I read on UFCJunkie this morning that everyone was telling him he should hope to see the Tandan McCrory fight because "this kid will amaze you." Well - I also found out this morning that he's from Ithaca, NY... where I currently live and he wrestled for the high school wrestling team (The Ithaca High School "Little Red") here. Awesome. He submitted Pete Spratt last night so off to a good start.

Yeah - I enjoyed every fight. Great KOs from McFedries and Anthony Jackson, a great display of submission defense by Fitch before pounding some face and getting the choke, an awesome performances from Thiago Tavares, just fantastic. And an awesome, balls out main event. Great night.

On the broadcast they said it was the first no-hitter for the Tigers since Jack Morris in 1984. I caught the last inning. He looked filthy.

I took this one totally the opposite way. He was excited. The "we" was NJ and Tony winning over Phil and NY. I think he really was on to working terror and was genuinely excited that Tony got to Phil. He quickly straightened up when he realized what he just did... which lead me to believe that he was happy for Tony getting to Phil.

Yeah I just can't see classifying that ending as brilliant. There are just too many conclusions one would have to draw to assume he got shot and the last thing he saw was Meadow.

I was satisfied with the "end" to Curb, but then of course they signed on for another season.

I'll be watching... via tape delay. I'm also strongly looking forward to Flight of the Conchords...

No. It definitely wasn't a fuck up. Immediately unsatisfying but I don't know... it's interesting. We know Tony's going to trial. I'm just not sure why they did that with Meadow.

Yeah, I'd have liked it a lot better if it were 1 disc. But as it stands now I'd put that towards the top. I like this disc better.

Got the torrent. I need to listen to it a few more times but I can say now, without a doubt in my mind, that this is his best CD since Gold. Maybe even better. It's in the Gold, Heartbreaker echelon of his albums.

The premise of Surf's Up made me groan when I saw the preview the first time, but after I found it was a mockumentary I wanted to see it. The good reviews also steered me in that direction. I'll probably blindly buy the DVD when it comes out.

Irish Jake O'Brien is out of his fight with Tom Murphy at UFC 72. Even worse, the injuries (spinal stingers) may be career threatening.

Over the past few weeks I have really gotten into this... You get $1.50 for every picture you send in of you wearing a shirt and considering I have 20+... I am slowly working on getting a pic in all of my shirts and getting a few free shirts. I've also started scoring submissions so that when one of the ones I liked gets picked I'll probably feel more excited. They've had a few good shirts lately, but I missed my all time favorite shirt. I FINALLY got around to watching the WEC card from Sunday. Faber is a beast. If UFC ever gets a FW division he'll be a mega-star. Hominick got punked and I'm not really believing that Yahya when he said that he didn't remember the choke out. Brock Larson with the quick knockout. He's pretty ugly. Rudo is right, Alessio vs. Conduit from Wreckage was a damn good fight, with the sub coming w/ about 1 second left in the 2nd round. Larson vs. Conduit will be a fight that I'm looking forward to seeing. Despite being from my hometown, Brian Stann gets on my fucking nerves. It's like MMA is a joke to him because he's a tough guy marine and he's seen worse. I'm not necessarily disagreeing with his position but just the way it comes across in his promos makes me not like him very much. "Oh this fight? What's he going to do to me that I haven't seen before in the Marines. In Iraq. Did I mention that I'm a marine? I've seen people die all the time. What's he doing to do? Iwa Jima!!" FU, buddy. And Mir. What can I say about Mir? I'm torn on his role here. At times, I thought, wow... that's a good point that Frank just made. I didn't notice that and I'm glad he was there to point it out. But other times I was left to wonder how they even put him on TV. Examples of this would be his terrible post fight interviews and the way he says all the fights are over when the other guy is still scrambling and/or blocking the sub attempt. Just irritating. Overall, I'd give him a C with some solid A moments and some definite solid F moments.
