thus making a case for him. Batista said that standing tall and victorious in the tag match would show Bischoff who the true champ should be. Jericho totally dominated the end of the match, and pretty much had it won. Batista beat Benoit, making a case for him. Lastly, considering there needs to be 6 men for the chamber, Jericho's involvement in this whole storyline, and his dominating at the end of the tag match, you have to consider him, too. As for the EC match itself, I would buy into any argument for each guy winning. Too close to call right now.

Ummm, I put Syco Sid in bold letters, not wwe.com. I was pointing out that he wasn't in the match and it was Taker like posted above.
-
I hope they are more accurate with this than they are elsewhere on the site, like where they claim that the Final Four match for the title was between Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Vader, and Syco Sid.

Have they shown the episode where someone comes out of the closet yet? Last night was the first episode I've been able to see in a while.

I remember when Fox was a brand new station and they had the simpsons and In Living Color. However, another of my favorite shows was about a teenager whose father was supposedly a spy even though he posed a postman. The kid got involved in the spy business. I vaguely remember "Pumpkin Queen," but not sure if that was from this show or another one. Anyone remember this or other shows from Fox when they were a fledgling network? IIRC, Simpsons, In Living Color, Married with Children and 21 Jumpstreet were all on Fox. What are some others?

I want Rob's Hardcore Title Match against Jeff Hardy, the first one they had on Rob's PPV debut in the Alliance period. Been trying to find it for download forever and all I can get is their ladder match from the next PPV.

Just checked that on imdb.com and that was definitely the show I was thinking of. Appreciate the help!

Forgot all about the "Get Smart" retry with Andy Dick (IIRC). And I remember those others, too. Thanks.

I thought of a concept that I thought was interesting. Let's say at WM21, two wrestlers have a match and something happens that the GM says they must be kept apart for a prolonged amount of time. Either of them violates the edict and they are fired (think HHH-Austin no contact). Over the next week or so, they cut prromos on each other but stay away from being in the same place. Then, one of them challenges the other to a stipulation. Since they have to stay away from each other and can't interact until a certain point, they will sign for a match on the first PPV that the edict is over. And whoever has the most wins over that time period gets to pick the stipulation for the match. Now what I was thinking, would be 5 months (Summerslam), 8 months (Survivor Series), or 12 months (WM22). Do you think that a feud could work like that where you know that far in advance that the match will take place? I also thought that the competitiveness of trying to win more matches than the other would be interesting. Ideas?

I think that Angle might face Michaels at WM21 like someone else said, and that most likely wouldn't be for the belt. Here are scenarios and prognosis for each participant in the Fatal Fourway: JBL---Has had a long reign as champ, and dropping the Title would make him stronger down the road. If he wins, who are the challengers? Eddie, Booker and Taker all lost against him and then lose to him all at once. Cena won't face him at the Rumble, and JBL will still be a champ with no challengers. I doubt he keeps it. Eddie---Eddie has not been handled the best since dropping the title to JBL. He and Angle still have something to settle in their series, and the Rumble or WM should be a match between the two. If Eddie wins, I think he would either face Angle at the Rumble for the title, or they would have heavy interaction during the Rumble match itself to set up a Mania feud. Eddie would have challengers of Angle, JBL and possibly Booker. Good choice to win the match. Booker T---Booker could fit the "transitional champ" role that someone seems to get at the end of the year. This could be a huge step for Booker, and in a dream world, they could bring up his past with RVD and bring that into a feud for the title. Booker's challengers would be Angle, JBL, possible Eddie, and hopefully RVD. Interesting scenarios there. Undertaker---He could hold the title until Mania, but then you have to factor in the Mania streak. Him losing the title at Mania in a clean match would be a HUUUUUUUUGE rub, but would they do it? If Taker wins, he could start his rumored feud with Angle, face JBL (please no), have Heidenreich wanting a rematch (please no), or possibly Eddie or Booker. Although there are some interesting options, I don't see it coming out this way. I see Eddie taking the strap.

-Expanding on the injury ideas earlier, I would like to see wrestlers be injured for lengthy amounts depending on the amount of damage you inflict on them. For reference, use the storyline in HCTP or SYM where the cruiserweight/jobber comes out and upsets you and finds ways to beat you for the full month. I was using Lesnar and Ultimo Dragon scored the upset. WHen the PPV came down, I beat the mortal hell out of Dragon and hit the F5 6 times in a row to end the match. Dragon should have been out of the game for a month or more and then they could have a feud or believable continuity when he returned. -Include an option to cut a promo or interview to insert yourself in feuds or set up matches for the future. You should also be able to interrupt the other matches on the card for the night. If you could come down and help another person win/lose or just beat the hell out of both guys and cut a promo, that would be cool. -Include personal booking in the season mode. I would love to book my own feuds. They can include the current templates they have set, but I should be able to decide whether or not I want to move one way or another. Totally different from the current selection of a choice and how it leads to different angles, you should be able to branch out at any time. For instance, if your wrestler has been in a mini-feud with another wrestler for a few weeks, you should be able to decide if you want to put it on the back burner and use the continuity a couple months down the line for another storyline (Benjamin undefeated against HHH for example), injure the person in a match, evolve it into a title feud, etc. You should have an infinite number of ways you could go, and be able to book the entire fed. -At least 5 matches per show and 7-8 for PPV's. Being able to book your own angles would make this worthwhile because you could see how things play out for the lesser characters on the shows. -For fuck's sake keep track of who you are friends and enemies with. You should never be fighting people in your faction (like Evolution vs. Evolution for the tag titles) unless you wanted to book it that way. Every time I played as a member of Evolution in HCTP, I ended up putting the titles on the line against the other 2 members of Evolution and dissolving the group like a month in, or fighting each other in tag and then act like it never happened the next show.

I can't get the footage in zip format, either. Is there any other way to get the clips?
